Renee’s point of view.
ONE HOUR-THIRTY MINUTES LATER (Wymond’s room).
“Your… your Majesty….”
Wymond pushed the doctor aside before she could complete her words and rushed to Ara’s side, he reached for her right hand and held it in his tenderly as he stared at her face.
“Why isn’t she waking up yet?” he growled.
I sighed and got up, who knew a day like this would come, when my emotionless brother would be worried over someone.
“Thank you, doctor” I thanked the doctor on Wymond’s behalf. “Is there anything we should take note of?” I asked.
“Er… no, I have stopped the bleeding, cleaned and dressed up her wounds” she carried her medicine box. “She’ll….”
“Isn’t she a werewolf? Why isn’t her wounds healing on their own?” Wymond interrupted her with a question.
His questions made perfect sense, as a werewolf Ara’s wounds were supposed to heal naturally, but why aren’t they healing?.
Something is wrong somewhere.
“Her wounds were likely caused by silver or wolfsbane, enhance she couldn’t heal, but I have cleaned her system and she’d heal before tomorrow morning” the doctor explained facing me mostly since she’s scared of Wymond.
“Alright, thank you, I’ll walk you out”
“No, it’s fine, your highness” she said and ran out as if her coat’s on fire.
I turned back to Wymond.
“I’ll make those b@stards pay for messing with my queen!” he promised himself.
“I guess you need some alone time with your mate” I told him. “And one more thing, open up to her and let her know everything about you, she’s stronger than you think”
“I know what to do!” he growled.
“Oops, my bad” I said and left immediately.

Third person’s point of view.
Wymond kissed Ara’s knuckles softly and caressed her cheek.
“I’m sorry, Arabella” he apologized.
He continued staring at her silently, his heart broke as he couldn’t do anything but watch his wounded mate laying helplessly on the bed.
“I’m very sorry for putting you in harm’s way” he apologized again. “Get well soon, will you?” he paused. “I have a lot of things to tell you, there are a lot of things you should know about me”.
He folded his lips in his mouth and closed his eyes, he chuckled lightly.
“It’s funny how I’m fooling myself by trying to deny my feelings” he paused and chuckled again. “I never wanted to admit my feelings for you or even submit to our mate-bond, I wanted to distance myself from you for your safety, but I never knew doing that would put you in harm’s way”.
He sat on the bed and started playing with her hair gently.
*Our mate is so cute, beautiful and brave* Hades purred.
*Yes, she was so fierce when fighting those b@stards* Finn supported him.
*I can’t wait until we mate* Adan, Wymond’s vampire’s side said.
Wymond quickly shut them out before he loses control to them, he continued watching his mate with a satisfied smile.
“You’re the only fit to be my queen, queen Arabella Wymond!” he nodded approvingly at his name being attached to Ara’s name.
There’s a sudden knock on the door, he took a quick sniff and he perceived a very familiar scent.
“What?”
“Your Majesty, I have completed the task you gave me” Edward’s voice sounded from outside.
“Wait in my office” he replied.
“Yes, your Majesty” with that Edward left.
Wymond kissed Ara’s forehead and covered her with a blanket.
“Maids?” he called.
Cora who’s being on standby at the door quickly pushed the door open and rushed in.
“Yes, your Majesty” she said, bowing her head.
“Take care of my queen” he ordered.
“Yes, your Majesty” she answered.
Wymond stared at Ara for another few moments, before he headed out.

KING’S OFFICE.
“How was it?” Wymond asked.
“Their leader has been taken to the dungeon and we also arrested some of his followers, the rest escaped?” Edward reported.
“Escape?”
“Yes, we chased them down to the school infirmary, but we still couldn’t catch them”
Wymond’s eyebrows furrowed.
“There’s also something else I must report to you, your Majesty”
He dropped a sheet of paper on the table, Wymond reached for it and narrowed his eyes as he read the words written on it.
“Drake is missing”
“Drake?” Wymond asked, he looked at Edward for a clearer explanation.
“Drake is the guy you beat up at her highness’s school two days ago, we couldn’t find him at the infirmary”
Wymond nodded.
“I told you to investigate him, what did you find out?”
“Nothing yet, we only know he left his pack two years ago and came back rich, his source of income is still unknown”
“Hm”
Wymond glared at the sheet of paper in his hand.
“What do you think about everything that’s going on?” he asked Edward.
“I think it’s all connected somehow” Edward said.
“Hm”
“Packs don’t just wage war against each other for no reason, and this was a sneak attack on the evergreen pack” Edward paused. “Someone must have instigated the Black-Knight pack?”
“The attacking wolves are Black-Knight pack?”
“Yes, your Majesty, and I think someone must have wrongly tipped them off”
Wymond shut his eyes and inhaled deeply.
“It’s him” he murmured.
He opened his eyes and got up.
“Let’s go to the dungeon” he said.

Arabella’s point of view.
My body’s acing and I feel sore all over, but I’m not gonna give up, not when I’m about losing my pack.
I must avenge those pups who lost their parents and are automatically rendered orphans, I must avenge those parents who lost their sons and daughters, I must make them pay.
With that determination on my mind, I tried my hardest to get back on my feet but….
My eyes snapped open, I sprang up and looked around frantically, I squinted my eyes when I realized I’m no longer surrounded by bloodthirsty wolves -rather, I’m on a bed.
I looked around again, that’s when my eyes landed on Cora who’s folding some clothes with her back facing me.
“Co-” I coughed slightly to clear my cracked voice. “Cora” I called in a quiet and tired voice.
She turned around with a smile and rushed towards me, she dropped the clothes on the bedside table -I just noticed they’re actually blankets.
“You’re finally awake, your highness” she said happily.
“Hm” I hummed and coughed again.
She rushed back to the table at the sitting area, she poured some water in a glass and brought it to me.
“Have some water, your highness” she said as she handed the glass of water to me.
“Thank you” I whispered.
I reached for the water and gulped it down quickly, I finished it a minute and handed the empty glass back to her.
“Are you feeling much better?” she asked.
“Yeah”
I twist my body to confirm my words, then it dawned on me that I was fighting in my pack before I passed out.
“Why am I back? Wasn’t I fighting in my pack? What am I doing back here? How did I get back?” I bombarded her with questions.
Her cheeks suddenly turned red, is she blushing?.
“His Majesty carried you back” she said.
“Wymond?”
She nodded.
“He carried me back?”
She nodded again.
“Why?” I asked even more confused.
“You were badly injured and passed out, so his Majesty carried you back” she explained shortly.
“Oh”
She broke into a very wide smile.
“His Majesty was so worried, he stayed by your side for a very long time”
“Huh?”
I’m shocked hearing all this, I mean, Wymond carried me? He was worried? He even stayed by my side? Wait, is Cora bluffing me?.
But then I recalled seeing Wymond before I passed out, he must have taken care of those bad guys -I sighed in relief.
“Yes, your highness, he wouldn’t have left your side if his Excellency didn’t come to call him” she said.
My eyebrows furrowed.
“His Excellency? Who’s that?” I asked.
“His Majesty’s assistant”
“Oh, you mean Edward?”
She nodded.
I sighed.
“Where are they now?” I asked.
“They’re at His Majesty’s office, it seems like they’re discussing something very important”
“Ok… ” My stomach growled and I chuckled lightly. “I guess I’m hungry” I told her.
Cora laughed.
“I’ll bring your dinner” she said and rushed out.
