Book:My Arrogant Mate Published:2024-5-1

“We only have-”
Before I could even finish my sentence, Silvan hit Bene’s face so hard that he immediately fell sideways onto the forest floor.
My heart almost jumped out of my chest and I watched wide-eyed as he pounded on him over and over like a maniac.
“Stop it!”, I screamed desperately and wanted to pull him away from him by his white shirt, but Igor immediately grabbed me and held me captive with a tight grip.
Even as a human he was stronger than I was in human form and no matter how I felt about Silvan, I couldn’t stand by and watch him beat him to death.
A menacing growl emanated from the depths of my throat while my whole body started to tremble and when Igor realized what was happening to me, he immediately let go of me for his own good.
Angry and with a racing heart, I endured the transformation, felt the beautiful dress tear and immediately jumped between Silvan and Bene to confront my mate, growling.
“Jade! Get out of the way!” he yelled at me expressionlessly, but I didn’t think about it at all.
HE DID NOTHING WRONG! I yelled at him over the mate line, hoping he’d just drop it and listen to me.
The smell of blood hung everywhere in the air and it gave me an uncomfortable feeling in my stomach when I just heard Bene panting weakly behind me.
Such a damn shit!!!
“Done nothing!?!? At the party you two talk alone, exchange some secrets and then I find you here in the middle of the forest, far away from everyone else, doing what exactly!? Explain to me!”
I saw the desperation in his dark eyes only too well and I even understood his hatred because I had to admit that it all looked really suspicious…
But I was marked and he should know that no wolf would be interested in me anymore, when his intense scent encapsulated everything about me.
THERE IS SOMETHING BENE TOLD ME AND IT IS NOT MY RIGHT TO TALK ABOUT HIS SECRETS, NOR DO YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO BEAT HIM HALF DEAD!
Breathing heavily, Silvan ran his hands through his hair, looked back and forth between me and Igor, completely taken aback, and then wiped his bloody hands on his suit trousers.
“Igor,” he then turned to the bald guy, who looked in rather startled. “Take Bene to the doctor and don’t leave his side until I get there.”
When Igor then just nodded silently and carefully lifted the injured Bene into his arms, we watched the two of them until we couldn’t see them anymore.
“Transform back, now!” he ordered in a trembling voice, bending down to pick up the torn remains of my dress. He picked up my underwear, looked at me intently, and then waited for me to slide back into human form, completely naked.
He only looked me in the eye, even though I felt that it was difficult for him, and then handed me my panties so that at least I didn’t feel completely naked, and then handed me his shirt, which he had unbuttoned during my transformation .
“Now tell me what’s up with Bene,” he then demanded as I put on his shirt and then wrapped it around me, while my gaze briefly fell on his bare chest, which distracted me far too much.
“I can’t. It’s-”
“You can!” he interrupted me loudly and got so close to me that our lips almost touched. “And you will! I realize that nothing happened between you, but Bene has already screwed up enough and I would have expected loyalty from you at least!”
I swallowed hard, already feeling the tree against my back as I watched its irises dart across my face in anger.
So he wasn’t at all jealous that Bene had hit on me, but rather disappointed that I wasn’t telling him something…
“Why is it more important to you to be loyal to him than to me!?” he suddenly growled and when I didn’t know an answer to his question, he immediately grabbed my chin, causing me to gasp.
“Silvan! Are you serious?!” I glared at him angrily and then slapped his hand away.
“What’s all this? You don’t know each other at all! Why should you have secrets with him?!” he asked angrily and at the same time completely confused and slowly I had no choice but to tell him the truth, because I wanted to no longer that he thought so badly of me. After all, he was right. We were soul mates and my total loyalty should be to him alone…
“He’s gay, Silvan,” I said softly, and I resolved to keep the hunter to myself for the time being. After this heated situation, I wanted to add as little fuel to the fire as possible.
“What are you saying?”
