Allyce stood by the door for a full minute, not seeing Severo look this way.
He had to reach out and knock on the door as a way of drawing Severo’s attention to his presence at the door.
Knock, knock!
A sharp knock sounded on the door and Severo finally turned his head to look in.
“Dinner?” Severo just looked at her and said the words before lowering his head again.
Allyce sniffed and walked over to him, “Well, the food is ready, you just came from the sanatorium, don’t be in such a hurry to work …”
She was really worried about her health, she wouldn’t necessarily be able to take it this way if she had to do it again.
Severo paid no attention to him, concentrated on his computer, after another moment, he looked up to see that Allyce was still following him and said with a slight frown, “Why don’t you go eat first?”
Allyce opened her mouth and was about to say something when Severo stood up and closed his laptop, looking a little helpless: “I have something to do, so go eat first.
With that, he walked around his desk to Allyce and led her downstairs.
The depression in Allyce’s heart dissipated immediately.
Although at first his tone sounded as if he was annoyed that I was still here, he really just wanted me not to wait.

During this time, Allyce did not eat or sleep well, and was afraid every day.
At first he feared he would not find the antidote, then he feared Severo would not wake up.
Now Severo is finally healthy again.
Allyce ate and felt her appetite increase as soon as she sat down at the table.
Severo, who was sitting across from her, took a single bite of his plate before speaking: “Did you do it?
“Mmm .” Allyce looked up at him, and her gaze lit up.
Severo could taste that she had done this.
At Allyce’s affirmative response, the corners of Severo’s lips lifted slightly and a smile tugged at his brow: “It’s delicious.
Allyce sniffed and couldn’t help but smile.
It was amazing to think that just over two years ago, I wasn’t even very good at washing dishes, but now I couldn’t be difficult with even the average home-cooked meal.
It was nice to eat together at home, but without Alonzo at home, Allyce felt something was missing.
With that in mind, Allyce said, “Let’s go look for Alonzo after dinner, I haven’t seen him for days”.
She expected Severo to say yes without hesitation, but instead Severo simply said: “It’s only been five days.
When Allyce saw how carefree he seemed, she couldn’t help but mutter in her mind that these five days had been like years for her.
Severo saw her crestfallen, rummaging in her rice bowl, thinking she was unhappy, and said, “I’ll pick it up tomorrow, rest well today”.
He saw the tiredness under Allyce’s eyes and knew she hadn’t slept well in the last few days.
Allyce really missed Alonzo, but had to nod when Severo said so.

In the afternoon, Allyce went to her room, took a shower and got into bed to sleep through the night.
She had been woken up by Severo.
In her daze, she felt someone press against her, leaving her slightly breathless.
She opened her eyes in a daze, right into Severo’s dark eyes with dancing flames.
“Severo …”
She didn’t even get to say his full name before she was interrupted by Severo’s movements.
He was then unable to say a complete sentence.
Until he finished, he lazily leaned back in Severo’s arms and nudged him, “You’re hot, get over there”.
Severo: “But you’re cold”.
With that, he put his arms around Allyce again.
Allyce resigned herself to closing her eyes and playing dead.
Allyce went to bed late tonight, but strangely woke up the next morning in a good mood.
“What’s on your mind, why that look?” Severo’s voice came from behind her without warning.
Allyce was startled and as soon as she turned her head, she bumped into Severo’s chin.
Severo was standing behind her, tilting his head to look at her, but he was much taller than she was and Allyce turned her head in fright and bumped into Severo’s chin.
Severo hissed coldly: “You’re going to kill your own husband?
Allyce swallowed the words “Does it hurt?” and reached out to clench her jaw, but did not force it for fear of pain, saying with discontent: “If I wanted to kill you, I wouldn’t have to do it this way.
Severo wrapped his arm around her slender waist, a smile in his voice, “Well, yes …”.
Allyce understood and reached out to block Severo’s new moves: “It’s getting late, you promised me that you would pick up Alonzo today, you have to stop.
Severo’s hand was caught by Allyce and he looked at her with distaste and a rare gangster air in his tone, “You mean I should stop? Is that possible?”
Allyce looked at him dumbfounded, could he be reasonable?
And Severo told her truthfully that it was impossible for him to reason with her.
An hour later, Allyce sat up in bed with no expression on her face and let Severo dress her.
Severo was in a good mood, with a smile spreading across his forehead.
