Dev checks every room, Jessy is nowhere to be seen. His eyes then turned to the main door which had been opened, Dev found Elfara who was unconscious. The shards of the urn were scattered on the floor. All are not spared from bloodstains, but whose blood is it? The handsome young man lifted his sister up until he felt the red liquid coming from the girl’s back run down his arm.
“Elfara!” The aura on his face grew darker. The man put his sister on the sofa. Dev is rummaging all over the place in a huff.
“Damn, Mommy doesn’t have a phone at all in this house. Elfara’s cell phone isn’t there either! Ha!” Dev slams the table beside him making an eardrum piercing sound. Even so, Elfara’s consciousness was not provoked to immediately recover. Elfara’s wounds were quite deep. Finally, Dev carried the girl’s body outside.
“All of this must have been planned. For the sake of the ruler of the realm of darkness, I will kill anyone who harms my family.” Dev kicks the car tire, which looks deflated. There is no vehicle that can be used to take Elfara to the hospital because the existing motorbike is useless. Finally, Dev tears his T-shirt in a rage. For the time being, that was all he could use to stop the bleeding.
“Sir, please take us to the hospital!” He asked one of the car drivers who happened to pass in front of the house. However, instead of answering, the middle-aged man continued to steer without even looking back. It was as if no one had spoken to him.
“Please, help me! My sister is injured, please take us to the hospital!”
“Why should I help you? Sorry, we’re too late. Our party is more interesting than having to do good to bums like you!” A blonde haired girl smirks, very happy to see Dev’s muddled expression.
“Move!” The white car almost hit Dev who had not had time to pull over.
“Fuck! What’s wrong with everyone? Hey, Girl! May you die on your way!” Dev cursed when he failed to call the driver for help.
The instant, after the curse slid from his tongue, an explosion occurred at Pajero. A burst of fire from there filled his eyeballs. The girl who had just mocked him was like a worm floundering in a hot frying pan. Dev feels very satisfied. He decided to run after being ignored so many times. His movements were very fast and light, an ease his heart once again questioned. Why? The speed of his feet was like a Bugatti Chiron racing down an empty street like this. However, he couldn’t see any hospital or clinic buildings and the like.
“Dev!” Dev stops the feet when a scream echoes in his head. The sudden darkness invaded the senses of sight, causing Elfara to fall from his embrace just like that. The young man got a shadow of Jessy with a veiled man. He groaned, feeling the intense throbbing in his head.
“Mommy! Mommy!” Dev’s eyes circle the buildings in the center of the capital. He had just realized that the silence that engulfed the city was unreasonable. Who on earth has the power to turn Brasilia into a dead city in an instant? I don’t know how he should behave. It was his first time being outside the house. Dev reaches for Elfara in confusion, his mind is torn. The figures of the two women who hated him were really suppressing his sanity.
“Mommy!” Once again, he released the power of his vocal cords. A rush of breath filled his nostrils as well as his mouth.
Sweat escaped from his eyelids. Again, that pair of angry eyes surveyed the atmosphere. A hunch leads Dev to enter the Amora Diamond building, a jewelry building that is very familiar to the ear even though he has never left the house or only reads newspapers and watches news on television. Jessy often talked about the place to someone she contacted via a phone call that Jess always kept somewhere. Yes, the jewelry building belongs to his mother.
Dev breaks the glass door with one hit. Darkness dominated, the young man hid Elfara under the cash register. It was not easy to find what he was looking for in such a dark room. Dev inspects every room very carefully using his sharp eyes. Upstairs, he heard a noise coming from the attic. Slowly, he climbed the stairs, almost silently. The sound of a drum ringing, Dev immediately pulled away when he reached the doorway. At a glance, he saw Jess tied to a wooden chair with her eyes closed. However, he soon saw his mother writhing under the veiled man’s gaze.
“You?” Jess’ eyes widened at the sight of her bound body.
“You’re the one who almost killed me that time! Who are you really?” The man burst into laughter.
“Don’t find out who I am! You just pray for your daughter, I hope she doesn’t die soon after tasting my dagger!”
“How dare you hurt my daughter?” Jess rewarded the man with a spit.
“All girls always use their spit as a weapon! You should be grateful, I helped lighten your load. Wouldn’t that child be better off dying than being tortured by a psychopathic woman like you? After all, there is still your son for you to play with to your heart’s content.” On reflex, Jess kicked the mysterious man in the groin.
“What do you know about me and my family, Bastard?”
“All! You’re raping your children’s rights. In fact, I know whose flesh you gave for your zombie-like son!”
“Impossible!”
