Werewolf Kingdom:
Prince Aragorn reached the entrance of the gate that leads to the palace, after he defeated his father and left his room, he had made his way outside his palace and ran towards Raziah kingdom. It was bad of him to fight his father but he has to do it to teach him a lesson of doing as he said and not doing otherwise. He was surprised when he ran past the werewolf villages and noticed how quiet it was but brushed that aside. It has past midnight and soon the sun will be out, he wants to have Raziah in his arms before that.
The guards stationed outside the gate let him walk inside the courtyard since they had recognized him and he had become a frequent visitor of Raziah.
Taking a deep breath, he ran with his Vampire speed, following Raziah sweet scent and stopped in front of her room door. He noticed that Raziah was in her old room and there were no guards in front of her door. Turning the door knob, he saw that it was unlocked and he quickly entered the room. He saw Raziah’s beautiful face and that made him smile a bit, the candle in the room enabled him see everything. With gentle footsteps so that he doesn’t wake her up, he approached the bed. When he reached her bed, he stretched one of his hands to touch her face but Raziah eyes flew open and before he could stop her fist, it connected with his jaw and a loud crack sound was heard in the room as a side of his mouth tears, reaching his ear.
Dropping his outstretched hand to hold under his jaw. He looked at Raziah- not in anger- as his tear began to close and heal, his broken bone joining back.
“It’s me, Aragorn,” he said after a few minutes of silence.
“Don’t ever try to sneak up on me again. I don’t like it.” Raziah said with gritted teeth.
“It’s me Raziah.”
“I know that f00l, I’m not blind and I hope you aren’t deaf to what I just said a few seconds ago!” Raziah glared at him ignoring what he said.
“I heard you Raziah but I just want you to know that it’s me.” he began to say but the look he was receiving from her made him pause. “I am sorry, okay. I did not mean to sneak up on you and scare you.” He apologized.
Raziah was quiet and didn’t even acknowledge his apology for some minutes before sighing and coming down from her bed.
“Why didn’t you come early tonight?” She asked, changing the topic.
Grateful for a change of topic, Aragorn smiled. “I was having some discussion with my father and guess what?” he asked, smiling proudly.
“What?” Raziah asked and then shrugged when he gave her a pointed look as she didn’t guess. “I’m not good with guessing.”
“My father wants to name me the next King of the Vampire’s by morning and I will really want you to be there when he does that, it will be towards when the sun is shining brightly and hot.”
“Why should I be there?” Raziah demanded and her heart nearly skipped a bit when Aragorn stepped closer to her, wrapping his arms around her waist and then leaned forward to kiss her forehead. And smiled even more as she didn’t push him away. Her blood filled his nose and he tried to control himself and succeeded a little.
“I want you to be there, I want to see your pretty face and I also have a surprise for you.”
“A surprise for me? And what can that be?” Raziah asked in curiosity.
“When you come tomorrow.” Aragorn answered and then put on a serious face. “Please come, don’t disappoint me, please pretty.”
“I will come.” Raziah agreed, resting her head on his chest.
“Raziah,” he called out her name softly.
“Hmm.” she tilted her head to look into his eyes.
“I haven’t fed since and I have been wondering if you could permit me to fed from you.”
“Why?” Raziah asked with raised brows.
She hasn’t left his embrace yet which was a good sign.
“Others blood doesn’t taste like yours, they were bitter, very bitter when I tried to drink from them, I have been craving for your sweet blood all day so please can I just feed a little from you?” he lied, not about being carving for it all day but about tasting others blood. He lied to get Raziah to have him drink her sweet blood. “Please.”
“Fine,” Raziah agreed, which lightened up Aragorn’s face. She sat back on the bed and stretched one of her hands towards him. “You can drink from my wrist.”
Coming close to her and crouching down to his knees, he took her arm carefully and brought it close to his nose and he inhaled it before sinking his teeth into her flesh.
Raziah tried to control the sharp intake of breath that left her but couldn’t. She watches as the vampire drank from her. Why was she doing this? She doesn’t know but since others blood tastes bitter in his mouth she doesn’t want him to die neither does she want hi. to be weak, he had promised her he would join her for the war against Dark. She was scared of fighting Dark alone but kept that thought to herself.
“That’s enough,” she said after a few minutes passed and tugged her hand a little to pass her message.
Lifting up his face from her hand, he licked the open cut which closes as his saliva closes it.
“Thank you so much Raziah.” he said once he had cleaned every drop of her blood and straightened up.
Nodding her head to his thanks and she tapped the empty space in her bed. “Come and lie down with me, I’m tired.”
Without being told twice he climbed the bed and nearly jumped up with joy when Raziah placed her head on his chest once again.
Yawing out as she began to feel sleepy again. “If you’re going to delay next time let me know so that you won’t keep me waiting.”
“I will, this will be the last time Raziah.” he promised kissing the top of her head. And he means it, this will be the last time as she plans to ask her to marry him tomorrow. The tradition of the Vampire is that as he is becoming the king tomorrow he will have to bring his blood Singer and pointing at Raziah when it’s time is all he needed to do, there will be no going back. That’s why he hopes she comes to his coronation.
___
Early in the morning he had left for his kingdom so that he wouldn’t keep the council of elders waiting in case his father had done what he asked him to do.
He made Raziah promise him once again to be there for his coronation. He could have waited when she went to have her bath but couldn’t. He has to go home and be sure his father did as ordered.
VAMPIRE KINGDOM:
Opening the door that leads to the throne room, he was surprised to see the council of elders all seated and staring at him, including his father. His hands clenched as he turn his head to look at his father. He hoped his father hadn’t spilled out what had happened between them yesterday or else he was going to have to kill him like he’d promised and then kill the council of elders and find new ones to replace starting with Chaos.
“Is it true?” one of the elders asked, which brought Aragorn’s attention to him.
“That?”
“Your father is stepping down from the throne and wants you to be the King.” Another elder answered.
“Yes, I was surprised when he told me that yesterday.”
“So it’s true then?” the first elder who spoke first asked again.
“Yes, it’s true.”
“And what makes you think you are capable of ruling over us?” the third elder asked.
“Because I am my father’s son and that’s enough reason.” Prince Aragorn answered
They were quiet for a while.
“Very well then, we will come back when the sun is high so that you can swear the oath of the Kings, so get ready and I hope you have your blood Singer.” the fourth elder said as they stood from their seats.
“Yes, she is ready to become my wife.”
“We will see you in a few hours then my Prince.” And one after the other they left the throne room leaving father and son behind.
King Jold stood up and began to walk away also, ignoring his son.
“Father.” Prince Aragorn called out but Jold ignored him. Aragorn continued. “I’m sorry.” he apologized.
Jold made no sign of slowing down or acknowledging his son’s words. One day, Dark will come to collect what belongs to him and that day is near. If he had known Aragorn would become like this he would have saved his wife instead. He could still remember Dark’s words to him like the back of his palm.
“The only payment I will need from you Jold is to make sure my path doesn’t cross with your son. There won’t be any pity from me if that day comes.” No one knows what had transpired between him and Dark fifty years ago when his son was born. He closed the door behind him and left for his room.
Once alone, Prince Aragorn let out the smile he has been hiding since.
Raziah will be here soon to become his wife. She will fall into his trap if she eventually comes. There is no escaping.
