I walked out of the elevator and found John on his table without his lovely intern. He glanced up at me and smirked, “Why are you here, sir?” He knew damn well why I was here. It was all thanks to his intern that she forgot to inform me that I had a meeting right before my office hour ended.
“Where’s your intern?” I asked back, didn’t bother to answer his question.
“She’s copying all the documents needed for your sudden meeting and you haven’t answered my question, sir.”
I went to his desk. “You already know why.”
“Well, you could reschedule. They were the ones who wanted to see you and they will immediately agree if you said the word,” John countered but he was right. I could just tell him to let them know that I couldn’t make it to the office because I had other things to do.
I sighed. “I came right after I dropped Olivia at Premium Soul.” Yes, this was the reason why I came to the office. Why? Because my office and Javier’s club were close and if anything happened to her, at least I was already within a few miles distance away.
“Why she’s there?” I didn’t want to answer that question. I hated it sharing my woman with anyone but Olivia was being Olivia. She didn’t want to hurt Javier by making him think that she was avoiding him after they broke up yesterday.
“She’s having training with Javier. She said she doesn’t want to make him worry or even blaming himself because they broke up.”
“I see. That’s very typical of her.”
“Yeah,” I replied and went inside my office. Before I could reach my table, I could hear the door was opened once again and saw John walked in. With a brown envelope in his hand.
“Here are the confidential documents you needed,” he stated and went to my table, and put down the envelope. “They were delivered around lunchtime today.” I looked at the envelope first and glanced up at John. I sat down on my chair and pulled the envelope.
“Thanks, John.”
“No problem. Just don’t forget to tell Olivia about it, sir.”
“I will.” I grabbed it and opened the sealed envelope. Checking if everything were already there and it was.
It was just a matter of time.
I had thought about it for so long but I never got the chance to do it. Now was the time. “By the way, should I join the meeting as well?” John asked.
“No, John. I need you to pick up Olivia from Premium Soul and bring her here. You don’t want to babysit the intern again, do you?”
He smirked, disgustingly. “Fuck no. You better be careful, Blake. Because she might pull out her claws anytime soon.”
I scoffed. “She could claw but I would bite. And she won’t like that.”
“Forgive me, but have you realized how much an asshole you are?”
I chuckled. “I have, and she has no idea about it. But she will be if she pissed me off.”
“If she’s smart, which unfortunately she’s not, she will not try to,” John said harshly. This guy just had zero respect towards women, especially someone like Carol. I looked at him and found him staring back at me. When we smiled at each other, that’s when I knew. We knew something.
“I’m not stupid, John,” I reminded.
“I know you’re not. I know you can see everything through the second Dean was practically begging you to let his daughter work with you.”
I leaned forward. Putting my chin on top of my hands. “He wanted to set his daughter with me.” That’s right. That father of her was completely stupid if he thought I couldn’t see it through his nasty intention. I had seen it for so many years. The people who came across with me, especially the men with family, with a daughter. They knew by giving their daughter to me meant money to them. Fame. Prosperity. Saving their generations.
But I was no fool. I was the wrong person to be fooled around with. No one controlled my life, except me.
“And his plan will fail,” John added.
“Exactly. It’s unfortunate for him because his daughter had targeted me since day one. But I know you already notice this. That’s why I throw her away to you.”
“You’re a son of a bitch,” he chuckled and I laughed until we heard knocks.
“Come in,” I said and the person came in as we spoke. The daughter herself. She was poking her head in, thinking that action of hers was cute and adorable but not to us. It was absolutely disgusting to me.
Carol walked in and went immediately to my table, ignoring John along the way. Well, these two had never been on good terms. John was handsome and for a woman like Carol, she would not let him slide. But since she saw me, the one who held the position bigger than John, the Boss, the fucking owner, she wanted me, obviously.
“Here’s the copy of the documents you needed,” she said and put down the papers on the table. I grabbed it without a single glance at her but she remained standing with her eyes directed to me.
“Why are you still there, Miss Rivers?”
She smiled. Not the sweet kind of smile that Olivia always gave to me. Hers was a seductive one. The kind of smile she wore to a man whenever she wanted something. “Do you still need anything else, Bla—, Mr. Morgan?” This girl got the nerve. She was trying to call me by my name. I was trying to hold my thought about this girl because I didn’t want to poison my brain anymore further, but she pushed me. What a bitch.
I smirked lightly as I knew what she was intending to. I wished I could have Olivia here so she could see what Carol wanted to do to me and I wanted to see Olivia when she was jealous. I wondered if she would claw Carol’s eyeballs out and screamed to not touch me. I wanted to laugh at the thought but since Olivia was not here, I had to do everything alone because I knew, the bastard Secretary of mine was enjoying the scene in front of him. And he was not helping at all.
