Blake
I was in the office.
My mind was currently out of my head.
My nightmare had turned into a reality.
Olivia and Javier had become lovers. What the fuck is going on?
Did Olivia truly love him? They just met. How could love bloomed between them that fast? Well, I couldn’t judge them because I was attracted to her since the day she was born. Since she was practically a day-old baby. If I had to be honest, I was the crazier one than them.
Was she trying to run away from me? Yeah, I thought that was her idea. She couldn’t get rid of the feeling she had towards me so she ran away to Javier. She wanted to escape from my trap. Olivia’s feeling towards me was so strong and it scared the hell out of her. Call me overconfident but I knew how she felt about me.
I pitied the poor guy if that was true. I knew Olivia. I had been living with the girl for five years before and I knew her inside out. Literally, inside out. She was scared to death if she could hurt people and she always ended up getting hurt. Just like how I hurt her. She could reject Javier because she was scared to hurt him, yet she chose to play the devil’s card by being his girlfriend.
I couldn’t understand that and it fucking pissed me off.
“Boss, you’re alright?” John called out and I looked at him.
“What?”
“I ask if you’re alright,” he repeated the question.
I scoffed. “Do I look fucking alright?”
He smirked. “No, you’re not.”
“If you know, why the hell you bothered yourself to ask me?”
“Because it’s fun teasing and torturing your poor heart.” The fucking nerve!
“What is it, John? Does a certain someone got into your nerves?”
“A little bit.” He drank his coffee with his eyes fixed on the laptop. I asked him to work in my office since I need a friend to talk to. Although in the end, John could play around, he was the closest person I had as a friend. “But it’s nothing compared to the garbage you’ve sent me,” he added. I knew what, or should I say, who he was talking about. “I can’t believe you hired an intern and on top of that, you hired the spoiled woman I have ever met,” he said while glaring his blue eyes at me.
“I refused before but the father was just the stubborn as his kid. I told him before she could have work with him but he said she couldn’t. The staff all scared with her.”
“Well, he should have sent her to the boarding school to teach her some manners,” John rudely said. I agreed though since I knew what John had done.
“You’ve made her cry twice, John. Twice.”
“That’s because she had nobody to tell her to fucking behave so I acted like a cruel stepmother and told her that I fucked hated it when she did a mistake. Even dogs could do better.” I laughed darkly at his statement. I knew how John worked. He was so perfectionist at…everything, literally. Sometimes he was just like me. Maybe we could tolerate a simple mistake, but not when they did it again and again and again. Unfortunately for this girl…she repeated it over and over and it pissed John off. “She even told me she would tell her father about this and I dared her to do it.” He laughed informing the little threat that the girl had given him.
“Just so you know, I was the one who had to clear out your fucking mess,” I reminded him. Yes, that girl did. The next day right after she started working in my building.
“What did you tell him?”
“I told him how I trust you to handle his daughter and when you’ve reached your breaking point, that only means one thing. His daughter has pissed you off.”
“Why, thank you, sir. Although actually, I could do it myself, and if I have to face her father in the future, I’ll be ready.” I knew he would. John was not scared of anything. I still remembered when I gave that brat to him and even though John looked calm and welcoming as usual, he was not. He gave me the look of I’m-going-to-fucking-kill-you that time. But I chose to ignore it. Payback for teasing me.
“You know what? Enough talking about that garbage. Are you sure you’re alright? You look like you’re going to murder someone so I have to forbid everyone to see you since morning.” And my mood was ruined again. I remembered again.
“I went to Black Onyx yesterday to buy new suits for the party and I saw something I hate to see.” John looked at me confusingly. “I saw Olivia and Javier together and they are officially a couple now.” He looked surprised at the information I just gave out.
“How do you know that?”
“Javier told me and Olivia doesn’t show any sign of hiding it.” The image of Javier holding her hand came across in my mind. I fucking hated it. How dare he touched her hand!
“Well, she’s must be desperate. Thanks to your mess.”
“I fucking know that.”
