The next moment, Gabrio looked in Allyce’s direction. Without waiting for Allyce to think, there was a bang and the car door opened.
Allyce withdrew her eyes and saw Severo enter the car with a short stance.
“Severo …”
Allyce made a conscious effort to call out to him, but before she could do so, Severo had already started the car.
He didn’t even put on his seatbelt, let alone turn his head to look at her, and the whole car was filled with an oppressive air.
Allyce had a strong feeling that Severo was not in a good mood, or even in a bad mood.
This was evident from the uncontrolled speed of the car.
Allyce could say no more due to the speed of the car.
The car soon stopped in front of the villa.
Allyce sat in the back, dazed and leaning back in her seat.
Severo got out of the car with a grim look on his face, walked around the back and opened the back door, pulling the stunned Allyce straight out.
His movements were not smooth at all, but even a little jerky, as he pulled Allyce hard and headed for the villa.
Allyce’s legs were shorter than his and she couldn’t keep up with him as fast as he could.
If it were normal, Severo would have become more comfortable with his slower pace.
But at the time, Severo was clearly in a state of rage, so he was not paying attention to this.
Allyce was almost dragged by him, and knowing it was useless to struggle, she stopped struggling and trotted after him, asking, “What’s the matter?
Severo had a sombre face and ignored her.
Allyce asked again patiently: “Severo, what’s wrong with you!
He walked faster and lifted Allyce onto his shoulders and, after a quick trip upstairs, threw her onto the bed.
The bed was soft enough that Allyce didn’t hurt herself in the fall, but her temper was thrown out.
He turned around and sat down, saying aloud to Severo: “What the hell is wrong with you!
Severo stood expressionless in front of the bed, his dark eyes staring at Allyce without moving, as if there was a bottomless vortex flowing beneath them, trying to suck people in.
Allyce’s eyes were like a cold, snowy place, and she shivered.
He didn’t speak or move, and Allyce didn’t dare make a move.
A moment passed and Severo’s sombre look loosened.
His chest rose and fell slightly, as if he was calming down, and tugging at his tie, he stared at Allyce and asked, “Why did you go to see him?”
It was not a question.
I did not intend to interrogate her, but to reprimand her.
As if, in his mind, without any plea or explanation from her, it was a mistake for her to go to Gabrio.
“He’s my friend, why shouldn’t I go and see him? Severo’s face was grim, and naturally Allyce could not smile.
Indeed, it had been an oversight on his part not to tell her about the business of going to see Gabrio.
But would Severo have let her go if he had known she was going to see Gabrio?
The answer is, of course, “no”.
But if Severo didn’t let her go, wouldn’t she go?
Again, this is not possible.
Whatever the misunderstanding between Severo and Gabrio, Gabrio was an important friend to her.
“Eh, a friend?”
The corners of Severo’s eyes tinged with derision and the corners of his lips curved slightly. “What kind of friend would come to travel ten hours by plane to see you?
“I was just passing by!”
Allyce didn’t like Severo’s look, it was hard and offensive.
Severo scoffed: “How could he possibly drop in?
Allyce felt a little neglected, but seeing Severo’s appearance, she couldn’t speak kindly to him.
He grimaced, “You don’t think there’s something between Gabrio and I? You’ve always thought Gabrio and I are not innocent, otherwise why not let me meet Gabrio, I’m so untrustworthy in your mind?”
She had only met with Gabrio, and Severo was so angry that he drove so fast, dragged her back and questioned her about it, regardless of her feelings.
There are issues between two people that need to be communicated.
Don’t blame her without saying anything as he did.
Besides, she did not feel guilty.
Severo’s voice was terrifyingly cold: “What else, do you really think Gabrio only thinks of you as a sister?
Under his eyes a storm was brewing, a tidal wave of emotions that was terrifying and difficult to understand.
For a moment, Allyce wanted to show weakness, regretting what she had said.
But he quickly pushed the shyness out of his heart.
I loved Severo, but when he was angry, I was also afraid of him.
“In the end, you just don’t trust me.” Allyce’s heart sank.
Severo suddenly fell silent.
A flash of hesitation passed under his eyes.
The next moment it was as if he realised something, a cruel smile shone under his eyes and his voice was sensual: “Let’s not talk about whether Gabrio has something else in mind for you or not, do you think he’s really as clean as he looks? He’s Grizzi’s man, the leader of the K7 team, the man who created the K1LU73 virus before”.
Allyce froze: ‘What do you mean?
I could understand everything Severo was saying separately, but when put together I could not.
Especially when it had to do with Gabrio, it was even harder to understand.
There was a bitter chill in Severo’s eyes: “That’s the truth, the K1LU73 virus, and he made Amado Mejía give it to me to take.
Almost immediately, Allyce shook her head and replied: “How is that possible?
It couldn’t be, Gabrio, she couldn’t know anyone better.
“K1LU73, “LU” is Gabrio’s surname, his birthday, it’s July 3rd, you know that, and …”
“You have to stop saying that!” Allyce cut him off for fear that he might say something else she couldn’t believe.
Severo’s eyes narrowed slightly, but his tone was urgent: “I ask you, do you choose me or do you choose him? You can only choose one.
“What do you mean by choosing you or him? There must be a misunderstanding …” Allyce’s face was slightly subdued as she murmured, in a soft voice.
Severo raised his lips slightly, his eyes became calm again, and he said in a light voice: “I will give you a day to digest this”.
He had never thought he would find himself in the position of bringing Gabrio’s affairs to light.