Silvan looked at me and just shook his head as if he couldn’t believe what I was saying.
“Why do you invent something like that?” he then asked and I rolled my eyes in annoyance, which immediately brought his hand back to my chin.
“Don’t you believe me? It’s the truth… He’s gay and he only confided in me out of fear that you would cast him out or kill him for it,” I explained calmly, cupping my hands on his cheeks while he looked at me speechless. I wanted to try to calm him down because I hated seeing the anger in his eyes.
“My father must never know,” he breathed suddenly and I didn’t know at the moment whether this sentence was addressed to me or to himself, but what I fortunately knew was that it would also remain his secret and he didn’t want it to come out either.
“He was just scared and I’m sorry. I just wanted to keep his secret and not make you feel betrayed by me,” I whispered, and suddenly a load fell off my shoulders, bringing tears to my eyes hunted.
“Talk to me, Jade. I know there are rules and laws, but I’m not a brute. I don’t want people to be afraid of me, let alone that you feel that way.”
He wiped my tears from my cheek and looked at me so lovingly that I felt like I could open myself completely to him, so I just let out everything else that was between us to finally be in tune with him .
“I want you to think very hard about what you just said,” I began and only got an irritated look from him. “His mate… well, Bene, he has a mate… and… well, he’s one of the hunters.”
Oops…

SILVAN
I caught my breath and somehow tried to deal with what she was saying, but I thought I had misheard it because it all had to be a lie.
“Silvan?” she spoke to me softly and wanted to take my hand, but I turned away from her, clutched my heart that was aching with sorrow and then took several deep breaths with my eyes closed.
In this silence of the gloomy forest, I finally realized why Bene didn’t want to be my beta, even though we’d known each other for so long. His rejection drove a wedge between us and my pride would never again allow us to just clean it up. Now and here I realized that he just didn’t want it because he had to carry this secret with him and as a homosexual my father would have beheaded him without batting an eyelid.
“Fuuuuuuck!”, I yelled my anger beyond everything and heard Jade behind me gasp in shock, but I had to come to terms with myself before I threatened to go completely insane.
Worst of all, he was dating some hunter… One of those people who’d killed wolves from my pack… who almost killed Jade… This one The thought almost tore my heart apart.
With chaos in my mind, I turned to her and looked into her beautiful green eyes.
She knew, so she hadn’t told me. Something so important… how long had she known?
I watched her without expression, catching my irises on my bite, which was easily visible under my white shirt on the crook of her neck.
“I-” she started, but I held up my hand and she stopped, only to look down in embarrassment.
I immediately felt sorry for interrupting her like that because I couldn’t see her sad. It tore me from the inside out and I realized that no matter what she knew, no matter what she hadn’t told me, and no matter how many secrets she still held, I would always forgive her… because she just wanted to protect others with me her secrecy.
That made her, in my eyes, the most amazing person I’d ever met, because no matter how scared she was of my reaction, she wanted to protect Bene and that’s exactly what I should do now.
“Listen to me,” I then turned to her and immediately she looked up at me shyly while biting her lower lip.
Damned! She drove me crazy!
“What you just told me, no one can know, okay?”
Even as I looked at her questioningly, I felt totally idiotic. She of all people had proved enough that a secret was safe with her.
“Of course,” she answered immediately and then sought my proximity.
She snuggled up against my bare chest and put her delicate hands on my back while I pulled her even closer and rested my head on her shoulder.
Her hug alone felt so good that I couldn’t feel any hate at all.
“I’ll talk to Bene and despite everything, I don’t want you or him to go into the forest anymore. Humans don’t have strong mate bonds, if they have any, and I don’t trust any of them. Please do me this favor.”
She didn’t say anything, but the nod against my chest was confirmation enough that she understood me.
“Come with me. I’ll take you home and then drive straight to Bene’s,” I said in a whisper when everything in me had calmed down to some extent and led her out of the forest by my hand to leave her standing there for a moment.
