“Everything you need is here,” Lileth said while packing my things. She put the suitcase in front of me and then left me and sat on the bed as if nothing had happened. She has been like that for a few days. She doesn’t seem to care about me but I just let her because when I find an opportunity I beat her to get revenge.
Today I am leaving for Thailand. I wanted her to come with me but we just argued and I just beat her until she fainted a few times but she still didn’t want to come with me. I also beat her last night and she fainted again because I forced her again but she really didn’t want to.
“Don’t do anything stupid while I’m gone.” She did not answer while just looking at her cellphone. “Should I lock you in our room and release you when I come?”
“What, are you crazy?” she asked and then just looked at me.
“Yes, because of your deception.”
“What if the house accidentally catches fire?”
“You will be roasted de Lileth.”
“Kill me now.”
“Why don’t you commit suicide? You’re the one who thinks it.” And again she didn’t talk to me and looked back at her cellphone. “What do you think, should I lock you?” But she still had no answer. “Answer me, dirty slut.”
“Hire a bodyguard for me so you can make sure I don’t do anything silly while you’re gone,”
“I already did,” and yes I am.
“Then what’s bothering you?”
“Your bitchness attitude.”
“OK,”
“Fuck. Talk to me before I leave. ”
“What do you need?” What do I really need? “Nothing right? so go.”
Before I left I took two guards here at home while I was away. I don’t trust this woman because I will also be gone for three days. What if while I am away she will bring a man here at home? So it would be better to have someone to watch over her.
“I will only be gone for three days so let yourself rest. Condition yourself for my re-beating. Don’t make the mistake of leaving me because wherever you go I will look for you. Remember, when I hear that you have a male visitor, I will kill you.”
“Even though I’m not doing anything.”
“You’re still answering.” Then I bit his head. “Instead of just being quiet.”
“When I’m quiet, you’re angry, when I answer, you’re still angry,” he whispered.
“What?” I touched his face and squeezed. “What did you say?”
“No, you’re late.” I let her go and then I took the suitcase. But before finally left and I looked at her first. When I came out the three helpers were outside. I told them that two bodyguards were coming to watch over them while I was away. I heard nothing from them.
I just waited for the bodyguards to arrive and warned that no one could enter the house even my family. They just go back and none of those insides can come out. No exemption, even my wife. When I made sure everything was in order, I left.
Headed to the airport my phone rang. It was dad reminding me about some important things. The amount he told me sounded like he doesn’t trust me. But I listened to all that. When I finished listening to him I threw the cellphone on the chair.
I smirked, when I attend a meeting they keep on telling me what to do. But if Dane’s the one —- he’s silent. I know what to do and no need to remind me what to do. It is clear that he trusted Dane more than me. Well, I am a second option by the way.
But even though, it doesn’t mean I will fail on this. I will do my best to prove that even if it wasn’t me the first choice I am good enough to handle everything. I will prove that a second or a first is the same. Dane isn’t the only one who’s great. Dane is not the only one to be trusted and even more so she is not the only one who knows. I did not say that I can do better than her, but I can be the same as her.
I’m not angry with her or jealous. Dane is a good sister to all of us. But somehow, as the eldest son, I should be the reliable one to my dad. I should be the one who’s on his side. The one he should be trusted more. But no, he trusted Dane amongst us. Not only am I a second child but a second option as well.
Not a big deal at first but as time went on and as we got older and became regular in Dy engineering I became insecure with Dane when it came to works. I feel like Dane is my greatest competitor. It’s hard to be the number one and trusted person when she is the opposite. I am always Dane’s shadow when it comes to work. I am unnoticed and always submissive.
Even if I do the most my best is just useless because Dane is still being followed and seen. Even if I pour my time Dane will still lift. I am fucking tired of being a second in everything.

“CONGRATS!” Everyone congratulated me. And now, I passed the proposal and get the investment. I know I can do it and I am proud of it.
“Thanks,” I shook hands with the investors one by one.
“You are good, A Dy is good in everything and you are not exempted.”
“Thank you.”
“Looking forward to working with you, again, congratulations.”
After talking to them I called dad to report what happened. He only said congrats and that’s it he ended the call. Simple as that, there is no praise or admiration, or any questions, unlike Dane that will say he will organize a party as a celebration. But I don’t care I’m used to it so not a big deal.
I go back to the hotel after talking to them. There is no sense in staying in the meeting place so I left as well. When I reached my pad I call the bodyguards only to receive bad news. They told me that Dylan is inside my house. They tried to block him but they just threatened that if they will not let him in they would lose their jobs and not be able to find anything anywhere else.
But if they will allow, he will call their company to promote them. They have no choice but to follow him not for the promotion but for fear of losing their job and I can’t blame them. Between the two of us, who am I compared to Dylan?
They told me they stays in the room. No one knows what happened to them there. When Dylan leaves Lileth doesn’t come out. But they said Dylan left with a smile on his lips. A lot of scenarios have been played on my thoughts. I want to fly back to Manila. I tried to call Lileth but she didn’t answer so I was even angrier.
She really doesn’t want to keep quiet. She does not want peace and quiet. She really wanted to be beaten. She will be ready for me when I come home because she will taste more than she expected. That woman really makes me angry.
I heard the doorbell of this unit ring. I didn’t expect anyone because I didn’t know anyone here. I did not bring someone from work and I came here alone. But I still went to open it to see who it was. I was shocked when I saw who was outside. I didn’t know why she was here and how she found me.
“Erika?” I gulp when I saw her outside the door.
“Hi,”
“What are you doing here?” I wondered. What is she doing here, and how did she know I am here?
“I have a meeting here, Isabelle mentioned that you are also here in Thailand and when I checked at your office your secretary told me where you were assigned and which hotel you stayed at.”
“I see.”
“Can I come in?” Although I hesitated I still opened the door.
“Come.” When she entered she looked around. I was still standing in the doorway and closing my eyes. This is wrong but I can’t drive her away either. “Coffee or tea?” I ask.
“You, I want you.” And she walks closer to me.
“Erika, please —-” I didn’t finish what I was about to say when she hugged me.
“Just today, Dave, give me a break. I want to give myself up and I want to give it to you.”
“But, Erika, I’m married.” I struggle to resist the temptation in front of me.
“I will not take you away from her. You still belong to her, just to me what I want.” She kisses me and put her hands on my nape. She kisses me passionately but I don’t move. Until she puts her hand inside my shirt.
Instability engulfed me as she tapped my mouth as caressed my chest so I resisted her kiss. And it even came back to my mind what Lileth had done to me as well as her meeting Dylan while I was away.
“Are you sure about this?”
“I am, Dave, own me.” I kiss her again and bring her to bed.
“Once I claim you, you will be mine, Erika. You can’t leave me because I will own you.”
“I am yours wholeheartedly.”
