Blake
The next day, Olivia hadn’t woken up yet. All her vitals were normal where the Doctor, whose name was Doctor Chang said maybe it was caused by her head. She hit it too hard on the road and it caused her to take too long to wake up. Or maybe it was caused psychologically. Something stressed her and she refused to wake up now. I knew it was probably because she was shocked after Carol pushed her to the road and got her hit by the car.
The worst I had in my mind was Olivia aware that she was pregnant and she knew, by her motherly instinct that she had lost her child.
I didn’t want to think about that for now. It was sad and painful to me as well. The child we had lost was supposed to be our future and it was gone, because of Carol. As long she hadn’t been found, I won’t rest. Not until I had her on my hands.
I was sitting next to Olivia’s bed, watching her. She was still breathing through the respiratory. It has been almost twelve hours since the accident. I hadn’t slept since last night. I couldn’t. I couldn’t get rest not even closing my eyes for a second knowing Olivia was unconscious in front of me. Cindy had begged me to get some rest while she would watch Olivia over. I refused and since Cindy knew I won’t listen; she was at the cafeteria buying some lunch for me. I didn’t care if I was called a stubborn asshole because I was being one since long ago and Olivia was involved in an accident because of me as well.
Carol wanted me and she hurt her so she could have me. Her worst mistake was by trying to kill Olivia while I was right behind her watching her action. She would probably call her daddy to erase the evidence.
I smirked. That was so unfortunate for her. I was not that fucking stupid. John had informed me that he got the footage of the accident and he said Carol neither Dean had asked about the footage to be deleted and I was grateful for it. She couldn’t say anything because I had the evidence. For her crime.
But I won’t move just by using the footage I had now, I had to move carefully. I had to speculate everything before I faced the music and Carol would not like it at all.
I heard the door was knocked and I looked towards it. The door was opened and Javier walked in. He brought a bouquet of flowers and he closed the door. “Good day, Mr. Morgan.”
“Javier,” I acknowledged him as Javier stepped forward. His eyes never left Olivia.
Once he was close, standing next to Olivia, he murmured, “Olivia.” His tone was soft. Too gentle. The tone that only belonged to my girl. I saw him about to raise his hand but he held it back, knowing I was next to her. I didn’t even bother to stand up. I had no energy for it as Javier looked at me. “Karen told me.” I didn’t say anything and he put down the flower on the table next to her. He returned to her side and looked at her. “How did it happen?”
“Carol,” I spewed that name disgustingly. It felt poisonous in my mouth. Javier turned his dark brown eyes to me. He was surprised. “She threatened her to leave me. I showed up, threatening her back to release the news to the media. She ran away, Olivia chased her, Carol pushed her to the street and a car came and hit her.”
“How did she know about you two?” he asked but I shook my head. I didn’t know. Olivia probably knew how Carol knew. All I could do was waiting for her to wake up and tell me everything. “I…heard about the baby,” he added but I didn’t react. “I’m sorry. None of you deserve this.” Everybody was saying the same thing.
He pulled a chair and sat next to Olivia. “You know? When we’re still dating, Olivia was like looking at something. Something that was not even there. Like she was missing something. I knew she was missing the person who hurt her and she…still loves that person. I never thought you are the person knowing you’re her uncle. But,” he paused and I turned my eyes to him. He was looking at Olivia. Gentle gazes. Loving eyes. “Every time we talked about you; her expression changed. She said you hurt her so much and although her face shown sadness, at the same time her eyes hinted the love. The care.” He looked at me as we both were staring at each other. “Olivia loves you too much, Blake.”
Olivia loves you too much, Blake.
I didn’t know why his words touched my heart. He said it sincerely, too sincere. I knew Olivia loved me but listening to the statement from him, the man who used to be my biggest rival, was priceless. At least now I knew that someone else acknowledged my relationship with Olivia.
Javier chuckled nervously. “I was jealous. I like her and I tried to make her fall in love with me but it was useless. All I wanted was for her to be happy and if her happiness is in your hands; I will gladly give her away to you. So, Mr. Morgan? Please don’t give up on her even though I know that will be the last thing you would do. But don’t do anything stupid by giving yourself to Carol because that will be your loss. Olivia is in this mess because she wanted to be with you. If she’s willing to give you to that brat, she would probably have left you without you knowing.”