“Where are you going?” she asked when I had already disappeared a few meters between the cars and I immediately stopped to turn around to face her.
“Do you think I’ll let you walk around here in your shirt and panties among the people?” I smiled at her and raised an eyebrow, which colored her cheeks slightly red. “I’m just going to get the car.”
She just nodded in embarrassment and I quickly dug the key of the SUV out of my pocket to unlock the car at the other end of the parking lot, but my father suddenly angrily blocked my way.
“Where have you been?” he asked pissed off and then looked me up and down. He noticed the blood on my hands and his gaze became even more intense.
“On the way,” I replied annoyed and hoped he would let it go, which of course he didn’t do.
“Silla!” he growled warningly and grabbed my wrist, which made me so angry that I immediately snatched my hand away from him and started to growl too.
“I have something to do!” I explained in a dark voice, but he made no move to avoid me.
“Boy, you’re completely out of control! These are the celebrations where an Alpha needs to be there for his pack,” he said, gesturing behind him toward the gym. “But you’re not yourself anymore. I hear things. Things that disappoint me and make me doubt if I made the right decision to make you an Alpha!”
“What things?” I asked immediately, feeling my hands shaking slightly with anger. “That I’ve gone soft? That I’d rather fix things than always banging my head against the wall like you showed me???” I almost screamed, building myself up in front of him.
“Exactly! An Alpha doesn’t fix things! He doesn’t punish or forgive anyone even once! This girl has no idea how to act as Luna, much less how to make you a good Alpha. Such a stupid- ”
Before he could finish his sentence, I shoved him aside and scrambled into the car before ripping his larynx out.
He thought I was weak? He had no idea, because true strength isn’t found in strength or in suppressing others, but in making the best possible use of hopeless situations.
Jade made me better even if he didn’t see it and then when I started the car, pulled around the parking lot and she got in, I knew right away that she was going to be the perfect Luna.
A Luna that needs this torn world, because violence has been around long enough. It was time for compromises and solutions.

When we got to the house, it was already dark outside and it slowly started to rain again.
We sat next to each other in silence for a while, each lost in our own thoughts and listening to the drops that were pattering louder and louder on the car roof.
“I didn’t want to hide anything from you,” I then whispered, being the first to break the silence, nervously playing with my fingers on my bare thighs.
“I know,” he replied quietly and then held out his hand, which I immediately took in mine. “I hope you can trust me from now on.”
I looked deep into his eyes, felt those pleasant butterflies and nodded at him with a smile. Because he not only spared my brother, but also now clearly showed that he didn’t want to deliver Bene to the knife, I really had my fullest trust in him.
“I hope he’s okay,” I said, breathing heavily, avoiding his gaze when the images of Bene lying on the forest floor came back to my mind.
“Bene is an elderly wolf. He’s probably fine now. I’ll drive over to him and come back as soon as possible.”
Nodding at him, I was about to get out of the car, but he immediately pulled me back by my hand and took my chin between his fingers to kiss me, the passion making everything in me tremble.
When his hand then slowly wandered from my chin, over my collarbone, to my breasts, I broke from this intense kiss and looked into his dark eyes flickering with lust.
“Silvan,” I admonished him with red cheeks, but suddenly I wanted nothing more than to feel him and forget everything else.
Completely out of my mind, I climbed over the center console and spread my legs across his lap to cup his handsome face in my hands…
The atmosphere was just perfect to show him my love, because here in the dark car, with the loud sounds of the rain, it was more than just romantic… but unfortunately one thing still blocked me.
“We don’t have any contraception here,” I whispered, gently stroking his black hair before placing my hands on his muscular chest.
“Who says that?” he breathed with a dirty grin and lifted my bottom a bit to really get a condom out of his pocket.
“Why do you have a condom with you?” I asked immediately, raising an eyebrow at him, which only made him smile in amusement.
