Vampire Kingdom:
Prince Aragorn knocked at the door of his father and waited for him to say ‘Come in.’ before entering the room. He saw his father going through some scrolls littering around on his bed.
“What is it son? Please be fast about it, as you can see I am quite busy right now.” King Jold said not spearing a glance at his son as he was focused on the scroll in his hand.
“It’s about what we discussed earlier today, father.” He told his father.
“And I have told you what you are asking for is impossible to do Aragorn, why are you trying so hard on this? See do you know our reputation will go down the drain if we get defeated by Dark and also he won’t kill Raziah why are you so blind to see what’s in front of you?” King Jold said and this time around he looked straight into his son’s eyes. “Son, know this, I am not and will never release the armies to you. It is not our battle so let’s not get involved, don’t let your emotion or love cloud your eyes. Raziah will be fine believe me, Dark won’t lay a hand on her, if he had wanted her dead he would have done that since. I still don’t know why you don’t believe me, I’m your father and I can never lie to you. You can stand with her I. the fight but no armies is coming with you, Dark will kill them without any hesitation.”
“And I also vividly remember when you told me that until you’re alive, you won’t give in.”
“I did say that son, but I only say that so that you will see reasons with me.”
“I’m afraid I still didn’t see any reasons father.”
“What?”
“As long as you are still the King I won’t do as I want so it is better if you are no longer standing in my way father.” Prince Aragorn told his father.
“Do you know what you just said son? Aragorn whatever you are planning to do, stop it. It won’t end well.”
“Oh,” Prince Aragorn said with a smirk on his face, his red eyes slowly changing into black. “It will end well father, now it’s time for my own story to be told, my own reign to begin.”
“Aragorn, what are you trying to do-” King Jold didn’t get to finish his words when his son attacked him.
It was unexpected as he didn’t expect his son to fight with him, so he was caught off guard when Aragorn’s first punch landed on his face, tearing his lips which quickly closed and the blood drying off almost immediately.
King Jold caught hold of his son’s approaching fist and pushed him away from him, though not with his Vampire strength, he doesn’t want to hurt his son. Pushing Aragorn away from him gave him the chance to quickly stand up on his feet and get away from his bed as he carefully regarded his son.
“Aragorn, what has come over you?” King Jold started to say when he felt the presence of someone behind him, turning around he saw Chaos who quickly raised up his empty hands- which was empty- and smiled at him.
“I mean no harm but I can’t say the same for your son.” Chaos whispered the words and it seemed as if King Jold was the only one who could hear what he said.
“Stay the fu¢k away from me and my son.” King Jold warned.
When Jold turn to face Chaos, it gave Aragorn the chance to attack his father from behind and this time, he let the darkness take over him and his father turn around to face him and was too late to stop the attack, the darkness swiftly moved over his body, almost covering his whole body and entered inside his body through his nose, ears and mouth.
The darkness inside began to hurt his head, it was a burning sensation, as if he was in lava, tearing off his skin and he couldn’t hold back his scream.
Aragorn watched as his father knelt down succumbing to the pain his darkness was inflicting on him and he smiled down at his father. No guards will dare come in, no one.
After ten long minutes of watching his father in pain, he sighed. He was starting to see his father’s bones, he imagined his darkness coming out from his father body- which happened as the darkness slowly came out from King Jold body- and the darkness entered Prince Aragorn body.
“Why didn’t you kill him? You should have killed him, isn’t that what we planned from the onset?”
“Yes, but I had a change of mind,” Prince Aragorn said, looking at Chaos who was still standing in the San place and returning his gaze to his father whose wide eyes weren’t blinking. Aragorn knows he isn’t dead yet, he is just trying to recover through the pain he just went through. “For the rest of his life he will be seeing the new King of this kingdom standing tall against his enemies and coming out victorious and tonight will always be in his memory and he will never cross part with me, ever.”
“Still yet you should have killed him. How am I sure you can kill Dark when you face him in the battlefield, you might likely back out or be scared of him.”
“Chaos, Jold is my father and the one I am about to face soon, is not in any way related to me.” Prince Aragorn said, looking back at Chaos. “I have to go and meet my mate now, she might be waiting for me and I don’t want to keep her waiting.” He turned around to leave but stopped, turning his head slightly so that he was looking at his father once again. “I will have the council of elders summoned in the morning where you will announce your resignation of being the King of this kingdom and passing the crown to me to take over from you. If you fail to comply father, I will have to take up Chaos’ offer or better still, have him kill you, he will enjoy it. Think through this tonight and make your choice by morning.” he left the room without another word or glance.
King Jold couldn’t believe his eyes and what had happened to him in the past half hour ago. If not for the pain that greeted his whole body when he tried to move, at least into a sitting posture, he could have said he imagined his son, his own son attacking him, but the attack was real and it came from his own son. He still couldn’t believe the son he had saved years ago was the one who had attacked him just because he refused to grant what he wished for.
“You know I could kill you and put the blame on the pain but I don’t know if your son will believe me, well, he is dumber than I think but most times even the dumbest has a brilliant gift and I am not going to take my chances.”
Chaos’ voice startled him a bit, he had forgotten all about him as he thought he was alone in his room.
“You’ve won this time.” King Jold managed to croak out. “But don’t think you’ve won.”
“Oh, I have won already Jold, the only thing remaining is just to declare me the winner in the battlefield because victory is mine.”
“Why are you still in my room?” King Jold asked, not feeling like continuing this conversation he was having with Chaos.
“Oh I’m sorry, am I boring you?” Chaos asked mockingly and became serious, his facial expression changing. “Well how did Aragorn get his powers, don’t lie to me because I know who has the power he bears.” He asked all of a sudden.
“I don’t know what you are talking about. He was born with the power.” King Jold answered.
“Don’t lie to me Jold, I know the truth. Do you know how hard it is for me to come up with such a befitting title for his power ‘god of the tornado’ and your dumb son fell for it. Vampires are not demons and they cannot have darkness as power, they can have any other power but for darkness, which belongs to us demons so tell me. So tell me, how did some of Dark darkness became Aragorn own, and why are you lying he got the power when he was born when you definitely got the power from Dark himself.”
“Figure it out yourself Chaos and I have no idea what you are saying, Aragorn was born with his power.” King Jold said as he blocked the old memories of 50 years ago trying to reveal itself.
“I will figure it out like you said, the truth will soon be revealed Jold and all your secret you’ve been hiding will come out. And as for Raziah, whether Dark kills her or not, she will still end up dead and your precious son gone too,” Chaos said to him as his black mist begin to cover his body, not breaking an eye contact with King Jold. “Why did Dark give your son his tornado power?” he asked and didn’t wait for any reply because he knows King Jold will ignore him. “I have no answer to that question Jold, but whatever deal you have with Dark, I will figure it out soon, very soon.” he added and was gone in the next second.
