I It was probably Oku’s plot to kill me. Oku shouted the devil’s name.
“Why not ask Daina to return Elizabeth in 2 days? Defeat will result in punishment.”
‘No! I disapprove.”
“My mother’s absence is a mystery.
Who could discover her in 2 days?”
Unexpectedly, Daina stepped forward and stated “So be it.”
“Daina, don’t accept impossible missions.
I assumed she consented to this carelessly because she feared I’d get in trouble.
Daina grinned and grasped my hand jeeringly.
“However, I love your mom. I’m terrified for her. She’s missing.”
I responded decisively, “Then I’ll go.”
She seemed sad about my mom’s absence.
Despite not telling me, I felt her remorse.
Daina was compassionate and powerful.
I couldn’t let my partner face it alone, so I accompanied her.
POV: Daina
Where shall we start, Stephan Buther?
Better to find her quickly.
“I suppose Oku is involved, Daina. I suppose he’s hidden my mum.” He sighed.
“My mother’s safety is ensured if he’s behind this. He must’ve threatened me.”
Stephan Buther’s hypothesis made sense after some thought.
Elizabeth stayed in the palace. She’d seldom seen werewolves.
Oku most wanted to kidnap her. Even if Oku was responsible, we had no evidence.
“Let’s divide, Stephan Buther.
We’ll locate her faster “I recommend.
“Dangerous. I’ll defend you.”
Buther opposed my suggestion.
“You should take care of yourself as I do. Find your mum.”
I squeezed Stephan Buther’s hand to convince him.
He kissed me and said, “Be cautious.”
We part ways then.
The Rosryal palace was complex.
Its depths had various concealed places for hiding.
If Oku grabbed Elizabeth, he probably hid her nearby.
I understood that was my lone lead and my last opportunity to locate Elizabeth.
Overall, it was better than mindlessly meandering.
So I explored the Rosryal palace
I found floor tracks. They led to a wall.
I located the door’s wall mechanism and it opened.
I entered but hesitant.
This hidden area has numerous hefty doors. I’d get a cold whenever I went past a door.
I couldn’t backtrack.
These doors may hide Elizabeth. I discovered Elizabeth in bed beyond the final door.
“Stephen Buther! What’s up?”
“Trap, Daina! Leave!”
Before he could warn me, I heard loud bangs behind me.
All the doors banged as I turned around.
I hurried there, but it was too late. It’s sealed.
I looked for a door opener without success.
This hidden room’s designer didn’t want anybody to leave.
“Why so dumb?” Elizabeth exploded.
Why did you save me? Knowing we were stuck, I joined Elizabeth.
“Stephen Buther, Glad you’re alright. Relax. Buther saves us!”
We can only wait.
Elizabeth hugged me and rubbed my hair like I was her kid.
“You caught? Who’s responsible?”
Pulling away from Elizabeth’s grip, I questioned her.
She shrugged.
“Once I entered the changing room, I felt imprisoned.” Sobbed.
We knew who to blame.
Now, survival was most vital.
Stephan Buther’s viewpoint:
Oku gave Daina too little time.
Finding my mum in a short period was difficult.
When I lost my mother and Daina, things grew worse.
She didn’t answer when I called.
I worried about Daina.
I lost sleep looking for Daina.
Before I could find Daina, Rona reappeared.
Rona departed with my mother, so I questioned her about it.
“Rona, mom accompanied you to look for wedding dresses. What happened after you two disappeared?” I questioned her.
“I don’t know what happened, Stephan Buther. I was so afraid,” Rona said, her eyes wide in panic.
“When we went to the dress shop, someone knocked me out. When I woke up, Mom was gone, and I was in an unfamiliar place. I don’t know what happened to her. It was a struggle to find my way home. But thankfully, I made it, and you’re here. What about you, Stephan Buther? Have you heard any news about Mom? Is she still missing? What about Daina? Where is she?”
I groaned and scowled when I heard this.
Rona’s response showed she didn’t know what occurred.
I returned to the following morning, expecting to find Daina.
I searched the island from daylight to dusk without success.
I strolled along the rocks above the water and thought about Daina.
A familiar voice suddenly appeared.
“Stephan Buther” startled me.
Daina spoke.
OMG! Missing her so much, was I hallucinating? Daina approached as I turned around.
Her hair was damp. She was covered in new wounds, and blood poured from her.
She looked exhausted after a lengthy struggle.
She returned. She was harmed.
Had she been hurt looking for my mother? At the same instant, I smelled blood and our mate link.
Cara shouted “Daina!” in my head.
She was definitely standing before me.
I hugged her. I thought I’d lost Daina forever.
“I’m back, Stephan Buther.”
She held my waist. I felt joy and relief when she arrived.
Then I felt chest discomfort.
“Go to hell, Stephan Buther!” she snarled as she pulled a gun on me.
Then I realized what occurred.
Not Daina.
Someone must have impersonated Daina and mimicked her perfume to fool me.
I stumbled backwards to avoid .
More than a dozen werewolves sprang from the jungle.
They all shot rifles at me.
I knew I couldn’t beat the werewolves with my injury.
I leaped over a cliff to avoid a hail of gunshots.
Splash!
POV: Rona
I liked Elizabeth and Daina leaving.
Elizabeth’s absence allowed me to reject the Andersons’ marriage proposal.
I hoped Daina wouldn’t return.
Stephan Buther disappeared.
Only him mattered to me.
I wasn’t yet his friend.
If he was going to go, why bother getting rid of Elizabeth and Daina?
“Oku, where is Stephan Buther? You made Mom vanish. Did you also have a role in Stephan’s disappearance?”
Oku reclined back in his silk nightgown. He smiled triumphantly, seeming at ease.
Stephan Buther is dead. Ask him in hell who murdered him.
“Stephen Buther’s dead? You’re lying!”
Furious, I yelled and seized his collar.
I wailed and screamed, “I know you’re why Stephan Buther’s gone! You liar! We worked together to get rid of Daina. Why did you have to make Stephan Buther leave too? Give him back to me!”
“Awaken, Rona!”
Oku grabbed my wrists and tossed me on the bed.
If you don’t listen to me, I can’t guarantee your safety.
