I woke up early today and determined to do so every day.
Good routine.
Daina’s counsel prompted me to follow it.
Right now, my main focus was Allen.
It’s best if I assist Allen forget his traumatic history.
I made breakfast in the motel kitchen.
I opened the fridge and saw a food vlogger on my phone.
She had millions of fans.
I followed her recipe.
I attempted to turn the scoffeek with a spoon, but I splashed oil over myself.
My clothing and hands became oily.
I blistered.
If I didn’t solve this mess soon, the kitchen would burn down.
I turned off the burner, anxious.
I walked slowly towards the pan while gagging.
Someone switched off the burner in front of me.
No one even entered the kitchen.
Allen was my hero. He quickly grabbed me.
Then I met his gaze.
I flipped the kitchen.
I tipped over the pan and burned my hands in a frenzy.
I was so humiliated I wanted to hide.
Allen consider me useless?
“What’s wrong?”
Holding my hands, Allen asked.
I bowed my head and couldn’t face him. I had simply wanted to cook breakfast for everyone, but I made a mess .
Allen looked at my blistered hands and said, “Are you okay?”
If I can make you happy, you’ll forget the past.
Allen’s eyes softened as I said that, and he embraced me.
“Dason, I hope you can realize that I simply told you those things to help you get to know me. I don’t want to conceal anything from my partner,” he sighed.
“But I realize that’s in the past. I’ll try to forget it and start a new life with you. I won’t let you down. Do you understand?”
“…Mmh…”
Allen kissed me before I could respond.
He licked my tongue to reassure me.
POV: Daina
Dason wasn’t sleeping when I woke up.
he was unhappy about Allen last night, so I went downstairs to find him.
I heard commotion from the kitchen as I left the room, so I hurried downstairs.
Dason appeared hurt, but I knew my uncle would help him, so I didn’t intervene.
I was anxious about them, so I watched their chat for a while.
My uncle, who was boring and bad at expressing himself, scared me the most.
I couldn’t hear the remainder of their chat, but I saw him kiss Dason. I was relieved that the situation had been resolved.
I tiptoed back upstairs so as not to wake them.
After my uncle treated Dason’s wounds, I bought breakfast for everyone.
Dason informed us after breakfast that Tannu would meet us at the café.
Dason said, “Great! Now we’re closer to the truth.”
When we arrived, Tannu had already ordered coffee for us all.
She nodded and cautiously closed the room’s door.
“Thanks, Tannu,” I replied.
Tannu smiled and thanked me, then turned to Dason.
I asked Tannu, drinking coffee, what knowledge she had.
“Elder Teddy is my father’s closest friend. My father is the only one who knows Elder Teddy’s genuine condition. According to my father, Elder Teddy fled to a mountain in the east of the pack, but he hasn’t heard from him in a long time, so he isn’t sure whether he still lives there.”
She stared warily at me.
“Please, Tannu,” I implored.
Tannu inhaled and nodded.
“Daina, my father wants to see you. Would you want me to organize a meeting?”
I was startled to see a Moonlight Pack elder.
I inquired, “Who’s your dad?”
Almond’s name.
Tannu, tell your dad I’ll meet him.
If Tannu’s father was still loyal to my father, learning the truth would be easy.
Dason’s POV:
We reconnected today.
She was as gorgeous and elegant as before.
Daina and Tannu spoke.
I wasn’t sure whether I was hallucinating, but Tannu continued looking at me.
I was so scared that I quickly glanced aside when our eyes met
When I watched Tannu nod, my heart almost erupted at the notion of seeing her tomorrow.
Midday, the street was busy.
Daina suggested we spend the day exploring the Moonlight Pack’s traditions.
“I’ll take my uncle to areas we went as kids. Maybe it will stimulate his memory.”
Allen nodded.
Tannu grabbed my wrist as I turned to follow them.
Tannu asked me to lunch.
I wanted to spend time with her, but I was reluctant. I couldn’t handle a she-wolf alone.
Daina shoved me.
Dason accepts to eat with Tannu.
Allen’s pov
I didn’t anticipate Daina and Dason to accept Tannu’s invitation on my behalf.
It would be impolite to disobey Tannu, so I nodded. Dason appeared happier than me.
“Dason, have fun. See you at the hotel later,”
Tannu and I shared an uneasy grin.
Dason’s pov
Tannu kindly inquired, “There’s a nice fried chicken place nearby, have you been?”
Tannu and I departed as Daina and Allen watched.
Allen was cheering me on when I turned around.
I smiled and turned around.
Tannu’s stroll was nerve-wracking.
Not knowing each other, we strolled in silence.
When we arrived at her recommended fried chicken place, it was packed.
People waited in line. This eatery seems popular.
we selected a quiet corner table. Tannu’s right.
Heavenly fried chicken.
“You’re eating sauce.”
I froze and let Tannu wipe sauce from my lips.
My pulse was racing and only I knew it.
My ears burnt, and I was convinced they were blazing red.
Was I crazy? Tannu brought me to an amusement park after lunch, where we rode the Ferris wheel and talked.
While riding the Ferris wheel, I watched Tannu’s expression closely.
She had wide, sparkling eyes. My world halted as the Ferris wheel turned.
I just remembered Tannu’s grin. After the park, we had supper.
Tannu was happy.
“Have you had a mate?”
Her abrupt inquiry made me choke.
“I’m worried Moon Goddess has forgotten about me. I haven’t met my spouse yet,” Tannu said.
“Me too. But now I’ve met you. Maybe Moon Goddess hasn’t forgotten us.”
She took a deep breath to regain her courage.
“Dason, would you want to be my mate? I’m good.”
A voice in my brain kept shouting, “What are you waiting for?”
“Then… is it a date?” she questioned sheepishly.
I hoped we’d develop a connection, but not so soon.