“I don’t need anything, Miss Rivers. Get back to work. John will brief you what you will be doing until your office hour is over while I’m on meeting and he’s going out of the office,” I said and I could see from the corner of my eyes that Carol had lost her smile but still maintained her eyes on me. “You’re dismissed,” I said coldly, and like she found the hint from my tone, she turned away and walked towards the door, silently.
I glanced at John and he was looking at me. He looked at his watch. “I think it’s time already,” I smirked and stood up, collecting my phone, and went to the door.
I stopped before I opened it. “If she has a heart, she will protect it. But if she only has the nerves, she would only poke the beast.” John laughed and walked towards me.
“I’ll see if your client has arrived.”

The meeting was over and after I shook hands with the people from Javier’s agency, I left them after I escorted them to the elevator.
John was right. I should have rescheduled the meeting because it was boring as hell. I thought I was going to sleep during the meeting. Basically, they were only introducing some potential models besides Javier. My answer remained the same.
I only wanted Javier to remain as the brand ambassador.
They thought by using the full-time model, they could collect more money rather than using Javier, the part-time one. I refused since Javier had the perfect image of the products and I didn’t want to change the image over some new and amateur models.
I went to my office, thinking Olivia should be here soon. John had gone thirty minutes ago to pick her up. When I was about to go inside my office, I saw Carol’s table was empty but her stuff was still there.
I inhaled and exhaled slowly. Thinking if I should teach her some manners but I was too lazy to do it. I refused to let my energy out just for her and I probably should talk to John about it.
I entered my office and found the despicable being inside. Her body turned to me immediately like she was caught doing something naughty over my desk. “You’re not allowed inside unless I told you so, Miss Rivers.”
She smiled. “I’m sorry about that.” She didn’t sound sorry at all. In fact, she was probably expecting this. Me capturing her in the act.
I walked to her without closing the door. “What are you doing?”
“I’ve made you coffee,” she pointed to the cup on top of my table. “I thought you might be tired after the meeting.”
I scoffed. “Are you trying to make me sober all night, Miss Rivers?” I mockingly asked. I had tasted the coffee she made for me before because John was busy and he asked her for help. It was supposed to be the easiest task for her but she screwed it up badly. I threw up. Her coffee was probably the most disgusting coffee I had ever tasted. She couldn’t even beat John, the guy, to make a simple coffee? What a laugh.
“Well, if I have to,” she said seductively. She licked her bottom lip slowly.
In my whole life, I had met different women. From a submissive one until the most whore above all. And to me, Carol was like the mix of a submissive, willingly, and desperate woman who acted like a whore so I would sleep with her.
Not to mention her current attire.
A black tank top with spaghetti straps and a black and white skirt with black stilettos.
I learned a lot since I opened this business. Women practically threw themselves to me and I used to take and threw them away anytime I wanted. I treated them like an object. No feeling. No remorse. Just nothing.
But not anymore. Not when I had my eyes on Olivia.
I stood quite far from her. “It’s past your office hour, Miss Rivers. And I don’t want to waste my money just because you’re working over an hour.”
“You’re right. Now is personal time.”
I smirked. “I know what are you playing at, lady.”
“I know you are. It doesn’t matter what my father wanted; I only want you.” Her body stood straight. She raised her hands to her shoulders, slowly lowering the straps, revealing her naked shoulders.
“You got balls.”
“No, Blake. I have the pussy you wanted to pound.”
I chuckled. Good lord. I never met a woman as desperate as she was. “Miss Rivers, I know you are beautiful and I know how you used it as your advantage to men but I should remind you to not…piss me off.” She lost her smile in an instant. Even if she was stupid, she knew immediately when I let out those words and with that threatening tone; that meant she almost crossed the line with me. And I would not tolerate it anymore.
“Give yourself some respect, Miss Rivers.” I walked to my table. “Get the fuck out of my office,” I told her and when I walked past her, she caught my arm and wrapped her arms around mine. What the fuck? I felt disgusted immediately. “Get off.”
“I know you want me, Blake.”
“In your fucking dreams, girl.”
“You’re just being shy and I know you’re interested in me since I came to your office. You’re being cold because you don’t your staff to find out that you’re in love with an intern.” Give me a fucking break.
I couldn’t believe she just said that. She was not just a whore; she was a deluded whore. She thought I was cold to her because I was in love with her? She was so damn wrong.
I was about to put her in place until she leaned forward and captured my lips with hers but I pushed her away immediately. Almost causing her to fall but even if she fell, I won’t apologize even helping her to stand. She brought this upon herself.
“Fucking hell!” I wiped my dirty lips. I should disinfect it immediately. I turned my attention on her again. “Get the fuck out of my building and never return here anymore. I’m done having you around my office, especially when I already know you can’t work at all. Just go home to your daddy and find other men to prey on.”
Her eyes were widened in surprise. It showed fear and that was relieving to me because she should feel that.
But I immediately felt the same as well when my eyes turned to the door. “Fuck,” I cursed softly.
Olivia was standing at the door with John beside her.
