Chapter 274 The Transmitter

She was in an empty large room. It seemed a basement somewhere.
The temperature was constant and there was cold wind everywhere.
Pearl exerted herself to raise her head and saw the man in black not far from her.
The man in black opened an iron box, and then, pulled out a corpse from it.
When it was opened, Pearl was surrounded by cold air and could not help but shiver again. Were she and the man in black the only two living people in this basement?
“For now, you are right. It’s just for now.”
Randy smiled, looking very wicked.
Jovanny was too stupid and had exposed the matter, so Randy handled this himself. He crushed Pearl’s psychological defense bit by bit to achieve his goal.
“What do you mean?”
Pearl’s voice trembled, even though she did not want to admit it, she was really scared.
“When you are useless, I’ll be the only living person left.”
After Randy finished speaking, he turned around to let Pearl see the corpse.
The body was unrecognizable, frozen, and covered with a ghoulish white frost. It looked very creepy.
From the look, it should be clear that this person was infected with a virus, and skin eventually festered. Then this person died.
“To deal with the bodies of the infected, either burn to ashes or freeze, or you can’t eliminate the RS virus.”
The RS virus was tenacious, the most aggressive, hardiest virus ever discovered.
After Randy finished speaking, he carefully observed Pearl’s expression. He could basically conclude his speculation.
There were still four hours left before the laboratory’s antibodies test.
“Why are you staring at me?”
His eyes were so cold that Pearl shivered. She tried to test the man in black, but nothing came out, but she got bad news.
“Nothing. I’ll come back four hours later.”
Randy said, pushing the body over to Pearl. As soon as she turned her head, she could see that unrecognizable face.
“Hey, take it away!”
Pearl shouted for a long time, only to see the back of the black man left. She turned her head and felt sick.
It was the first time she’d seen such a weird kidnapper, and it was basically what she thought, something to do with the RS virus.
Pearl closed her eyes and felt a cold gaze on her, but there was no one in the basement.
What the hell!
She was too stupid, but in a way, it was good that the man in black took her, not Jane.
About half an hour later, Pearl found that she could move.
She sat up and got off the bed, far away from the dead body next to her.
Several large iron doors in the basement had been locked, and there was no way to find the exit.
Pearl lowered her head dejectedly. This time, she would die for sure.
By the time they found out what her value was, she would be a guinea pig, with no idea if she would ever get out.
She did not care about herself, but the child in her abdomen.
In the past, she did not understand Jane, who had said that the feeling of being a mother was especially different.
She felt soft inside as she touched her abdomen. It was her and Robert’s baby.
There was a test stand in the basement, filled with colorful liquids without labels that Pearl couldn’t read or touch.
To stay away from the corpse, she sat against the iron gate and suddenly found the brooch on her chest.
Yes, she had the brooch!
Pearl wasn’t sure if there was a camera, but she guessed there was. After touching the brooch, she showed no emotion, especially not the slightest exultation.
There was the brooch, there was hope!
The brooch was something she and Robert had made to sneak into the Cart family’s casino. With a press of the brooch, it was a transmitter that could receive the address she was at!
Thanks to her going undercover in the first place, thanks to Jolene’s designs, and thanks to her liking Jane’s jewelry.
So, instead of other brands, Pearl chose the Only One.
They kidnapped her but didn’t notice this.
It was really great!
It was the fortune in the misfortune. Pearl covered her face and cried for a while, casually pressing the transmitter while crying.
In the president’s office of the Duncan Group, the equipment on William’s table called the police.
When Frederic came closer to take a look, his expression changed greatly and he called William who was on the phone.
“This is the GPS of the transmitter. It called the police!”
With that, Frederic immediately plugged in the computer and checked the location.
“Is this Pearl’s transmitter?”
William hung up the phone and worked on the computer. The location displayed was the Pine Forest.
The Pine Forest was very large, but there was only one abandoned factory around, which was where Jane had been kidnapped.
“Frederic, I’ll leave the rest of the meeting to you. I’ll go out.”
Peral was kidnapped by a member of the Underground Network, so there could be a hiding place for the Underground Network. William had to contact the organization. To rescue Pearl, he needed equipment.
Before this, afraid that Jane would be too impulsive, William called her, indicating that he would do his best to save her.
“I know. I can’t help now. Instead, I’ll be a burden.”
Jane smiled bitterly. She was indeed willing but unable to do so.
William put himself in danger, and she was worried and repeatedly reminded William to be careful.
At four in the afternoon, it was not so bright.
There would be thundershowers today, with clouds rolling in the distance and heavy rain coming.
It was not safe to go to the Pine Forest on rainy days, especially during thunderstorms, when lightning often struck trees there.
That was why this area was deserted.
Pearl had been tied up and kept unconscious. When she opened her eyes, she found that she had been thrown into the basement. She might even be in a morgue.
Time passed, and her mind was in chaos.
Pearl was worried about home for a while, worried about parents for a while, and thinking of Robert for a while. She was crying and laughing.
Jovanny kept staring at Pearl through the surveillance camera, afraid that she would do something abnormal.
“Mr. Randy, I think this woman is crazy.”
She was crying, laughing, and talking to herself, which was similar to the patients in the psychiatric hospital.
They had been there before. Julia was sent in by Keith. When she smiled, her mouth was full of saliva, looking disgusting.
“Is that so?”
Randy frowned and stared at the monitor. He found that Pearl was singing.
Could it be this woman knew she would be killed? Anyway, when they extracted the antibodies, they must kill Pearl.
They could only succeed if they mastered the antibody technology and destroyed the potion the Duncan Group had.
Randy knew how terrifying the Underground Network was.
He was nurtured by the Underground Network, where people from different countries were grouped and made to eat and live together and have a very happy time.
In the beginning, they were taken in, and their companions were cute, and each of them was friendly.
At that time, he had just lost his parents. Randy was immersed in grief. It was those people who helped him recover.
In this life, it didn’t matter who left, because life went on.
The good times were short, and finally, everyone had his order. Randy’s order was to kill his best friend, Anthony Cooper.
