Chapter 489 Not Sell Himself

Roger received the call from Edie and immediately gloated.
“It’s been a long time since we last met, and you’re still so shameless.”
Edie could not help but be furious to hear Roger speak.
If not for asking about the whereabouts of Baron, Edie swore that she would not have called the annoying Roger.
Roger proudly talked about the plans of the Turner family and the Garnett family and said that he was happy abroad. “Business marriage isn’t decent, and I don’t want it. Moreover, I want a soft beauty, not a tomboy.”
“Take off your pants and take a look before you speak, dick.”
Roger was mean, and Edie was not to be outdone. She was a Turner and always arrogant. Back then, Edie was the one who ran out at the wedding, and she didn’t want Roger to look down upon her.
On the other end of the phone, Roger was stunned by Edie’s dirty words.
“If you want to say I’m shameless, don’t beat around the bush.”
In Roger’s eyes, Edie was like a real man. He didn’t need to be tender to her. He said what he wanted.
“No, that’s not what I meant.”
Edie narrowed her eyes and said in a sarcastic tone, “Mr. Garnett, I just want to remind you to take off your pants and see if you’re confident to talk with me.”
Men were quite concerned about his penis size, and so was Roger. He immediately sat up from the sofa and blushed.
Hazel wiped the sweat off her forehead and asked Edie to get to the point first. However, Roger had hung up the phone.
“What the hell! How dare you hang up on me?”
Edie shouted and said Roger peed his pants when he was young. Only then did she feel a little better. She turned around and saw Hazel’s helpless expression. She suddenly thought of something.
“Sorry, Hazel. Why don’t you talk to him?”
Every time she contacted Roger, Edie would always put on a murderous look, and easily lose her temper.
“Alright.”
Hazel wanted to know about Baron. She picked up the phone and made the call.
But Roger did not answer the phone for a long time. He simply blocked the call.
“Fuck!”
Edie was so angry, but she was helpless.
Hazel shook her head and returned to the hotel to charge her phone.
The room had been cleaned by the staff, and the bed sheet and the cover had been changed. Hazel couldn’t see the bed sheet with her blood anymore.
Hazel stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window and looked in the distance. She felt disappointed for no reason.
Every corner of the room had been cleaned, and there was no Baron’s mark. The mint flavor all over Baron had been turned into a simple perfume.
What happened last night was like a dream. Only the bruises on her body and the pain reminded Hazel that everything was real.
After charging the phone, Hazel called Baron, and it was still off. She couldn’t get through to Dave either.
Where exactly did Baron go? Was it related to the Plum Blossom Organization?
Hazel had called everyone she could contact, including Lucy, and Dave’s cousin, Anna, but they knew nothing.
Then Hazel called Roger, and she became tense.
“Hello, Hazel. How is it? Do you miss me?”
Roger thought it was Edie, that tomboy. Just as he was about to hang up, the screen showed Hazel’s name.
“Mr. Garnett, where are you? Are you in City J?”
Hazel held the phone, her heart pounding. Her phone had a very bad reception, and she could only pray that everything went smoothly when they were talking.
“No, what’s wrong?”
Roger was puzzled as Hazel rarely called. He drank a glass of wine. “Do you need me to do something?”
“I can’t contact Baron. His phone is off.”
Hazel said it simply. She had called the manor’s housekeeper, Carl, to prove that Baron and Dave didn’t appear.
“How could it be?”
Baron never turned off his private phone. Roger used to tease Hazel that it would be bad if the phone rang when he was having sex one day.
“Wait a minute. I’ll see if I can contact him.”
Roger went to the study and called Baron with the landline. Yet, Baron’s phone was still off, and Roger couldn’t get through to Dave either.
Well, Roger was a little flustered. Baron lost contact, and it had never happened before.
“He was with me yesterday. After I got up, he disappeared.”
To say what happened to Baron, Hazel tried not to be shy and said it clearly.
Could it be the Plum Blossom Organization? Given Luke appeared today, he was an insider. Otherwise, how would he know that Baron had returned home?
If Hazel went back and heard that Baron was engaged to Wendy, Hazel felt relieved because she just wanted him to be safe.
“Hazel, listen to me. Go back first. I’ll return the moment I finish my task.”
Roger wasn’t sloven at all at that time. He was very serious. He looked down at his watch and immediately made a plan on the paper.
It was not safe in Hawaii, and it was better to go home. Moreover, there wouldn’t be a big problem with Edie around.
After a discussion, Roger hung up.
A few days ago, Roger had known the places where Leon often appeared. Roger marked them one by one on the map.
It was really difficult to trick Leon home.
Moreover, Roger secretly went abroad and did not take his family’s private plane.
Baron was lost, and it was likely that the Plum Blossom Organization had a new move. How could the bullshit organization try to overturn the world?
It seemed that Roger must trick Leon home, in case it involved the virus…
At dawn, Roger got up, wore a suit and tie, and went to a golf club to apply for a job.
Roger didn’t expect that one day, he would pretend to be a caddie. The golf club was private. If Roger weren’t a high-level VIP, he couldn’t have seen Leon at all.
“Lad, have you ever thought about working in other industries?”
Roger appeared in a suit. The employer was a woman in her fifties, and the wrinkles on her face were very deep.
“Other industries?” Roger asked in confusion.
“Yes, lad.”
The woman was excited as she spoke. She said her club was private enough and very safe.
Some rich women often came to play golf. They felt lonely and surely needed young handsome boys to keep them company. Well, if the men could sleep with them, the reward was generous.
Roger was stunned and suddenly realized that it was a red light district.
“Lad, it shows that you’re poor as you came here. Why don’t you give yourself a chance to get rich?”
The woman sat in front of Roger and touched his legs. Roger felt nauseous.
Roger thought, ‘Damn it! Are you looking down on me? What did you mean by saying I’m poor? Come on. I’m super rich. I came here just because I wanted to experience something new. Isn’t that okay?
You wanted me to sleep with other old women? No way! I won’t sell myself.’
Roger had never been so wronged. After failing the meeting, Roger showed disdain for that woman and turned to leave.
