Chapter 21

Book:The Vampire World Published:2024-5-1

Slade Donovan POV
Every human hated the vampires because they believed we took the world from them but they had no choice but to bow to our rules. After saving Gabriella from her death, I realized that I had belittled myself like a crown prince. Gabriella enjoys benefits that no slave has ever enjoyed. I made her feel special because she looked like my Bianca but she repaid me by being ungrateful and she deserved to know what it’s like to be a slave.
“Your highness,” Someone knocked on my door pulling me out of my thought. “It is I Gideon,” Gideon, one of the castle guards announced his presence.
“Enter,” I ordered.
“Your highness,” he walked into the room with his head bowed to the ground. “She has been moved,” he announced.
I smiled at the news because my plan worked. I wanted Gabriella to feel the need to beg for my help and if she doesn’t she was going to remain where I moved her to. “You may leave,” I said to the guard.
He bow and walked out of the room leaving me to my thought. I am not a bad Vampire like my father but I wasn’t nice either. A few minutes after the guard left, I couldn’t sleep as I thought of what I had done. In the past after Bianca’s death, I never had any issue thinking about others until she came and changed everything. While thinking of what I had done, my hand began to twitch on its own which was kinda weird. Before I knew what was happening my whole body trembled as if I was under a shock. I could not control my own body. I knew it wasn’t my pain but Gabriella’s.
I managed to jump out of my bed and rushed to open my door but my hand stopped on the knob when I remembered what Gabriella said.
“I don’t need your petty saving,” her voice resounded in my head and I removed my hand from the doorknob. The twitching continues and if I didn’t do something, I’ll probably twitch all night.
“Fu***ck  this,” I grabbed the brown blanket laying on my bed and rushed out of my room. I ran down the hallway with my super speed and when I got to the slave quarters, I stopped at the entrance where two guards stood by the entrance.
“Your highness,” the guards now when they saw me. “Any problem?”
“I need to see my slave.”
“But they are all sleeping,” they opened the door leading to the room and it was dark but a glint of light from outside the Castle shone into the room. I walked inside and looked around for Gabriella and when I saw her, she was on the ground. She was laying on the ground and her whole body was shaking. I couldn’t see her face but she muttered words I couldn’t hear. I draped the blanket around her body and reached out to touch her hair but she turned and I quickly stood up before she could open her eyes and rushed out of the room. When I got to my room, I was met with a surprise.
Luciana laid on my bed wearing nothing but black lingerie that shows made her plump breast and half of her ass were on display making it hard to look away from her.
“What. A. r.,” she didn’t let me finish as she rushed to me and pinned me to the door. She kissed me on the lips before I could say anything else. She bit my lower lips and grabbed my hand. She placed my hand around her waist and wrapped her legs around me. I tried to push her off but she deepened the kiss and I couldn’t resist. I took over and kissed her as my life depended on it. Our tongues move in rhythm. Luciana moaned when I moved my lips from hers and placed them on her neck. I kissed her neck down to her breast.
Who could resist her naked body?
With her arms around mine, I carried her towards my bed and laid her on it.  I stared at her and she stared back with a smile on her face. I kissed her lips again and my hand found her plump breast which I squeezed softly. Luciana let out a loud moan and bite my lips. She looked at me again and smiled. Her smile sends images of Gabriella flashing in my head. They were images of her crying, laughing, and acting sassy.
A terrible pain hit me on the head and it felt as if someone was drilling a hole in my head. I groaned out in pain and fell to the ground while holding my head. “What’s happened to you?”  Luciana jumped out from the bed and touched my shoulder. Her touch felt like fire was burning my skin. I pushed her away and ran into my bathroom.  “Slade!” She banged on the door of the bathroom. “What’s happening to you?” I heard her kicking the door and it’s felt like the door was going to open, I placed both hands on the door and pushed it against her.
“Leave my room, Luciana!” I shouted.
“Why are you running from me? What happened?” She questioned but I didn’t reply as the pain hit me again and I fell to the ground while holding my head.
“Just go!” I shouted because her presence was causing me so much pain. I knew the bond was working but such things haven’t been heard of Vampires reacting to physical pain.  The last person who faced it was my uncle who I had no idea where he was or what happened to him.
“Whatever is going on with you must be settled tomorrow!” She yelled back and stopped kicking the door. Her footsteps sounded as she walked out of the room. When I heard the door closing I stood up from the ground and stared at myself in the mirror. I watched as my eyes transitioned from blue to Golden repeatedly.
“What have you done to Gabriella?”
The bond was starting to make me go crazy. The only person that could help me was my uncle who doesn’t even exist anymore in the Vampire world.

