The operating room light turned on. Inside, doctors and nurses saved him.
“Hurry, the patient’s stomach needs pumping…”
I endured every minute of the operation.
I gave Dason chicken.
Dason nearly died from poison meant for me.
Fear and guilt overwhelmed me.
What if I killed Dason? He was one of the few werewolves who treated me kindly s.
I waited nervously for the doctor’s verdict with a heavy heart.
“The patient’s condition has improved; he didn’t ingest too much copper powder.”
I sighed and collapsed in relief.
Dason’s life was no longer in danger, but he was still unconscious and hospitalized.
It was my way of repaying him for caring for me in the hospital.
Copper-laced food wasn’t served by accident. I was poisoned.
Since Stephan Buther wasn’t there, I told Jason.
He dispatched investigators.
I missed the investigation because I had to attend training and care for Dason.
Since Stephan Buther defended me, many she-wolves were hostile.
Everyone wanted to hurt me.
Because Maria was the cruelest, I suspected her first.
If I found proof, I’d make her pay.
Buther’s viewpoint:
I went to Green Woods and pressured Sophie as a prince.
She finally gave me Daina’s Diamon bracelet.
Daina would enjoy it.
It was her mother’s bracelet.
Daina wasn’t in the dorm when I returned that night.
My assistant rushed over.
“Mr. Stephen Buther, I have news.”
The attendant told me someone put copper powder in Daina’s food, but Dason ate it.
I frowned.
My body grew cold as my heart raced.
Would I have seen Daina if she’d eaten the poisoned dish? I searched the hospital for her.
“Daina…”
My heart ached as I murmured her name.
I opened Dason’s door when I arrived.
The scene before me made me stop. Daina used a warm cloth to wipe Dason’s chest.
I had to go. It took all my strength to restrain my emotions.
If not, I’d toss Dason out of the hospital.
I’d smack Daina and teach her a lesson.
I told myself Daina was caring for Dason because he was comatose.
She put him in this position. She felt guilty for his illness.
On my walk back, I couldn’t stop thinking about Daina scrubbing another man’s body.
Cara, “You’re overly possessive.”
I’m not possessive since he’s unconscious.
Why would I question my partner? Cara wanted to say something else, but a billboard blocked her view.
Werewolves were conversing around the notice board.
Daina and Dason were mentioned.
“What are you watching?”
Rolling down the window, I requested the werewolves to go.
They hushed when they saw me.
Daina and Dason seemed cozy in the hospital images.
Daina helped Dason roll over in one snap.
She seemed to be embracing him from the camera’s viewpoint.
When I viewed these photographs, I realized I shouldn’t trust my partner.
Buther’s viewpoint:
The following day, I cooled down and visited Daina in her room.
“Stephen Buther!”
Daina greeted me with a smile and brought me into her room.
“I missed you so much,” she said, putting her arms around my waist and smiling at me.
Ouch! I was angry.
looking at Daina’s grin, I automatically tightened my grasp on the bracelet.
In one snapshot I saw last night, Daina was smiling while chatting to Dason.
It burnt my eyes and angered me.
I knew Daina wouldn’t betray me, but Dason made me uneasy.
I kept my cool and let her hold me.
Then I showed her the Bracelet.”My mom’s bracelet!”
Daina’s eyes brightened up as she accepted the bracelet from me.
I said, “Yes, I’ll surprise you.”
What I observed in the hospital stopped me from surprising her last night.
I feared losing control and fighting with Daina.
Daina kissed me on the face on tiptoeI liked hearing her say “honey.”
I let her go, sat on her bed, and watched.
Daina took out the jewelry box to put the Bracelet in and said, “Dason was poisoned and is in the hospital. I’m taking care of him.”
Daina cleaning Dason’s nude chest with a towel upset me.
Daina closed the jewelry box drawer.
Dason wouldn’t have been poisoned if he hadn’t eaten the food I ordered. He’s my closest friend here, and he usually helps me. When I saw him taken to the ER, I felt useless. I didn’t know what to do. Stephan Buther? I’ve never been so afraid in my life. Dason nearly died because of me. Thank God he’s still alive.”
“Daina,”
I interjected because I didn’t want to hear her name.
POV: Daina
Stephan Buther’s tone was off.
I knew he was upset when I glanced at him.
His eyes were blazing with rage.
After he didn’t respond, I approached him.
He sat there, frowning.
“I came back yesterday. I couldn’t locate you in the dorm, so I went to the hospital to visit you,” he added.
“When I arrived, you were scrubbing Dason’s shirtless body.”Stephan Buther’s tone indicated anger.
He flashed wrath before looking up at me.
“I saw your private images,” he said.
How did Dason and I have personal photos?
Dason and I are pals.
“Can you stop being so close to him?”
Jeoffry Buther interrupts me.
Did he imply I shouldn’t contact Dason? We were just buddies, however.
I poisoned Dason. He was in the hospital alone.
How could I leave him? “Can’t guarantee that.”
Stephan Buther immediately approached me.
As my back brushed into the wall, I shuddered from the unexpected coolness.
Then I heard Buther’s frightening voice.
“No”
Stephan Buther stopped me with his lips before I could continue. He trapped my arms over my head and mashed his body against mine.
His tongue was deep in my mouth, and he breathed as if to suffocate me.
Stephan Buther nibbled my lower lip, causing me to gasp.
He gripped me closer as I fought.
I felt suffocated, but I didn’t want the sensation to go away, so I kissed back.
Stephan Buther’s tongue entered my mouth and danced with mine.
Stephan Buther placed his arms around my waist and squeezed harder.
My thigh felt poked.
Stephan Buther, panting, pressed his chin into my nose and helped me unbuckle his belt.
My face and torso burned as in a sauna. Stephan Buther led my hand to his throbbing d*ck.
Immediately, I fell into his arms.
“Do you see your mistake? Huh? ”
Stephan Buther asked breathlessly. I lost my composure under his wrath and need.
I finally realized as I shook violently in his arms.
Stephan Buther punished me so.
I apologized and withdrew my hand to live.
Stephan Buther wasn’t content with my apologies, so he continued to hold me and lifted my dress with his free hand.
