Allyce had sent Senona to his flat and she did not accompany him.
Just as he arrived home, Severo’s call came.
Severo’s voice was a little low: “You didn’t call me”.
“Something came up and I was just about to call you.” Allyce spoke into the phone as she walked towards the stairs.
Halfway down the stairs, he heard the voice of a girl talking outside.
The bodyguard Xabat had arranged to send her home had stayed behind, so she was also the only woman in the house.
So, outside, who was it?
Allyce stood up: “Hold on, someone’s coming, I’m going to check, I’ll hang up now”.
Then he thought of something and added: “There’s a bodyguard inside”.
Immediately afterwards, he hung up the phone.
She came out and a bodyguard called out to her: “Ma’am”.
“Hmm.
Allyce replied and continued walking outside.
Then he saw a very young girl standing in the doorway with a small child, explaining something to the doorman.
The girl turned her head and, seeing Allyce, her light eyes curved up and she smiled, “Hello!
A flash of suspicion crossed Allyce’s heart: “You wanted to see me?
“Hi, I’m new here, I live a bit further down, there are very few people living here, I saw you come back earlier, so I came to say hello.”
She said, extending her hand to Allyce: “Hi, I’m Delfina Natividad.
“Hi, I’m Allyce,” smiled Allyce and extended her hand to Delfina.
How did a neighbour suddenly move in?
As if suddenly remembering something, Delfina let go of Allyce’s hand before squatting down, holding the little boy next to her by the shoulders and pointing to Allyce, “Alonzo, this is Auntie”.
The child seemed small, barely above Allyce’s knee.
His skin was white and he looked a little willowy, but his dark eyes were so bright and terrifying that they were incredibly soft to look into.
Allyce knelt down, smiled at the little boy and asked Delfina, “Your son?
He reached out to touch the little boy, who took two hasty steps back.
The smile on Allyce’s face faltered.
Delfina said with an apologetic look: “He’s a bit scared.
“It’s OK.” Allyce shook her head.
“Tia, I want to go to …,” the boy suddenly said, pulling himself out of Delfina’s yard, his eyes looking towards a small fountain not far from the yard, indicating that he wanted to go and play.
Delfina smiled knowingly and stroked his head: “Go ahead.
The boy then turned to her.
Allyce, who had never been around children before, found it interesting to watch his small but steady walk and couldn’t help but keep her eyes on him.
Apparently sensing that someone was watching him, the boy turned his head to look at Allyce.
Allyce shuddered slightly.
Seeing the little boy walk away, Delfina just continued talking to Allyce: “This is my brother’s son, his name is Alonzo Natividad, he was born prematurely, his health is not very good, my brother is busy at work, he grew up with me, and he doesn’t like to play with other children, his character is a bit withdrawn”.
Allyce nodded, “Very cute, how old is he?”
“One and a half years.
…
Alonzo never called Allyce “aunt” until Delfina took Alonzo away.
Allyce watched as Alonzo took Delfina’s hand and walked out the door with small steps, and a sense of loss rose in her heart.
Only when the two disappeared did Allyce shake her head and turn to go inside.
One and a half year old …
Allyce’s eyes bugged out.
…
Allyce didn’t sleep very well because Severo wasn’t there.
Dazed, she heard her mobile phone ring.
He got up and rang the phone: “Hello?
Senona’s voice was slightly shaky and deliberately low, which made her voice change pitch, “Allyce, help me, Enzo is here again, he’s right outside the door!”
Allyce’s heart fluttered and he sobered immediately, “Wait for me!”
Enzo was trying to reach Senona in any way he could.
She couldn’t understand how a man could really do that to a woman who had loved him so much. Besides, Senona had never done anything bad to Enzo.
Allyce hurried down the stairs, called her bodyguard and headed for the flat.
Allyce was in the front row and, as soon as she reached the door, she found the flat door wide open and the sound of banging and smashing inside.
“Senona!” said Allyce as she hurried inside.
As they entered, the people inside looked towards the door.
Allyce’s gaze passed over the sulky Enzo and settled squarely on Senona, who was cowering in a corner.
Senona was clutching her stomach, still in her pyjamas, her hair was dishevelled on top of her head and there were fish-red bruises on her exposed arm.
Allyce frowned slightly: “How are you?
Enzo snapped out of his surprise and took a deep breath: “Allyce, what I do with her is none of your business!
“Shut up!”
Allyce gave Enzo a cold, sweeping look before walking over and helping Senona to her feet.
Seeing this, Enzo was about to step forward, but was stopped by the bodyguard Allyce had brought along.
Enzo’s face turned ugly and his tone sank: “Allyce, what are you trying to do?
“What are you trying to do here again?”
Allyce sneered at Enzo, “Do you really think there’s no one left in the Delahoz family? Your Aybar family no longer has anyone in charge, the Delahoz family still has Casimiro!”
“This is between me and Senona, the two couples!”
“Those hooligans you hired are still in custody, what else do you want to do?
Enzo blushed, unable to speak.
Although his conscience was clear, he still felt ashamed that others knew what he had done.
Senona, who had been silent, spoke up at that moment: “Enzo, I’ll see you in court!
“What do you mean?” Enzo’s eyes narrowed slightly, then quickly softened, “Senona, don’t get confused, I was just angry, I really didn’t want you to ….”
“That’s enough! I don’t want to hear you talk any more, do you really think you’re so special and so big? Before it was because I loved you and it hurt me so much when you lost a hair, but do you think I’m still going to love you after what you’ve done? I’m telling you, no way.
Senona’s tone was full of determination.
Enzo’s face paled, “What did you say …?”
“Wait!” Senona scoffed: “Do you really think I don’t know anything about you?
Allyce snorted and looked at Senona, only seeing the imperative in her eyes.
He suddenly felt that Senona must already have a plan in mind.