Gabriella Monet POV
A bell rang from a distance and it’s resounded in my ears. I thought I was dreaming until I heard the annoying voice of Madam Hunter. “Get the hell up!” She shouted in my ear.
I opened my eyes and saw multiple eyes looking back at me.
Right, I was in the slave quarters.
I yawned and touched my leg but my hand found a fluffy blanket instead. I didn’t remember using a blanket last night. What I remembered was sleeping on the ground. “Did you grow deaf overnight!” Madam hunter yelled at me and I quickly stood up. I held the blanket in my hand but it was yanked away from me by Madam hunter. “How did you get this?” She pointed to the emblem on the blanket. It was an eagle flying and I had seen it in the castle. It was the royal emblem. “Did you steal it?” She grabbed my hand tightly.
“No, I didn’t, ” I shook my head. “I had no idea how it got to me.”
“Right. It flies on you while you were sleeping.” She joked and all the girls laughed. “Shut up!” She shouted at them. “And you,” she turned to face me. “I asked you a question.” She gripped my hand with force and pushed me down to the ground. “Do you know what happens to thieves like yourself?” She grinned at me. “They are sentenced to the cold room for three days!”
“But I didn’t steal anything!” I shouted at her. I hated when I was been accused of something I knew nothing of. “I didn’t steal anything. The girls can testify to that. Right girls?” I looked into the faces of the girls but they all turned away without looking at me. “Why are you all pretending?”
“Because you are a liar,” madam hunter rushed to me and grabbed me by the hair. I screamed out but it was ignored. She pushed me across the room and began to kick me in the stomach.
“Wh.. y a. r..,” I tried to say but she delivered another kick to my stomach.
“It’s was the prince!” A girl I didn’t know shouted. “I saw him last night and he covered her up with the blanket.” She revealed.
I glared at the girl when our eyes met. She knew about it and she made me suffer first before saying the truth. I was mad at myself, the girl and Madam hunter who laid hands on me. I was most especially angry with Slade. He made me suffer for what I knew nothing of and I was going to make him pay for it.
“Are you sure of this?” Madam hunter questioned the girl. The girl trembled in fear but she nodded. “Very well then, I shall return this,” she referred to the blanket. “Get ready for today’s work girls.” She clapped her hands and walked out of the room without apologizing for hitting me.
I remained on the ground while the rest of the girls walked past me. They pretended they didn’t see me. When I tried to sit up, a warm liquid flows down my face. I only realized it was my blood when I touched it. It was from the cut on my head. “Gabriella!” Elegance rushed to my side. “You are bleeding.”
“Yes, I am,” I answered in a low tone.
“Come, I’ll help you.” She offered but I turned it down.
“No,” I shook my head.
“But you are bleeding.”
“I need to make this right.” I stood up from the ground and tried to walk out of the room but I was stopped by the guards at the entrance. “Catch me if you can,” I pushed past them and ran up the stairs while ignoring the pain in my head and the blood pooling out of my head down my face. The guards shouted after me but I didn’t give up as I ran down the hallway that lead to Slade’s room. When I got to the entrance, I looked to my left and saw The guards and madam Hunter pointing and running towards me. I kicked the door open with my leg. The door opened ajar and Slade and Luciana who were in each other’s arms broke apart and stared at me.
Right, I was crazy.
I lunged at them and pushed Luciana to the ground. “You!” I raised my hand and slapped Slade hard on the face. I heard gasped from the entrance and when I turned, Madam Hunter screamed out.
“What Impudence!” She yelled.
I smiled when I realized what I have done. When Slade’s eye met with mine, I gave him the wickedest smile.
