Third person’s point of view.
(Dancer’s-Elves-Clan)
Ingrid had just finished arranging her bed and was getting ready to sleep, suddenly she felt a cold breeze blew past her leaving her window open.
Her eyebrows knitted in a confused frown, but she didn’t read much into it.
She walked towards her dressing table, she reached for her facial mask but a short and scared scream escaped her lips, when she saw a young man standing behind her through the mirror.
Ingrid sprang up at once and wanted to turn around, but the man was very fast to hug her from behind and slammed his hand over her mouth -muffling any sounds coming out.
“I’m not gonna hurt you” he whispered in her ear. “I’m gonna let go of your mouth and you’re not gonna scream, or that’s what’s gonna get you killed” he threatened her.
Her eyes widened, her whole body started shaking in great fear and she nodded.
He studied her for a moment, before removing his hand and sat on the dressing table.
“W-who are you?” Ingrid asked in a short stutter.
He raised his eyebrows at her question.
“What? You don’t know me? Even though we’ve spoken to each other twice?” he asked her back.
Ingrid narrowed her eyes as she racked her brain and tried to recollect where she’s encountered this man before, but she doesn’t seem to recall ever meeting him.
“I promised to help you get your revenge on Ara, I’m here to fulfill my promise” he said.
This statement got Ingrid’s jaw dropping and her mouth failing open, she stared dumbly at the man standing in front of her and blinked rapidly.
“You’re a young man? Aren’t you supposed to be an old man?” she asked after she’s recovered from her shock.
“Uh.. ” he smirked. “.. let’s just say I hate wrinkled skins and want nothing to do with them”
“I don’t understand, your voice sounded exactly like that of an old man and…” she trailed off when she’s got nothing left to say.
She realized she’s talking to someone who might be a very strong wizard, and curiosity might get her killed.
“It’s so late” she glanced at her wall clock. “It’s almost 11:30pm, why did you come to look for me so late? How did you know my clan? And how did you get into my room?” she asked several questions at once.
He stared at her for a while, then laughed shortly. He got up and headed towards her window, he folded his hands behind him as he looked outside.
“I know what I wanna know” he paused. “And I came in through your window, you even saw that”
Ingrid twisted her lips, then another question hit her.
“Our security is very tight, how did you get passed them?”
“I can go wherever I wanna go and no security can hold me back” he turned to face her. “Not even your loose security which he you think is tight”
She closed her eyes, gritted her teeth and glared at him. But at once she received an invisible resounding slap, she groaned loudly and held her cheek and she narrowed her eyes at him.
“I’d advise you stop glaring at me or you’re gonna get more than just a slap this time” he hissed warningly at her.
“You promised you’d help me get revenge, what have you done about it?” she asked. “Nothing!”
“I told you to be patient and I’ll create an opportunity for you to get your revenge”
“Yeah, but I don’t see any opportunities…”
“Shut up!” he growled at her.
Ingrid flinched back slightly and sealed her lips at once.
“Pack up, I’m taking you on a long trip tomorrow”
“Trip? Tomorrow? Where are we going?” she asked.
“Don’t ask questions, just come with me or lose your chance of getting your revenge”
“B-but, it’s so sudden, how do I explain this to my parents?”
He glared at her.
“That’s your problem, just be ready when I come to get you tomorrow” he smirked, waved at her and disappeared.
Ingrid looked around as if she’s making sure he’s gone, she slumped on her bed and ruffled her hair.
“Should I trust him?” she asked herself.
★★★★★
Arabella’s point of view.
“Hurry up people, we can’t bear the consequences of delaying his Majesty’s trip!” I heard barking at the maids and servants.
It’s been exactly five days since Wymond and I discussed about visiting the vampire King’s palace, and today’s the day we’re leaving.
We wouldn’t have made the departure day today, if the vampire King didn’t send another letter, in which he stated that, the plague has wiped out an entire clan already.
I find it very weird though, like, is the plague that deadly that it could wipe out an entire clan? Why does it seem like no medicine can cure it?
“Baby, are you done yet?” Wymond asked.
“Almost” I replied.
“Almost?” he sighed. “You’ve been saying that since twenty minutes ago” he complained.
I rolled my eyeballs and scoffed.
“I need to look good, you don’t expect the queen of all supernatural creatures to appear so unkempt and ugly” I said.
I reached for my comb and started combing my hair, Wymond collected the comb from me and continued combing it.
“Please tell me this is the last step” he pleaded.
I raised my hair slightly and checked his expression, which I almost laughed at.
“It’s the last step” I told him.
Just then a knock was heard from the door, we could both tell it’s Edward that’s knocking just from his scent emitting from the door.
“Your Majesty, we’re all set” he said.
“Hm” Wymond hummed and Edward left quickly.
“Alright, let’s go” I said and got up.
We headed towards the door, Wymond opened the door only for us to come face to face with Renee. She grinned and waved.
“Hi” she greeted us.
Wymond rolled his eyes at her, he looked down at me and gestured downstairs and I nodded. He glared briefly at Renee before heading towards the stair.
Renee quickly linked our arms as she smiled evilly.
“Eh.. I think I’m scared of whatever you are about to say right now” I said.
She laughed at my words.
“I just wanna tell you”
She looked around, as if she doesn’t want a third party to hear whatever she wanna say. Then she leaned closer to my ear.
“I just wanna remind you, I wanna hear the news that I’ll be expecting a niece when you’re back”
“What? Renee…”
She placed a finger on my lips and shushed me.
“Take this trip to the vampire kingdom as a honeymoon and make good use of this opportunity, I want twins or triplets” she said.
My cheeks flamed up in embarrassment, I can’t believe what my sister-in-law is saying to me. Does your sister-in-law gives this kind of advise too?
I guess not, I just had to have the most craziest sister-in-law on earth.
“Ara!!” she called.
“Yeah”
“Promise me, promise me I’ll be expecting twins or triplets by the time you’re back” she said.
“Uh…”
“Don’t uh, promise me” she insisted. “My brother’s stayed long enough on this earth without a his own pup, please get pregnant for him soon” she pleaded, she sounded so desperate.
Renee’s right though, Wymond would also be very happy if I get pregnant for him.
“Fine, I’ll work very hard in this trip” I assured her.
Renee pulled me into a very tight hug and kissed my cheek.
“Thank you very much, Ara” she thanked me. “And please listen to Wymond, we might not know it yet but I can feel you’re already pregnant.. so, don’t overstress yourself or even think of getting involved in any fight, ok?”
I nodded.
“Don’t just nod”
“Ok, I’ll keep every single word you’ve said in mind”
She smiled at me.
“Let’s go or someone might rip off my head just soon” she said and nodded at Wymond, Who kept glancing our way even though he’s talking with Edward.
I smiled.
“Let’s go”