“Seeing you in a beautiful dress made me take precautions and now you’re sitting here in your panties and see-through shirt, legs apart on my lap. I must be the happiest wolf in the land.”
My abdomen was already glowing with pleasure, although nothing had happened yet and eager for his touch, I put my lips longingly on his and caressed his cheek, which prompted him to put his hands on my buttocks to gently squeeze them to knead.
I moved rhythmically on his crotch, felt his excitement already pressing against my middle and could hardly wait to feel it deep inside me.
“Wait,” he breathed out of our kiss and lifted me back a bit so he could open his pants and put on the condom. I watched him, even though my cheeks were glowing, and then I looked deep into his eyes again.
“Come here.”
He grabbed my buttocks, lifted me onto his full lust and pushed my panties aside with one hand so that I could slowly settle down on him and then moaning and absorbing him completely.
I took a little time to get used to his size and while I looked into his eyes intently and with my mouth slightly open, I began to move rhythmically on him, which made him moan with pleasure.
He grabbed my hips, kissing passionately down my collarbone and overwhelmed by this feeling, I let my head fall back and enjoyed the repeated penetration of him until I felt my climax coming and wanted to look into his eyes.
He took my chin, fixed my gaze and looked deep into my eyes when I came while I tensed up moaning and then he also came inside me.
“You are perfect, Jade,” he whispered in my ear as I fell exhausted onto his shoulder and then tenderly stroked my slightly trembling back…
“You make me perfect,” I breathed, kissing his cheek before getting up slightly and adjusting my panties.
“Wait,” he said before I could open the car and took something else out of his pocket.
“What’s that?” I asked curiously, taking the small box and then sitting back down in my seat, staring at her.
“Just a little thing.”
I glanced at it and then opened the box to be amazed to find a really nice silver necklace.
I carefully took it in my hand and looked at the heart charm engraved with the letters JS.
Pretty cheesy actually, but it came from him and I smiled gratefully at him and handed the necklace to him to lift my hair.
“Would you please?”
He leaned over to me, put the necklace on me and stroked my neck so gently that a pleasant goosebumps immediately arose on him.
“Thank you,” I breathed as I turned back towards him and then watched him, still embarrassed, as he straightened his pants again.
Would it be unromantic to ask where he had thrown the condom?
“I’m going to Bene’s for a moment. Go in and rest first,” he said, still smiling, and kissed my hand after I got out of the car, grinning and overjoyed.
Of course he didn’t drive on until I was safely inside the house and with the trailer between my fingers, I leaned against the wall with my eyes closed and daydreamed in love.

SILVAN
After Jade had disappeared into the house and I knew she was safe, I restarted the engine and immediately drove in the direction of Dr Hutzfeld’s office.
I thought about her the entire drive, and even though everything around me seemed more complicated than ever, the thought of her kept a grateful smile on my face.
She was so loving, so loyal and anything but a naive fool, as my father and Viola kept claiming.
Through her, I finally understood that there was not only white and black, but so much in between, and that one should always take the time to understand others in their actions rather than immediately judge them.
If she wasn’t by my side, I certainly wouldn’t have even given Bene the opportunity to explain himself, let alone even listened to him. But I was different, and just because my dad was alpha before me and had different views than I did, didn’t mean I deserved any less respect.
After all, people were just afraid of him and his actions, but being afraid of someone, or respecting them, made a big difference.
When I got to the practice, I got out and only now realized that I was completely naked at the top, which actually didn’t give a damn.
There were more important…
I ran through the rain to the front door, opened it and immediately saw Igor sitting on one of the chairs in the waiting room.
“Can you please explain to me what’s going on?” he spoke to me immediately and then hastily got up to come towards me.
“Please drive to my house and take care of Jade.”
I wanted to hand him the keys to my car, but he just looked at her thoughtfully and then looked deep into my eyes again.
