Third person’s point of view.
(Alpha Jarek’s office)
Alpha Jarek was going through some files with a serious frown, he pushed the file aside and reached for some photos -his frown deepened as he stared at each of them.
“I still can’t figure out why these pups are kidnapped, what’s the similarity among them?” he asked himself.
The door suddenly burst open, his Beta and a few warriors rushed in, the warriors’ clothes were having bloodstains all over
“Alpha, there’s a problem” his beta said quickly.
Alpha Jarek raised his head and sprang up when he saw the bloodstains.
“What’s wrong?” he asked, he looked between the warriors and his Beta.
“We were attacked by some strange looking creatures on our way, we couldn’t fight them off no matter how hard we tried, so, we had to flee or we’d all lose our lives” one of the warriors reported.
Alpha Jarek looked behind them as if he’s looking for someone.
“Then where are the others?” he asked.
“They are all at the infirmary, many of them are badly injured” another warrior answered.
“Then let’s go to the infirmary” he said.
He dropped the photos on the table and rushed out, the beta and warriors rushed after him.

Arabella’s point of view.
“So… what happened?” I asked Daphne, her cries have died down by now and she’s just hiccuping.
We’re sitting on a bench in the waiting area, mom and a nurse who was tending her wounds are also with us.
“We were on our way to the neighboring pack to deliver some goods as Alpha Jarek ordered us, but we were suddenly attacked by some strange looking creatures -I have never seen anything like them before”
“What do they look like? Can you describe them?” I asked.
Her eyes blinked rapidly as she tried to hold back her tears.
“They looked like giant bats, but they’re not bats…”
Giant bats, but they’re not bats?
“… they had very long nose but only one nostril, pink eyes that had murderous intentions lurking in them, six legs and blade like arms with no fingers or claws”
Chills, bad chills ran down my spine at her description, I tried imagining them and fuçk, it’s damn scary to even imagine.
What are those things? Where do they come from? Or are they some kind of species that has stayed hidden for years?
“We tried to fight them off but we couldn’t withstand them, their blade arms cut very deep in us and made us weak instantly, their blade arms weaken us way faster than wolfsbane or silver… we had to run or none of us would have survived them” she narrated.
I sighed deeply as I tried to imagine the scene, it’d be so bloody judging from how badly wounded they are -Many warriors must have lost their lives in this attack.
“Easy” I told the nurse when Daphne hissed in pain.

(Few minutes later)
The groans and screams from the injured warriors has died down, because almost all of them have gotten treatments, although few of them are still unconscious but it’s certain they’re fine.
Even Alpha Jarek and beta Luke have arrived, they’ve been inspecting the warriors and asking relevant questions about what happened.
But I noticed something about Alpha Jarek and mom, he kept stealing glances at mom since he arrived and mom wouldn’t stop smiling -though she tried to hide her smile.
I guess Arthur’s right, Alpha Jarek does have a thing for mom and it seemed like mom also has a thing for him.
Maybe I will be their matchmaker after all these is over, it’s been so many years since dad passed away and mom deserves to be happy again.
“Alpha?” Beta Luke called him to get his attention.
He blinked a few times and turned his eyes away from mom then faced beta Luke, but I caught a glimpse of his red ears and chuckled -he’s blushing.
“We’ve got five severely injured warriors and three dead bodies” beta Luke handed a file to Alpha Jarek.
I tilted my head to take a sneak peek, but I couldn’t see anything.
“What should we do?” Beta Luke asked.
“Send some hefty warriors to go retrieve the bodies and compensate the deceases family then write a letter to the Alpha King, we must inform him about this at once” Alpha Jarek ordered.
“Yes, Alpha” beta Luke answered and rushed off.
Mom tapped my shoulder and I turned to her.
“You should head back now, I just got a mind-link from Arthur, he said your driver’s waiting to take you back” she said.
I simply nodded, then turned back to Daphne.
“Dolphin, I have to go back to the palace now, I’ll mind-link or call you later, ok?”
She sighed and nodded quietly, I gave her a tight hug before heading out.
“Mom, I’m leaving” I said to mom as I left.
I’ll inform Wymond about this, he might have an idea what those creatures are.

Third person’s point of view.
(Outside evergreen pack _ the masked man’s cave)
Drake glared at the masked man who’s laughing annoyingly loud beside him, he balled his fist and clenched his jaw.
“It was a success! It was a success!” the masked man shouted.
“You didn’t tell me your experiment involved hurting my pack members!” he growled at the masked man.
The masked man stopped laughing, he stared at Drake for a moment then shook his head.
“No, no, son, you’re getting it wrong” he said.
He walked closer to Drake and placed a hand on his shoulder, then tapped it.
“You’re no longer part of their pack, they don’t see you as their pack mate anymore” he whispered in Drake’s. “You’re now considered a rogue, son”
“I’m not a rogue” Drake gritted out.
“Of course you are” the masked man sighed. “It’s been two years since you left the pack, it’s been two years since you attended their pack meeting and you’re saying you’re not a rogue?”
Drake didn’t say anything, he simply closed his eyes and inhaled deeply.
“Promise me you won’t hurt her” was all he could say.
“Of course, I won’t hurt her because she have the biggest role in my play”
The masked man walked towards a wardrobe, he reached for a very small box and stared at it with a smirk.
“Three wolves’s pack have proven how weak they are before my creation” he chuckled. “Next are the vampires, let’s see how strong they actually are!” Then he continued laughing his evil laughs.
