Book:Mia and Mara Published:2024-5-1

Still in the theatre at Seraline Jonse hospital
“We are losing him Miaa!!” doctor Sanchez screamed, making Mia panic.
“How?? I did as you told me to?” Mia dropped the scissors on the tray with her gloves covered in blood.
“Move aside” doctor Sanchez pushed Mia aside and took over the surgery.
Mia lowered her gaze as she looked at her feet…she never knew that she would lose her first patient during her first surgery.
She just wished that the patient doesn’t give up the ghost because if he does then there is no way doctor Sanchez was going let her do another surgery again.
While Mia was worrying herself about what she did wrong when all she did was follow doctor Sanchez’s instructions.
Doctor Sanchez was smiling inwardly to himself because he purposely made her do the wrong thing.
He had so much confidence that even if Mia did the wrong thing he would be able to solve whatever problem he would make her create.
But his assumption was very wrong because even he couldn’t save the patient as he was losing him.
“Oh no!!” He lamented as he looked at the patient heart beat.
“Mia, give him CPR now!!! We need his new heart to beat” doctor Sanchez yelled as a nurse wiped his face.
“If this patient dies because I am trying to play hero, I will never be able to forgive myself,” doctor Sanchez said in his mind but little did he know that Mia could read his mind.
After giving the patient the CPR which he wasn’t responding to. She looked at him with all her focus on where his heart was placed.
“I know what to do” Mia beamed with a smile as she took the scalpel and cut through another part of his skin.
With all her focus on his newly transplanted heart…she was somehow able to do what the almighty doctor Sanchez couldn’t do.
“Now that is my Mia” Melinda smiled and clapped her hands before she left the top of the roof.
After the surgery, doctor Sanchez went to wash his hands and so did Mia and the other doctors who took part in the surgery.
“What you did to me in there wasn’t right. If you wanted to prove your intelligence then you could have done that by giving me the right directions.
An innocent person could have died because of you” Mia told doctor Sanchez plainly before she wiped her hands and walked out.
Still in court
“I am so sorry…I was so lost in my own thoughts that I didn’t see you coming” Mara apologized the moment she collided with the judge.
“I understand that you are worried about the case but bumping into people left and right won’t help you ” the judge advised Mara who did nothing but nod her head before she walked away.
“Everyone please settle down” the judge hit his gavel in the sounding block on his table as everyone took their seats.
Keren crossed her legs with her right leg on her left as a smirk crawled up on her face.
“What are you up to, Mara?” She shook her head slowly.
“Your honor if I may then I would also like to ask my client some questions” Mara said as she began to approach the accused who stood in the witness box.
“Oh no!! My pen!!” Mara lamented as she began to search herself looking for her pen.
She began to put her hands in her pocket to search for her pen but she couldn’t find it.
“Counsel please ask your questions because the court is running out of time” the judge urged Mara.
“I’m sorry your honor but I can’t because that pen had evidence to prove my clients innocence.
If you don’t mind I would like to make a small request. I want everyone here to be searched…I need to find my golden pen” Mara took a small bow.
The judge thought about it for a while before giving in to her request…some men in Black came in and began the search but her golden pen wasn’t found.
“I am sorry counsel but it seems that your pen didn’t enter this courtroom or maybe you dropped it somewhere outside the courtroom” the judge explained.
“Your honor please forgive my manners but everyone in the room has been searched but you…and you please let them search you” Mara said in a very calm and pleading voice.
“Counsel, are you accusing me of taking your pen?” The judge was angered.
“No my Lord…I can never but in the eyes of the law everybody is a suspect and so everyone should have a chance to prove their innocence.
“Okay” the judge agreed just to end the case.
He also was soon searched and then the pen was found in his pocket.
“But…you!” Mara acted very surprised.
“I didn’t take your pen.. I don’t know how it got into my pocket” the judge took the pen in his hand and handed it over to Mara with trembling hands.
“But the evidence is pointing towards you? As a matter of fact the stolen item is on you… Why would you take my pen?” Mara looked very surprised as to why a judge would take her pen
“That doesn’t mean that I took your pen” the judge tried to defend himself.
“Okay…I agree so you are saying that it got into your pocket somehow without your knowledge?” Mara tilted her head towards the right.
“Yes,” the judge replied.
Mara smiled to one side of her face as she waved the pen in the air.
“Your honor, somehow this pen managed to get into your pocket without your knowledge.
We are all forced to believe you are innocent because you are a judge and everyone knows you can never do such but take a look at my client here who is a nobody…no one knows him and of course no one believes him.
Don’t you think that someone must have planted the gun in his room without his notice?” Mara continued to speak and the judge was starting to see things from a different perspective.
