Sofia’s pov
I couldn’t believe my ears, nor could I believe my eyes.
Luca had given me a freaking yacht for a birthday gift.
As we walked up to the yacht, so did gasps keep falling past my lips. The interior of the yacht was so beautiful and I felt my jaw drop to the ground on spotting a table with two chairs and a bucket of champagne on it, with the lights around here being dimmed to give off a really intimate atmosphere.
I let out another sigh of surprise as I glanced around the interior of the yacht once again, while feeling my heart racing.
I couldn’t believe that I had been extremely bummed after thinking Luca had been taking me back home after it had seemed like the night had already been ruined before it even began, not knowing that Luca had other plans up his sleeves.
“You’re so sneaky.” I whispered against Luca’s chest when he tugged me into a loose hug, and he chuckled as he slowed pulled me out of the hug. He held out my seat for me and settled in before speaking.
“It was cute to see your pouting and being visibly disappointed while trying to reassure me that it was fine, when it cleared wasn’t.” Luca murmured as he opened the drink and poured out the drink.
“That was because it really wasn’t fine. I was looking forward to today for a long time!” I whined and Luca hummed while nodding.
“Yeah, and that’s why I wouldn’t dare letting anything ruin it. It’s why I took my time to plan this entire thing so well.” He said as he handed me my glass and I flashed him a grin as I took a sip of the drink.
“You’re doing such a fine job so far.” I hummed out while staring at him from beneath my eyelashes in a teasing voice. Luca snorted and held out his hand on the table.
“Oh yeah?” He mused and I nodded my head while poking my tongue into my cheek as I reached out to slip my hand into his.
“I aim to please, after all.” He murmured, hand closing around my fingers as his thumb stroked over my knuckles and resulting in the butterflies resuming their relentless flutters.
We talked some more, with Luca teasing me effortlessly and my cheeks flaming red in no time. When Luca left to take care of something, I wandered around and got to the open side of the yacht, taking in the beautiful sight of the ocean in the night and how the water was rippling beneath the moving yacht. The moon was out tonight and was bright, casting a beautiful hue over the ocean tonight.
I was still in the same spot, eyes taking in the beauty that was the ocean and the sky when Luca appeared behind me, his hands going to the banister at both sides of my body, which made me bracket me against the banister of the yacht, just as my heartbeat accelerated.
Luca’s lips slid over the curve of my shoulder and I exhaled slowly.
“How are you?” His voice was soft as he inquired and I glanced into the sky for a moment before responding.
“I’m very happy.” I paused and allowed my head to fall against the edge of his shoulders. “I’m as happy as the sea is right now.”
“That’s an unexpected comparison but I’ll take it.” Luca mused on a little chuckle, prompting a giggle out of me.
“I can’t accept this yacht though.” I blurted out after a little while, with my entire weight being supported by Luca’s unmoving body behind me.
One of Luca’s hands had moved off the banister to splay over my waist.
“Why the hell not?” Luca’s response vibrated against the skin of my throat since he had been pressing a soft kiss into my skin before I had spoke.
“Because, it’s a yacht.” I responded, right before Luca was turning me around to face him. The moon was being casted directly on his face right now, mskikg my heart race at how deliciously hot he looked right now.
“Do you not like yacht?” He asked and I giggled a little while laughing softly at the slightly worried and confused look on his face when he had asked that question.
“I do like the yacht. It’s a really really breath taking yacht.” I murmured, pointing out the obvious.
“Then why won’t you accept it?”
I shook my head a little and resched forward to tug Luca’s head down to press my lips against his, and when he captured my bottom lip in his mouth, a tremor wrecked through my entire body.
When the kiss got broken, the intensity which had been in Luca’s eyes as soon as I had stepped out of the house, seemed like it tripled in that moment, and his eyes were still trained on my lips, prompting another tremor to slide down my spine.
“I can’t accept it, because it’s a yacht. It’s too big, it’s too much.” I finally clarified, and when Luca finally understood what I had meant; he rolled his eyes and kissed my jaw for a moment.
“I don’t care if it’s too much. I’m giving you the freaking yacht and that’s that.” He murmured, hand tugging me closer to him even more, and even though I attempted to argue that the yacht was just too much, Luca didn’t take me seriously any longer.
When he led me back into the interior of a different room here in the yacht, past a swimming arena, past large rooms, all the way to another smaller one where a light looking snack was arranged in.
“Too excited to eat?” Luca asked when I was only picking at the fillers, but could barely sit still, and I nodded instantly with a guilty, sheepish grin on my face.
At that moment, the yacht slowed to a stop and Luca suggested that we take a walk.
I alighted the yacht, leaving my shoes behind and clutching Luca’s hand as we began to walk on the sand. I was feeling impossibly happy and as I kicked my feet through the sand while walking. I noted to myself that I wished tonight wouldn’t end.
As Luca and I continued to walk forward, I noticed something that made me freeze up.
It was tiny red flower petals, and as I followed its trail, I noticed that it led further into the night, and an excited screen of disbelief bubbled in my throat.
