Chapter 55

Book:Billionaire's Sweet Wife Published:2024-5-1

I stood guard, fearful that he would become enraged. “I’m not going.”
Ryan Campbell sipped his tea and asked, “Have you ever considered life after the baby is born?”
I am mute;  I have been thinking about it every day, and it is this topic that has bothered me.
He didn’t keep talking as if he was waiting for my response. Following my meditation, I also stated, “If you don’t want it… I can raise it myself.”
“I must have the child follow me. I will not demand if you insist leaving us .”
I didn’t say anything. I could have been able to leave himwhen I first married, because I always had such psychological preparedness. However, the baby is staying in my womb for longer, and I can feel the changes in my body day by day. I’m always daydreaming about what my baby will look like after he is born. Both boys and girls must be adorable.
It’s my first child. I have it in my belly for ten months, I can’t leave him so easily.
But what else am I able to do? Stay with him and live with him, as he mentioned? I don’t have the courage, and I’m not sure how long his compassion to me will remain.
What I really want is to be able to leave with my children and spend the rest of my life with him. If I can find a man who does not dislike me and is kind to me and my kid, I will remarry and have a regular life.
With the mismatch in my identity, the distance in my upbringing, and my doubts of Ryan Campbell, I can’t readily believe in love, and I won’t easily commit my heart into this relationship .
Ryan Campbell’s point of view
I can’t tell what’s going on in her head when she doesn’t say anything. Anyway, when she is by my side, I will give her the most love. If she persists on leaving once the baby is born, I’m not going to stop her.
Perhaps she is the one I love, but whom she loves is not me.
When I noticed her melancholy expression, I sprang up and shifted the subject, saying, “Come to the kitchen and help me wash the veggies.”
In reality, I’ve been wanting to talk to her about these topics for a long time, but I’m scared  it would upset her mood. Pregnant women are prone to depression,.
Maybe she figured it out after a long time. What I can do is give her enough time to consider patiently and try to make her rely on me during this period so that she can’t live without me naturally.
The viewpoint of Irene Nadine
I’m simply forgetful when cleaning veggies, and I have no idea what the guy is thinking.
I expected him to return from a long business trip, and I expected the atmosphere to be pleasant, but I didn’t anticipate it to be so frigid.
“I’ll start teaching you to cook today. You will cook on your own if I am not present. .” He abruptly said , “I simply remained silent and did not object.” I stood obediently next to him after washing the dishes.
I originally didn”t want to learn at the beginning. Because if I have leant , I have to cook the rest of life for him.
I abruptly thought it through. I  didn’t intend to spend the rest of her life with him. If I truly did leave, I’d be able to take care of myself after she learnt to cook.
In the evening, he tutored me, learned about my recent examinations, and talked about my studies, so I gradually forgot about the argument at dinner and casually informed him about my studies.
Life resumed its normal course the next day. Finally, Ryan Campbell prepared breakfast for me, and we headed out together. He went to work, while I went to school.
Shirley Hunt and I walked to the library’s elevator door. When we saw people exiting it, I grinned and said, “…” I wanted to call his nammes , but realized it was inappropriate, so I  said, “Senior.”
Shawn Campbell exited the elevator and nodded to me. The next second, his eyes fell on Shirley Hunt. He locked his gaze on her for two seconds, which made no one uncomfortable. It appeared to be a polite look. He then walked away, nodding to Shirley Hunt.
He is not an elloquent person. I knew it while I was a member of the Campbell family, but I also knew that he is kind. I wouldn’t have been so patient if he hadn’t taken me to view the school on the first day of school, but he didn’t talk and gave people the impression that he was rejecting people hundreds of miles away.
Shirley Hunt smiled as everyone exited the elevator and said, “Sister Irene, how can you even know Shawn Campbell?”
“He welcomed me on the first day of school, and I was unfamiliar with him,” I explained with a smile.
“That’s also fortunate! Do you realize how talented he is?”
“Hmm?” I don’t know anything about him other than the fact that he’s from the Campbells.
Shirley Hunt’s tone is that of a storyteller: “You know Ryan Campbell, right?”
My nerves couldn’t help but tighten as I was surprised, and Shirley Hunt went on to explain, “It is The Campbell’s big boss, and Shawn Campbell is his younger brother, who is known as our school’s male god. Many girls like him, but he is very chilly and rarely interacts with others.”
I smiled, saying, “Shirley, I didn’t expect you to be such an anthomaniac.”
“Everyone likes gorgeous guys,” she explained.
“Check to see if the man who covertly took notes for you is present. Perhaps he is also a lovely young man.”
“Even a good-looking man? He didn’t even bother to show up. Now I’m wondering if he’s looking in the wrong place. Perhaps he shares my name and surname and is seeking for the incorrect person.”
“Once or twice, he might find the wrong person. It’s been more than a semester. Can he still recognize the wrong one?”