“I’m not an idiot, Silvan. And I’m probably your best friend. Please explain to me what’s going on here.”
Taking a deep breath, I took his arm and led him to the other end of the room to collect myself first…
“Bene has a mate, and not just any one, but one of the hunters.”
Igor opened his eyes in disbelief and sat down first, as if my words couldn’t let him stand anymore.
“And since I have no idea to what extent normal people can feel the mate connection, I don’t know what exactly this hunter is up to. Is he really attracted to Bene, or does he want to get to us through him? How much does Bene have from us to him? told me? Igor, I just don’t know what to do anymore.”
Frustrated, I flopped into the chair next to Igor and stared at the yellow painted wall across from us as the dim light flickered overhead and the rain outside was the only thing breaking the silence.
“I feel the connection and I’m a normal person too,” Igor said after a while, leaning forward in his chair. “I think you need to talk to Bene about it.”
“Yes, I wanted to do that,” I replied, leaning forward as well. “How is he anyway?”
“Don’t worry, he’s fine. I was just inside with him and he started laughing again.”
A stone fell from my heart and I immediately relaxed a bit, since I hadn’t caused him too much damage.
“What about your father?” Igor then asked, standing up to offer me his hand. I let him help me to my feet and immediately shook my head.
“He mustn’t find out anything about it, otherwise Bene isn’t the only one who has to fear for his life. I don’t trust him anymore. Something’s wrong with him,” I explained to Igor, who immediately nodded in agreement.
“No one will hear a word from me, brother. I promise. I’m going to Jade’s now.”
I handed him the key again, waited until he had left the house and then ran to the door of the treatment room where Jade was recently treated. My god she had been through a lot since she was with me.
For a moment I thought about how she tried to escape with my car and I smashed the window, which made me smile… then I collected myself and knocked on the door.
“Come in,” I heard Bene’s weak-sounding voice and then hesitantly entered.
Sure, I didn’t have to feel bad because no one had the right to be mad at me about anything as an alpha, but I still felt like shit towards him.
“Hey,” I almost whispered as I looked at Bene, who was sitting on the couch and looked at me apologetically.
“Silvan, let me-”
I raised my hand to stop him and then took a deep breath.
“Bene, I’m really sorry that I misjudged the situation so badly,” I began to explain myself, which made him stare at me with wide eyes.
“Did you really apologize for something just now?” he said confused and immediately I had to smile rolling my eyes, which made him grin.
“She seems really good for you,” he added, which made me nod in agreement.
“Apparently,” I said quietly, then sat down next to him on the couch to give him a questioning look.
“Why didn’t you tell me you were gay?”
He nervously ran his fingers through his blond-brown, short curls and gasped.
“Because I didn’t know how you would react. Before Jade came, you hardly spoke to anyone. Especially not with me and you became more and more like your father. I was just afraid,” he explained and I had to agree with him immediately give.
Jade was truly my savior from this total darkness of my heart…
“But I’m not like him. I would have understood. But what I can’t understand is your connection to the hunter,” I said and he immediately looked over at me apologetically.
“I can’t understand it myself. It was a few weeks ago that I smelled this wonderful smell in the forest and when I saw it, I was blown away and he also felt this connection. We kept meeting up secretly, we talked a lot and even if we only had five minutes together, it was just so easy and beautiful,” he almost gushed, and I had to smile myself because the feelings were so familiar to me.
Ohh Jade….
“But I finished it when we last met,” he then said in a broken voice, and I thought he would surely cry if I hadn’t been there.
“And why?” I then wanted to know and he looked into mine with his green eyes while they filled with tears.
“Because his companions are chasing mine and that would always stand between us. Something like that doesn’t end well, Romeo and Juliet have already proved that to us…”
He wiped away his tears and I immediately put my arm around his shoulder in sympathy, causing him to lay his head on my chest and cry.
When the mate is also the enemy…
I didn’t even want to imagine how he might feel.
