Shirley Hunt expressed her displeasure and said, “But I haven’t yet seen him. Maybe it’s just that he thinks he is not handsome and don’t want to show up.”
“Will you accept him if he truly doesn’t look good, but he especially likes you?” I asked, smiling.
Shirley Hunt smiled nervously and nodded, “Of course, if he really likes me, I will, but he won’t come out.”
“Do you think I should leave him a note, Sister Irene? Just say, “I’d want to meet him.”” Shirley Hunt finished and sighed, “No, this is too rude , or wait, he will definitely be caught by us.”
Ryan Campbell’s point of view
I returned to the office after a meeting, grabbed up my phone, and dialed her number while receiving the paperwork given over by Jeffrey Scott in the rear.
When Jeffrey Scott saw me on the phone, he did not report the situation, instead standing by and waiting.
The phone rang for two seconds, and she answered it. “I’m standing at the front entrance. Where did you park your car?”
“There is a temporary case. You can call the taxi to come to me and go back to the old house for dinner tonight.”
She remained silent and responded, “So, how much time do you have? I walked there and do some shopping on the way.”
“Be cautious when crossing the street, I will be there nearly half an hour.” Given that her school is only a few minutes away from my workplace, let her walk, yet I am a little worried.
I’m not sure why I’m so concerned about her; I think it’s because she constantly gives me a feeling that she needs to be cared.
The viewpoint of Irene Nadine
Today’s weather is pleasant. The sun hasn’t completely set yet. I hung up the phone and went to the store to get some fruits and pastries. I can’t go back empty-handed, regardless of whether they like it or not. Ryan Campbell is so busy that he doesn’t have time to deal with these issues.
When He got at his office, my assistant informed me that Ryan Campbell was still talking with Jeffrey Scott, so I didn’t go in and instead waited outside in the rest area.
He is very punctual,. Soon after, he emerged from the office, walked up to me, lowered his head, and asked, “Why don’t you come in?”
“Loo, you’re busy,” I said as I rose up.
Ryan Campbell smiled as he looked at the items I had set aside. “Did you buy it?”
“Hmm.”
“More and more rational.”
“I’m afraid you didn’t purchase it. When your parents return home, what should they do? You must reimburse me for this sum of $150.”
Ryan Campbell reached out and grabbed my hand straight in front of him, leaned down to pick up what I bought, moved directly towards the elevator door, and said, “Why do you spend so much money? Aren’t you tired of lugging that around?”
I didn’t say anything, just waited for the elevator door to close before reaching out my hand.
It’s not the first time I’ve had to deal with him alone in such a little place, but this time he didn’t do anything, but my heart rate increased.
Emotions are spiraling out of control in front of him.
Ryan Campbell escorted me to the side of the car in the underground parking area with rather weak lighting and immediately opened the co-pilot seat to let me sit in. I was distracted and didn’t give a damn. The car was on the road, and when I touched my naked palm, I suddely creid, “I left the ring at home.”
Ryan Campbell cast a sidelong glance at my hand. I accepted the ring but didn’t wear it until the last family meeting. He hasn’t seen me in it since then.
“It’s okay to wear it at ordinary times,” he replied as he turned around and walked back home.
“I will not,” I murmured.
He looked down at his hand on the steering wheel as he talked, and the ring on his ring finger appeared to have never been removed.
When I caught a glimpse of his reflection in the window, the car came to a halt at the door. “Where do you put the ring?” he asked as he picked up the car keys.
“In my room, in the cabinet to the right of the dresser.”
“Wait for me in the car,” he added as he opened the door.
Worring me racing up and down the stairs, he did this small favor for me.
Irene Nadine’s pov
I don’t seem to see anything I’m worried about in Ryan Campbell. There is no chaotic private life, and he is always patient with me. Although we don’t love each other so much, what he has done for me is enough to make others envy, and even my own heart is moved.
Can I really trust him and stay with him all the time for the sake of the child?
Turn this contracted marriage into true love…
Although this idea appeared in my heart, I didn’t have the courage to implement it. Looking at him walking out from the building, I stared at this man through the window.
I didn’t look away until he got to the door, pretending to look at him casually.
He walked into the car, directly buckled the ring on my hand, started the car, and said to me: “Don’t take it off in the future. Is it troublesome?”
I deliberately looked out of the window and replied, “No trouble.”
I enjoy being indulged by Ryan Campbell. No matter how angry I am, he won’t really quarrel with me.
Maybe this is the advantage of a man who is elder than me? better at taking care of people?
Anyway, at Jimmy Davis’s, I never enjoyed this, but I was more tolerant of him.
The car was driving smoothly, and I was still in a daze. I arrived at the door of the house.
This time, there were not as many people as at the last big family gathering, and many younger generations didn’t come. Only Shawn Campbell and Sean Campbell were seen in the restaurant. These two brothers are probably close , and always present at the family gathering. There are still many students studying abroad, so they can’t come back often.
“Enjoy it.” Before I ate two mouthfuls of rice in my bowl, Shawn Campbell, opposite, put down his chopsticks and got off the table.
His mother hurriedly said, “Shawn, why are you eating so litttle? Is there something wrong?”
Shawn Campbell just said he’s okk and walked out of the restaurant without looking back.
But Sean Campbell, his own brother, said: “Dying man, affect my appetite!”
“What did you say?!” Their mother obviously was more prone about Shawn Campbell, perhaps because he was in poor health.
