Tired of all that happened that day, Rhezi leaned her back on the soft sofa. It gave her a bit of ease somehow. She looked up and massaged her forehead with her eyes closed. She was dead tired and drained from all the things that happened to her the whole day. Aside from that, she was hungry too.
She took off the blue blazer and threw it somewhere. She felt like without enough strength even just to pick her cellphone on top of the sofa and check on it. It was past eight in the evening. She was not surprised though why she barely had the strength to move.
After the trial she had another meeting with a client. A politician who wants to divorce his wife. It was a two hours conversation and explaining. She was tired of it but seeing Kraius was more tiring.
Her lips instantly flashed a genuine smile as she felt someone was removing her heels. Rhezi immediately opened her eyes and looked at it.
“Hi!” Rhezi greeted. “How was your day?” she added.
The small brown eyed lad lifted his head and looked at Rhezi directly. His eyes were beaming with happiness. His lips formed a beautiful smile that instantly washed away Rhezi’s pain and worry.
“Zein!” (ok!) the little lad answered back.
Rhezi pouted and shook her head. A wide smile crept on her lips even more. She was overwhelmed by the sight in front of her. He was so beautiful. An addiction that she would always endure.
His white skin. His long and pointed nose. His almond shaped eyes and his thick eyebrows. It was a painting of someone Rhezi loved from the past. But, more innocent and beautiful. For her, it was something that she couldn’t ask for more.
Especially when he was multiplied by three and was currently looking at her intently.
“Come on! Don’t look at Momma like that, boys! ”
” Daddy! ” Rhezi shifted her gaze and raised her eyebrow. Seeing Jericho in his usual polo shirt and jeans while hugging her babies was still unbelievable for her. Who would have thought that the guy she hated the most would help her in the past years of her life? Rhezi did not even imagine that she would be with the man for a long time.
“Hi, Momma!” Jericho greeted Rhezi.
Rhezi rolled her eyes at him. She made sure that her children did not saw it. She also glared at the man as he walked closer to her. He was smirking and obviously teasing her. Rhezi just sighed when he stopped in front of her and stretched closer to her ear.
“I saw someone handsome awhile ago. Oh my gosh! It’s like I want to have a sex change right away, ” Jericho shared to Rhezi with so much thrilled.
“Restrain your mouth and my children might hear you.” Rhezi replied firmly and glanced at her three children who were just behind Jericho.
“I’m sorry Momma,” he said delicately and even pretended to seal his mouth.
Rhezi shook her head and smiled slightly. She also pushed Jericho slightly. ‘Til this day, Rhezi still couldn’t believe that he is bisexual. He admitted it to her when he saw Cristiano Ronaldo in person in Brazil because of a Soccer tournament. They were on a vacation with her children and she was really taken aback by what he had admitted to her that day. However, his demeanor and dress are still masculine for fear of being beaten up by the public, especially by his own family.
“Kids! Did Momma eat already? ” Jericho turned to the three children behind him.
One by one they shook their heads and looked at Rhezi who was also staring at them.
“Momma, what do you want to eat?” Roscoe asked Rhezi, one of the three children of her.
“I’m tired, baby. Momma wanted a hug instead, ” Rhezi replied, sweetly. She smiled at them and widened her arm. Each of them slowly approached her side. They hugged her tight and kissed her cheek. All of her tiredness disappeared especially when her children showed affection and her being affectionate to them.
It had been ten years since she left and flew to Dubai. Ten years of hiding and living alone in the land that she wasn’t familiar with. Ten years of struggling and striving in her career. Her children were also ten years old. She has also been hiding them from their real father for ten years. She may sound selfish but she wouldn’t allow her children to be part of him. Her feelings were already dead a long time ago and she already buried it six feet under. It’s enough that once in her life she had truly loved but was only deceived and hurt extremely.
“Dada, bring me water. Please, ” Rhezi muttered to Jericho who was sitting on the opposite sofa.
“Cute,” he whispered softly, taunting Rhezi then rolled his eyes at her.
Rhezi laughed softly at what he did. However, the latter still stood up and went to the kitchen of their house. Bailey mansion was owned by Jericho. It’s just close to South Ridge Village and Forbes. It was grand and a modern European style. It has two storeys and is almost made of glass. The interior and exterior are grandiose in a mixture of green and lightly white. While the marbled floor was made of Jade stone.
The house screamed luxury. Being a restaurant magnate, Jericho managed to offer her abundance as well as for her kids. Rhezi also didn’t fully expect that when she was out of sanity and frustrated with her situation, he would help her. She was in despair and broken and he helped her while her kids fixed her from being broken.
After dinner Rhezi decided to take her children to their room. As usual, it was messy again because of the toys scattered around the room. Even their PS4s were just left on the floor. She did a face palmed gesture and frowned at them. Boys will always be boys, as others would always say.
It was a typical boys room. It has a Superman theme and there are three beds inside that are larger than average. The interior of the room is blue while the personalized LED lights on the ceiling are Superman’s initial S which is also red. The floor was carpeted and wider than her room. It was the biggest room in the entire house because Jericho wanted it to be. He spoiled her kids so much and gave everything to them like they were his. Something that she is always grateful for but sometimes hates, too.
“Boys keep in mind that you need to tidy your things. After playing, you should clean it up. Momma doesn’t like what she’s seeing, ” Rhezi’s voice was accompanied with a bit of annoyance.
“Sorry Momma!” Rhezi’s children replied to her simultaneous. They immediately ran and quickly cleaned up the mess. Rhezi just smiled when she saw her children had thrown their toys anywhere. Then they ran to her again and hugged her.
“Momma, will Mamala visit us?” Tres asked. He was looking at her and there was hope in his eyes. The same eyes that made her drown and insane when she was young.
“We’re excited!” Dos screamed and gave a high five to his brothers. Rhezi sighed heavily and shook her head. She didn’t know how to tell her kids that their grandparents didn’t even know their existence. She ran away ten years ago and blocked all possible ways to find her. She made sure of it. Jericho made sure of it too that she agreed on marrying him a year ago.
She wasn’t Lagdameo anymore. She wasn’t the same vulnerable girl like before. The old fat Rhezi was gone. She was now an attorney and gained her degree in Harvard at twenty-five. Took her Masters at University of Toronto at twenty-seven. And a proud mom of three handsome boys.
Gone was the old self and naive version of her. Because she was now Mrs. Rhezaliza Bailey.
