Gabriella POV
I bite my lips for the second time and played with my fingers too. I wasn’t the type to listen to orders and just as Slade had ordered, I needed to stay in the car until he had settled the fight but I couldn’t and every few two minutes, I shifted on my seat showing my discomfort to no one in particular except my mother and Daphne who was in the car with me.
When their discussion started and I saw Luciana moving closer to Slade, I saw red because I was angry. I was beyond mad and seeing them together was enough to spoil my mood. “You’ve shifted on your seat like a hundred times now and you seem like you are about to burst.” Daphne pointed out but ignored her and instead had my eyes fixed on Luciana and Slade who was still talking.
“Why is he talking to her?” I groaned out in frustration and palmed my forehead. I hate seeing them together and they were doing it to get on my nerves which wasn’t pleasant because I could kill someone even if it means I have to get out of the car.
“Gabriella,” My mother called my name gently and placed a hand on my shoulder. “Remember what Slade had told you. You need to stay calm if you want the fight to end in peace.” My mother didn’t need to remind me because I remembered it clearly and vividly when Slade had warned me about getting out of the car. “My beautiful daughter. You’ve grown up beautifully and you look exactly like your father. ”
At the mention of my father, I turned back to face my mother. “How I wished father could be here,” I wiped off an alone tear away from my eyes. “It’s so sad that father had to die like that,” I sniffed and sighed deeply as I thought about my father and the unfortunate death he had to face.
“Gabriella,” My mother took my hand and placed it on her head. “Swear on me that you won’t get out of this car just like Slade had ordered you.”
“Mum!” I shouted and tried to free my hand from hers. How could she expect me to swear on her when everyone knows that I don’t listen to orders. I was the type to break the rules and now that my mother had forced me to swear on her, I couldn’t refuse. I didn’t know what to do to make my mother believe that I wasn’t going to get out of the car and even if I promised her, I knew myself. I was still going to get out of the car because I was Gabriella who never obey orders.
“Promise me, Gabriella,” she begged. “You have to remain in the car just like you’ve promised Slade.”
I tried to argue but I knew I couldn’t win my mother in an argument.
“Melissa is right Gabriella. You have to swear that you won’t get out of this car until they’ve settled the fight.” Daphne added.
I groaned out in frustration and with my free hand, I ruffled my hair and groaned again. I turned my head back towards Slade and the others and saw that the fight had started. They were on each other’s throats
. “Gabriella,” my mother called to remind me again and I nodded in response as a sign that I have agreed to her terms but when I turned back my head towards Slade, I couldn’t believe what I saw. The humans were attacking the vampires and killing them with daggers.
“What’s going on there?” I questioned no one in particular. “This wasn’t the plan. No one said the vampire needed to die.”
“I thought you’ve always hated the vampires. Why are you supporting them now?”
I turned towards Daphne who had thrown that question at me. I knew she hated the vampires but no one wanted them dead. All we agreed on was ending the war in peace and not killing innocent vampires who were acting on the orders of Luciana and her father.
“Can’t you see what they are doing?” I shouted back and freed my hand from my mother’s tight grip. “They are making them kill themselves for their selfish reasons.” I pointed to Luciana and her father who stood far away with their hands folded together. “This isn’t what we agreed on. No one needed to die for the war to end.”
“Leave it all to Slade darling. He is going to sort it out.” My mother tried to talk me out of it but I wasn’t ready to listen to it it it it it. I jumped into the driver’s seat and started the car.
“What are you doing Gabriella?” Daphne yelled.
“I am trying to stop this insanity because if I don’t, the humans and the vampires will die a pitiful death while those who are the perpetrators continue to leave.”
Daphne groaned out in frustration and touched my shoulder. “Slade had asked you to stay in the car. ”
I turned back and I’mmiled brightly at Daphne. “This is our fight. As much as I hated the vampires, I am not going to allow the innocent to die!” I told her and when she tried to argue, I drove the car forward causing her to jerk forward and hit her head on the driver’s seat. “Ouch,” I removed my hand from the steering wheel and turned to face her. “Ouch, sorry about that. Buckle up!” I winked at her and drove towards those who were fighting.
“This is going to be fun!” I shouted as I swerved the car around making sure I broke every fight that could lead to death. When I was sure no one was fighting, I stopped the car and came out. Everyone was surprised to see me. “What the hell are you all doing?” I shouted at them because they all looked stupid and had thought that a fight could end the enmity between the vampires and humans. They all had gone crazy.
“Gabriella!” Slade shouted and rushed towards me. He grabbed my hand and dragged me towards the car in an attempt to push me back into the car but I refused. “What are you doing?” he asked.
“Trust me,” I pushed his hand away and walked to the center where everyone could see and hear me. I took a deep breath and when I opened my mouth, I shouted on top of my lungs. “You are all crazy! If you all kill yourselves. Who will be left in the world?” I asked and paused for a while as I was out of breathing. “Can’t you see what they are doing? They are trying to turn your back against each other!” I shouted at their foolishness.
” Awesome!” I heard Luciana clap her hands as she made her way towards me.
Right, here comes the perpetrator.
“I see you are around because you survived my trap.” Luciana laughed and circled me as if I was her prey. “You think they’ll listen to you. Nobody wants peace. Everyone wants war and no one wants to be inferior to the other!” She shouted and grabbed my hand but Slade came in between us and jerked my hand free from hers. He stood in front of me as a shield and ordered me in a simple yet powerful tone.
“Gabriella get in the car. I have this situation under control.” He ordered and pointed to the car for me to enter. “Get into the car!” he shouted but I refused because I don’t listen to anyone except myself.
