“You told her already?” he asked over the phone.
“Yeah, I did” he responded and checked the wardrobe properly to be sure he packed all their belongings inside the bags.
He didn’t want to have to come back because he forgot one thing or the other.
Then he proceeds to the bathroom and checks to see nothing much aside from the toothbrush he grabbed earlier and personal bath essentials.
“Did she say it back?”
He paused when he asked him that and thought for a while.
He agreed that he told her how much he likes her but she never said whether she liked him or not then thought about it again.
If the feeling wasn’t mutual, he was sure she wouldn’t have responded to him as she had been, brought him food even when he was and has been a total jerk to her, wouldn’t have forgiven him that easily…
Maybe she would have because she has a kind and beautiful soul.
One of the many reasons he likes her.
“You still there?”
“Yeah, I am” he answered then sat on the bed, crossed one of his over the other, rested his elbow on his leg, and put his face in his palm.
“She didn’t?” he asked.
“No, but I feel like she does like me,” he told him.
“I feel you man, I feel you” he sighed and shuffling could be heard from his side.
“You found a girl?” he asked with a small smile playing on his lips.
“I was actually talking about Audriana. She would have that lovely look when she looks at you, then you will know she likes you a lot” he said and Dimitri let out an annoyed sigh because he was beginning to rethink his choice of calling him in the first place.
“I am beginning to regret putting this call through Stuart,” he told him and stood up to arrange the bags properly.
“I would have called Caleb instead without worrying that I will get this slap every single time”
“You are very much aware that I am the only one between Caleb and me that can take your crap and tantrums… Caleb is dealing with a lot now and that is why you confided in your boy Stua-”
“Yeah, yeah I get it” he cuts him off and could hear him snicker on the other end of the phone.
“So, your little honeymoon is going pretty well?”
“Yes,” he grinned then sat on the bed again to stretch.
He needed to make sure he ended the call before leaving so that he wouldn’t have his hands full as he moves.
“I was able to share a part of me with her and get to know more of her too… and don’t tell me you know more of her because you both dated, which I will like to believe is a lie” he warned and Aiden chuckled.
“Whatever pleases the master” he answered.
“She is really fun to be with and a great company. She isn’t a fan of taking pictures and would make funny faces when you take one of her” he said remembering when he told her to pose for him yesterday.
“I really like her and I think I want to make this work and move on from what has happened… I or anyone don’t deserve to keep dwelling in the past and thinking of the possibilities of things happening because of their past”
“She has shown you the light and I am glad about that” Aiden said in a satisfied tone.
“Yeah, me too”
“Hold on Lorenzo Charmer, did you tell her all about you?”
“Yeah, nothing left out” he responded.
“Even about Daniella? You guys being together and all the craziness that involved she and you?” he asked and got no response.
That made him stop for a while.
It was true that he hadn’t opened this part of his life to her and wondered why he can’t just tell her and get it over with.
If he didn’t tell her, she would come to the knowledge of it soon and it would hurt that he left that part unsaid… it would break him to see her sad because he couldn’t share something like that with her.
“Are you there?”
“Yeah” he answered.
“Your silence says that you haven’t told her yet… dude, you should… before anybody tells her, it has to come from you so she wouldn’t be surprised when she hears of it from an outsider”
“I know man but…” his heart felt heavy as he thought about all the events of the past and how they affected him.
“I know that Daniella left you heartbroken and with the case of her killing a woman which almost got your family distressed and all”
“It is deeper than that Aiden”
“What else did she do that made it so hard for you to let go of the memory? Why are you holding on to it that much? I know heartbreak can hurt but how bad is it because dude it has been years if you aren’t aware and…” he said and let out a sigh.
“It’s more than her leaving me… she killed someone for Christ’s sake, that is sick and disrespectful… she… she” he paused to take a deep breath in and closed his eyes because he could see Pricilia’s cute sleeping face flash through his mind.
“What did she do? Okay, don’t even tell me if you don’t want to but you need to share it with someone. Talk to her about it, let her know who she is hanging out with and who Daniella is to you… it would be easier to handle once she is aware of it”
“I will try to tell her”
“I can’t push you to do what you don’t want to but just do the right thing, okay? I need to go, I have a date to go to” he said to him.
Dimitri nods and sighed then registered what he just said and smiled.
“So, he finally got himself a girl” he smirked.
“Yeah, she is cute but doesn’t want to be my girl… very stubborn” he whispered the last part.
‘Hey, I heard that’ he heard a feminine voice say from the background followed by footsteps.
“Hey, wait up… I will talk to you later man, think of what I told you, bye. Baby wai-” was what he heard before the line went dead.
He chuckled then put his phone in his pocket and lay on the bed as he thought about their discussion.
No one has told her anything about it yet and he was sure she didn’t tell her because if she did, Audriana would have asked him about it long ago so he closed his eyes and then sighed with a determined mind.
He was going to tell her before anyone does.
With that in mind, he took the bags out and to the elevator before checking out and stopping at the grocery store to get ingredients for the meal he promised to make for her.