“What are you going to do? You can’t exactly openly flirt with her and Olivia has clearly given you the threat to stay the fuck away from me. Especially on how you two are trapped in this family thing.”
“I’m working on it,” I said as John eyes me suspiciously. I hadn’t told him yet but he had suspected it.
“Did you do it?”
“I’m thinking about it but I haven’t done it. If I have, you will be the first person who knows about it.”
“Well, maybe that’s for the best but you need to think about it when your head is clear.”
“I will just don’t tell anyone about it.” I knew he would not. John might love to tease me but he always had my back. Not just as a secretary and my bodyguard, but as a friend. “So, are you going to bring Karen to the party next week?”
“Fuck you, mate. I wanted to but she would be confused about what she was going to say to her best friend if they meet at the party.”
“She could tell that every model from the agency who works with me could join,” I suggested to him but he smirked at me.
“Did you forget that the models from the agency don’t receive the invitation like Javier does? It will be weird if she suddenly turns up, especially when she’s going to meet the Director there. Just stop asking for the impossible. I don’t want to ruin her dream because of my ego.” He had the point. I could see how John favored the girl so much. He might not show it openly, but I could tell he loved her. And Karen as well.
In short, John could probably bring Karen over and he had a date.
Javier would come with Olivia and he had a date as well.
Living me…alone. Like usual. I never brought someone on this kind of occasion. I was never bothered by it. But this time…maybe I should tease that woman a bit. Although I hated the idea, I had to try. I had to bet on it. Everything for the woman I wanted for a long time.
“John?” He glanced his eyes at me. “Ask that intern of yours if she’s free on Friday next week.”

Olivia
The day had arrived.
Blake’s party would be held tonight, in his building. Javier had kindly bought me a dress and I loved it.
I was excited and nervous at the same time. Excited because I was going to attend a party with Javier and nervous because I could meet Blake there. He might be the host of the party, but I could still see and meet him face to face. I was hoping I could bring Karen as well but the party was based on an invitation and I couldn’t ask Javier to ask for one more invitation just for Karen.
After all, Javier was just a guest, not the host.
I hope nothing bad would happen tonight.
Since we would attend a party, we didn’t have any training to do today and Javier had a photo shoot since the morning as well. For tonight’s party, I wore the dress from Javier. A long creamy white dress. I fell in love with it the first moment I looked at it. And as Javier could sense it, he bought the dress for me. It suited me perfectly.
I curled up the tip of my hair and wore powder, mascara, and pink lipstick. I wore my light pink Gucci heels and the same color handbag. I looked at the mirror. Man, I look nervous. “Everything is going to be alright, Olivia,” I said to my reflection and I pushed my phone inside the clutch, looking at my reflection once again. Inhaling and exhaling two times and then walked out of the bedroom.
As I was on my way downstairs, I could hear voices. The more I walked down, I saw Javier was in the dining room talking with my parents. Cindy saw me first as Javier followed her eyes. His look was telling me that he was amazed by how I looked and I went downstairs to him.
“Oh, my God. You look so beautiful, Olivia,” Cindy complimented. I saw my dad was speechless as usual. Javier stood up, walking closer to me, and he took my hand. Gently placing a kiss on top of it.
“You’re stunning, Olivia.” I smiled nervously at his compliment. “Well then, we’ll be going then, Mr. Graham, Mrs. Graham. I promise I’ll take her home safely.”
“Bye, Dad, Cindy.”
“Have fun, dear,” Cindy said.
“Ten o’clock maximum,” dad reminded as Javier and I walked out of the house together. Heading to his car and after he made sure I was inside his car, he circled the car and slid himself behind the wheel.
“God, I couldn’t take my eyes away from you,” he said while turning on the engine. “You look so beautiful in that dress.”
I chuckled. “Don’t do that or you’re not going to keep your promise you’ve made to my parents. You don’t want to face my father’s wrath when you take me home.” He laughed at my joke.
“I’ll be by your side for the entire time, baby.”
I knew he would.