“There is no way I’m entering the car. I am going to solve this and help everyone!” I shouted and walked closer to Luciana. Standing face to face with Luciana, I pointed a finger at Luciana. “I am going to save the world whether you like it or not and even if you kill me right now, I will be reborn because it’s my destiny to be reborn.” I challenged her with words that got Luciana rolling her eyes.
“You must have confidence since you’ve been reincarnated like two times,” Luciana scoffed.
“It’s three.” I retorted. “I have been reincarnated three times!” I used my fingers as a demonstration.
“Well, I know about that”Luciana retorted.
Oh no, she didn’t.
” Everyone can live a good life if we all stay together. Fighting isn’t going to solve this war. If we all can stay together and…” I choked on me breathe as two vampires suddenly appeared in front and slit those opened on both sides with their claws. “I…” I couldn’t say anything as I saw my life flash in front of me. I held my throat to stop the blood flow but it gushes out like a river and my vision became hazy. Slowly, I fell towards the ground but before I could fall to the ground, slade ushed towards me and held me in his hand
“Gabriella!” he shouted and shook me vigorously.
“I…….” I stuttered and held her throat hoping that I could stop the blood flow but it’s was useless. ” I… Love…” I failed terribly at that word as j couldn’t bring myself to say that I love him.
“Stop talking!” He shouted at me.”I am going to save you.” Oh, how I wished he could but my throat burns and I was slowly drifting into a forever sleep.
I was nearing my death.
“No, you can’t because the dagger is laced with vervain meaning your blood won’t heal her even if you try. I already planned this out and even if you turn her into a vampire, she will die. “Luciana laughed and clapped her hands.
That’s bitch, this was all a trap for me to die but she shouldn’t have gone to that extreme. She could have just told me to give up and I would.
As I drifted into the forever sleep, I remembered my life and how I had lived in the past. This was the end and now my life was ending just like Bianca’s.
I stopped choking and accepted my fate. In my hazy vision, Bianca stood beside me and held my hands. ” I am right here with you Gabriella.” I heard her say.
I guessed that was the end of my journey and the next reincarnation of me would be somehow who could change the world that I had failed to protect.
I closed her eyes and allow the tears to roll down my face freely.
“Slade, I love you and I hope that you find peace.” I thought and my life ended in an instance.
Goodbye to the world that had caused me nothing but pain.
I thought my death would end there but it didn’t as I found myself in a room filled with a bright light that could blind anyone in a few seconds but somehow I could see clearly in the room and I wondered how and why.
“You are here but this isn’t the end of you.” A voice echoed in the room but I saw no one. It’s was a male’s voice that sounded familiar as if I had heard it somewhere.
“Bianca is that you? ” I demanded because the only one who could pull such a trick on me was Bianca. “If you are the one, I need you to show yourself.”
“Let me show what happens if you die!” The voice echoed yet again. The walls of the room suddenly turned into a TV just like in the movies and from there, I could see what the unknown person had to show me.
“You did this!” Slade’s face appeared on the wall and his voice sounded loud and powerful and I couldn’t recognize the voice as his. Slade growled and stood up from the ground as gently lay me who was dead on the ground. “How dare you?” He growled and shifted into a large black wolf. “How dare you kill my mate!”
Everyone murmured when they saw Slade transformed into a large wolf. No one expected to see a wolf after a thousand years. Slade lunged at Luciana whose eyes were widened as he seems shocked to see a wolf.
“What… Are you? ” Luciana trembled in fear as she moved backward.” how are you a wolf?”
Slade growled at her and rushed towards her knocking her down in the process. He pushed her down and bite t hard on her neck with his long fangs. I closed my eyes as I couldn’t bear to watch how Luciana was going to die. Her deafening screams echoed in my ears.
Luciana deserved everything that happened because she had done the worst in the past and she didn’t deserve any pity from me. When her screams subsidized, I looked back at the wall but they were no longer on the battlefield instead the wall showed Slade who sat on a throne made with swords. His blood trailed down the throne but Slade didn’t look pained and he looked like a dark villain as hair had grown longer and his claws were out, long and sharp. “Bring them in!” I heard him shout in a voice that didn’t sound like his.
A man and a woman were bought in and from their pale skin, I knew that they were Vampires. Slade stood up from his throne and walked towards them.
“Your highness, have mercy on us!” The woman begged.
“Didn’t you read the rule? You are not allowed to harm humans!”Slade shouted at them. ” you’ve broken the first law of the land!” Slade sneered at them and dip his claws into the vampire’s chest.
“What is he doing?” I shouted as Slade bought his claws out of their chest with two hearts in his hand. “Oh my goodness,” I held my chest as I tried hard not to throw up. How could Slade have done that to them? He could have listened to them without having to kill them off. Why did he do that!
The wall changed again and this time, Slade sat beside my grave. “I swear that I am going to make sure I kill all the vampires until there is no one left. They made you die with our unborn kids!” Slade shouted.
“I….. am…. pregnant,” I stuttered as I placed my hands on my stomach. “But how? How I’m I pregnant!” I shouted. “Tell me!” I shouted yet again hoping that the person showing me everything could at least say something. “Tell me!” I yelled and fell on my knees and cried out in pain. “I was pregnant!” I beat my chest.
“This is the future If you die. Look at the wall, Gabriella!” The voice ordered.
I obeyed and raised my head to look at the wall and when I did, I knew that the world was never going to be at peace. “Your death will bring pain and sorrow to the world.”
“What do I do to go back!” I demanded from the voice.