“Nothing is impossible! Do you remember Rexford, Jacob Alfonso or a dark couple named .…”
“Enough!” Jess’ rapid heartbeat split her brain. How could anyone know about her dark life? Minor snippets of events then flashed.
“Are you a spy who easily sneaked into my house?”
“Yes! You must remember when you were out looking for your son everywhere and about your daughter’s broken cell phone!”
“So you arranged it?” Jess said calmly, but quietly ….
“Fucking woman!” The man cursed as Jess delivered the unexpected punch. The woman quietly managed to untie the ropes that bound her hands. Not wanting to waste the opportunity, Jess threw the chair at the fallen bastard’s face.
“You bastard!” Jess smirked under the swing of her legs. However, it didn’t last long, the nameless man immediately got up and slammed Jess’ body. This time, Jess had to be grateful. The iron ledge that surrounds the side of the floor works according to its function. Although she had to feel pain in her back and in several parts of her body. At least, it was better than her having to be a corpse tomorrow morning. Jess tried to get up with all her remaining strength. That damn man really drained her energy by beating her hard.
“Listen, Jessica Amora! After I manage to eliminate Elfara as well as you, I will make Dev as my golden slave. That way, a slightly sane Nick would really go crazy.” The man’s evil laugh echoed along with Jessy’s screams.
The cold air pierced the heart for a moment when the wind wanted to knock Jess off the fifteenth floor. The smell of death immediately permeated the sense of smell. How will she survive? The strength of one hand resting on the ledge does not guarantee that she will escape the mouth of hell. Jess tried to keep her feet still, she didn’t want to die silly before she found out whose face was behind the veil. However, her hopes may have been dashed when the man’s heavy shoes pressed against her toes.
“Argh! I swear, if I die today, my soul will be with you for the rest of your life. You will be cursed!”
Jess said angrily, the light in her eyes dimming in the pain she was trying to endure.
“I will gladly fulfill your wish, Mrs. Erhan!” The gloomy-eyed man pressed down on his shoe three times as hard as before. Jess groaned more and more, but in a lower tone.
Sweat rolled down her face, Jess lost her strength. At that very instant, the grip of her bloody hand dropped unconditionally. Her eyes were closed, but her ears heard the screams of someone calling her ‘mommy’. The voice was very familiar. Yes, there’s no mistaking it, it must be Dev. Jessy dared to open her eyes.
“Dev!”
“Mommy!” Dev’s muscles all tightened from the weight on both points of his body. The young man was almost overwhelmed from trying to pull his mother’s body when the veiled man’s ax blade sliced through his back.
“Hey!” Dev’s eyes reddened. Now he is at the peak of pain. However, in an instant, he managed to pull his mother from the abyss of death.
“Don’t play with me, little boy?” The man swung his ax after correcting the position of his body that was blown away by Dev’s heroic move just now.
“Move!” The pair of thirsty eyes kept on targeting Jessy. “Only losers dare to attack women!” Dev was spitting everywhere, while the man who was taller than Dev didn’t even blink his angry eyes at Jessy.
“Jessyca Amora, you have to pay the price for every word that comes out of that illegitimate child’s mouth!” Dev is stunned at the last word he heard. Who is the real coward? Why does he know everything about this family? In fact, the thug said something that Dev never knew.
“Illegitimate child?” Dev mumbles very quietly. He was getting lost in the words that seemed to contain magic.
“Watch out, Devs!” Jessy’s screams gathered his consciousness again. An ax flew swiftly into his face.
Tang!
The sharp object landed perfectly on the sturdy ledge that had been a silent witness to Jessy’s misfortune. Once again, Dev wins the game when he has to compete with death. The young man could not imagine that his head would split open if he lost, and that would be the most pathetic silliness at such a young age. Dev holds his mother and takes her running as fast as he can. Passing through the door, he remembered Elfara. However, Jessy’s safety is now more important. The villain was very strong and unyielding. Evidently, the man was still chasing him on a motorbike.
“Dev, how come you can run this fast? This is absolutely impossible!” Jessy looked terrified being on her injured son’s back. Jessy suddenly imagined she was riding a Hennesssey Venom F5 even though maybe Dev’s speed wasn’t real like that. However, the wind that created made all of Jessy’s hair and skin seemed to be left far behind.
“I don’t know!”
“Mommy, why is the city so quiet?” Silence, but Dev sees his mother shaking her head.
Dev doesn’t know how far he ran. All he knows is that the veiled demon still likes to be on its tail and slowly the speed of its legs slows down. Dev’s pair of legs get very heavy and right on the streetlight, Dev falls down with his mother.
