“Are you sure you are okay?” he asked her and she nod her head and wiped the fresh tears that rolled down her cheeks.
“I’m fine thank you” she responded with a forced smile and he nod the just looked at her and wished he could see Dimitri so he could land his fist on his face.
“Do you need me to walk you in?”
“No, it’s fine… I can manage from here, you’ve done enough” she sniffed again and he smiled then gave her hand a comforting squeeze.
“I told him not to hurt you and he did exactly that” he let out a sigh and tighten his grip on the steering wheel as he voice out what was on his mind.
“I wish I could give him a piece of my mind right now and…”
“Philip… It’s fine, I am fine and it’s just a minor issue between a husband and wife and we will figure things out soon” she squeezed his hand that held her and offered him a smile and it was a genuine one.
‘I hope’ she wanted to add but didn’t want to say anything more that happened between her and her husband to him or just anyone.
They might not be standing on a solid relationship ground but what goes on between them stays between them only if it gets out of hand and one is being abused that family needs to be involved but that isn’t their case so she will like to keep things between them till they sort things out by themselves.
“I believe you Audriana, I don’t want you getting hurt but since you assured me then I hope you both settle your misunderstanding soon”
“Thank you for being a great friend Philip… you are an awesome guy and deserve a great girl by your side” she grinned and he reciprocates then reached out to the glove compartment in front of her and brought out a card.
“I am getting engaged next month, here is our wedding invite… it’s happening in five months” he handed it to her and she took it then looked at the invitation card with a smile then back at him.
“I am happy for you… glad to see that you found the one for you” she smiled and he chuckled then nod his head.
“Me too, so do I help you with bringing your bag to Sofia’s apartment? I don’t mind actually”
She kept the card in her small handbag and shook her head ‘no’.
“It’s fine, thank you again, Philip… I will see you later and my greetings to your bride-to-be” she waved and got out of the car then took the small bag she had stuffed a few of her clothing inside then walked inside the building Sofia lived.

When he got home it didn’t feel homey like it used to feel whenever he got home, instead, it felt cold and like there wasn’t any sign of a living person inside… like there wasn’t a sign of his wife inside.
When you get to a place where she was, you will feel her energy around even when she isn’t in the house at the moment… you will still be able to feel her presence in that environment but at the moment her presence couldn’t be felt.
He ran up the stairs hoping what he thinks isn’t the case and when he opened their bedroom door it confirmed his suspicion and he didn’t know how to feel.
The bedspread was a bit crumpled at the edge like something was laying on it and was dragged down, the closet was opened and he walked inside to see some of her clothes missing and that brought a different kind of hurt to his already aching heart.
He had watched her leave and thought he will be able to see her at home so that they could talk things through… he couldn’t do anything to stop her and waves after waves of hurt clashed his heart.
He sat on the floor of the closet and brought his knees up with his arms resting on each knee as he looked around and recalled the events that brought this sad feeling upon him and his wife.
“I am sorry Loveth” he whispered and felt something wet on his cheeks and touched his cheek to see that it wasn’t just any wet substance but his tears.
He cried when Daniella broke his heart and left him shattered and that wasn’t even his fault but now, he feels empty and he was the author of it all.
‘This… all of it was a mistake’ how hurt and broken she sounded when she said those words brought more tears to his eyes and he bowed his head and sobbed at his second failed relationship.
He let the sob out hoping to be relieved of the pain.

“Are you okay?” Sofia asked as she cleaned her face and moved to the side to let her angry but sad bestie inside her home.
“Is everything fine?” Sofia asked again and followed her to the couch she collapsed on after putting her bags on the floor beside the couch.
“You know, Dimitri Miguel Lorenzo is… is a confused man who doesn’t know what he wants.” she shook her head as the tears gather up in her eyes again.
“What happened?” Sofia asked and sniffed.
Audriana was about to tell her a brief of what went on between them but noticed her friend’s sullen face and how her eyes looked slightly red like she had just been crying.
“Why are you crying Sof?”
“It’s Max… not really him, it’s his mother but he is still one of the reasons” she explained and sniffed again.
“Are you and the baby okay?” she cleaned her eyes and placed her hand on her bump as she starts getting worried about her friend and forgetting why she came here in the first place.
“We are perfectly okay just my heart, how about you Audri… what happened?”
“It’s Dimitri and my heart is broken… I guess” she bit her bottom lip to stifle a sob.
“Do you want me to give him a piece of my mind?” they both asked at the same time then let out a fit of giggles before they started crying at the same time.
“I really wish he would choose me and make me first,” they said again at the same time after they had sobbed for almost two minutes and laughed at how accurately they said those words.
“We should be twins,” Audriana said in between laughter, and Sofia nodded in agreement.
“My emotions are all over”
“Me too,” Audriana said and lay the back of her head on the couch as she looked up at the ceiling.
“We need time to let this be sorted” Sofia closed her eyes and tried so hard to keep the sob in.
“Yes, I agree with you. They need to know we are important in their lives and make us their priority” Audriana said and turned her head to look at her.
“We both are so emotional and distressed, same broken heart from two handsome men who are super confused and need to figure things out and know our importance in their lives”
“I agree with you, girl… we deserve a treat for this, have a girl’s night out”
“And cry our hearts out” Sofia added.
“Not too much, baby in our midst” she pointed at her belly and Sofia nodded.
“I will grab some ice cream and chips”
“I will pick out a movie to watch” Audriana stood up to go check for any of the old movies they would watch to kill time while Sofia went to grab the items she stated earlier.
After they had settled, chips and ice cream in between them, blankets wrapped on their legs, and the TV playing one of their favorite movies that would end up making them cry.
At least they could see another reason to let the steam out.