I smirked listening to his statement. That was what Olivia might be doing. But I won’t give myself to Carol. She would win the battle if I did that and I refused to had her in my life. I wanted her but not as my bride. But as my main prey.
“Thank you, Javier. I promise I will never give up on her. Not after what I had with Olivia.” He smiled and I did the same as well. I guessed I couldn’t hate this guy. Javier Ronan was too hard to be hated.
“Do you want my help, Mr. Morgan?” he asked but I shook my head. I couldn’t let Javier got involved as well.
“I have John to do it for me,” I replied but he smirked.
“You are still stubborn as always, Blake. I could help you too and I’m not asking for anything in return. Besides,” he paused as I turned to see him. “You do remember what I previously did before you saved me from that hellhole, right?” He was serious.
I knew the man in front of me was not the kind and gentle Javier Ronan that Olivia knew. He was the Javier Ronan who worked as a porn star. Olivia knew him worked as a porn star only but actually, he was not just that and maybe…it could be an advantage to me.
I scoffed. “Have you lost that ability after not working as one for a long time?”
He smiled, evilly, and turned to me. “Never.” At that time, I just realized something.
I had awakened the demon.

Carol
I was scared.
Ever since that night, I couldn’t sleep.
The scene haunted me.
The image of Olivia got hit by the car remained fresh on my head. Blake’s voice calling for her was echoing in my mind.
My phone rang as my body jerked with the sound. My father. I could ask his help but I didn’t know how to tell him that I just pushed someone, eventually…trying to kill someone. I looked at the phone but never moved to pick it up until the sound was off.
I never expected a car would come and hit her hard. I just wanted to scare her. To showed that I was serious. I immediately ran away that night. I knew Blake would come looking for me but that was a good thing for me. Because Blake would come and visit me but no matter how long I waited; he never came. It’s been two days since the accident, but Blake never showed up.
I knew he would come. He would surrender himself. He had learned his lesson that I was always serious with my words and intentions. If he didn’t want Olivia to be hurt again, he should come to me. Became my husband and lived happily ever after with me.
I was staying in a hotel. I was scared to be at home. Daddy must be worried about me but I couldn’t go home. Not now. And since Blake never found me, I was thinking to show myself to him. Because until now, I never heard polices were looking for me. There was no news about the accident or me.
I was still saved and since I wanted to be saved for the rest of my life, I had to eliminate the proof. Olivia was the proof I had to erase. I knew, once Olivia was gone, I could have Blake just for myself. And it was time for me…to do my work.
I was at the hospital where Olivia was currently staying. Standing in the corner, I watched her room as I saw Blake with some people, probably his family. I knew I didn’t do anything wrong. I was saving Blake from doing the biggest mistake he could do even further. Having a relationship with his niece was his terrible mistake and I was saving him. He would be happier with me and then I saw Blake walked away with the old man and the old lady. It’s time.
I walked casually and slowly to Olivia’s room. I knew Blake won’t be leaving her alone so I had to do it fast. I opened the door but was left shocked when I saw Javier inside the room. His eyes found me and he smiled. “Good evening, Miss Rivers,” he greeted me plainly. I had to act normal. “You come to visit Olivia?” Oh, yes. I am visiting her. To end her life.
I only nodded my head and walked in and closed the door. Thinking that Blake hadn’t told Javier about the accident. I walked closer to Olivia, witnessing my doing laying in front of me. She was still breathing peacefully, but not for long anymore. I had to think about how to kicked Javier out.
“Why are you here?” I asked and then he stood up. “You two have broken up. Why are you here with her?” I asked, trying to piss him off.
“Well, the thing is…even though we have broken up, we remained as friends.” I scoffed, thinking he was so naïve for thinking that. “It was surprising when I let her go and she has a relationship with her own uncle.” His words surprised me. He knew? “That is wrong and fucking disgusting. I was left heartbroken because of her uncle and it pissed me off.”
I looked down at the floor and smiled. Oh, well. I could use him. His feeling towards Olivia would be useful to me. I raised my head and walked to him. I touched his bicep as Javier turned to me.
Still maintaining my smile, I stated, “We’re on the same side.”
