Book:Burning with vengeance: The runaway heir Published:2024-6-4

After that incident and Richard making sure that he took care of the human organ traffickers, life continued as usual.
But what he wanted to deal with was the teacher who let Cassandra take Melvin away.
According to the school rules, only the people the parent had authorized could take a child out of the school gate.
Richard had authorized himself, Macy, Asher and her grandparents.
He knew that if Cash or May ever went to the school, they would be accompanying any of the people he had authorized.
So, how come that she allowed Cassandra to take the child?
Richard was a man who was very very patient.
Like a snake and a frog hunting each other, he could also wait.
But when he striked, he would make sure that the enemy felt it.
He thus pretended all was well and he returned the child to school and made sure that his instructions were understood.
He threatened the teacher that if that happens again, he would have the school closed.
It was a privately owned school but the family wasn’t as rich as the number one family of DC and the teacher knew that Richard’s wasn’t an empty threat.
Richard out people to follow that teacher and after one week when they were almost giving up Asher realized that a huge amount of money had entered the said madam’s bank. account.
It was clear that whoever had hired her was waiting for the heat to cool down and then pay her.
Asher was able to trace the account to one Mr Sanders of the Sanders and Sanders group.
That was the owner of the school where Mel went, Sanders Academy.
Why would he be targeting Richard? No idea.
Maybe business plans?
He didn’t know.
But now, he had a lead and since this was at home, he would deal with it himself but he had to be sure.
He thus had the teacher taken, not kidnapped because if she complied, he would let her go.
She was taken into his offices in DC town that everyone thought was a run down go down that no one hired anymore.
When the teacher saw who her kidnapper was, she flared up, “Mr Armstrong, I’m letting you know that what you are doing is a criminal offence,” and she began.
“Oh, you are telling me,” the man who rarely talked said sarcastically.
“And I am telling you that conspiring with others to have my daughter taken is an even worse criminal offense Because Ms, I am the authority in this city.
So, you better tell me what I want to know if you want to leave here alive,” I Richard told her in that deep monotone voice qitth a face that told her that he was the son of the devil if not the devil himself.
“I have no idea who you are talking about. And I demand that you release me before I call the police,” she tried and Richard just looked at her with that cold face.
“Last chance. Are you going to talk or not?” He asked again in a bored voice.
At that moment, Asher walked in all sweaty in a hurry.
“Ah, brother, how could you start without me? You aren’t a good person,” Asher said as she took a seat panting.
“Were you running?” I asked Richard aksed him.
“Yes. They know we are into them and they wanted to take me.
But Cash is onto them.
He will bring them here soon,” Ash said.
“Who allowed him to come back to work?” I asked Richard asked.
Cash had been wounded when people were trying to kidnap Mel and Richard had asked him to take a break.
He had even authorized his one year break and given him enough money.
“We can ask him together though I think he was coming to see you before he left,” Ash said and Richard seemed relived.
The teacher was looking at them as if they had lost their minds.
She was still here tied to a chair and they were talking as of they were having dinner.
“Is it done?” Richard asked.
“Yes,” Asher said as he opened his laptop and he smiled.
He started counting down from ten to one with his fingers as he looked at the teacher with a smile.
Unlike Richard, Asher dealt with his enemies with s smile on his face and people tended to think that he was the better of the Armstrong heirs because he always smiled.
At one, the teacher’s phone dinged showing that she had received a message.
She didn’t reach for it and Ash spoke to her.
“I would look at that if I were you,” he said and looked at the man who was standing behind her.
He produced a knife and cut the ropes that were holding her hands behind her.
She reached into her bag that had been placed at her feet and produced her phone.
She opened the message and then her face frowned.
“What’s this? I don’t authorize any…. what? Donations?” She asked in surprise.
“Yes. The Armstrong family has just opened a children’s cancer hospital that will treat children cancer patients for free. It will deal with the poor who cannot afford it from all over the world.
We need money for research machines, doctors and all.
You are a teacher. I’m sure you understand it,” Asher began.
” But I didn’t authorize any charity donations,” the teacher cut him.
“Oh, you didn’t?” I asked Asher feigned surprise and asked.
“Yes I didn’t,” she answered.
“But you see you did.
You set it such that every five minutes, a thousand dollars will be transferred from your account to the hospital’s account…,” as Asher spoke, there was another message and after opening it, the teacher stood up in surprise.
She was pushed back to her chair by the man standing behind her.
“Thank you for your donation to Melvin’s Cancer Children’s Center.
Your prayers and contributions towards this cause are highly appreciated.”
The message read.
Anothet one thousand dollars was gone just like that.
“No. No. No. I didn’t…” she lamented as she opened the bank app on her phone.
She tried calling the bank but her call wasn’t getting connected.
“I had not finished.
You see, we know that you received a million dollars from Sanders and Sanders and what we want to know is why?
Otherwise, we will make sure to take all that money, legally as you can see and leave you withiut a job because I promise you that by tomorrow, even Sanders Academy will be history,” Asher said now wearing a dark aura that the teacher had never seen since she knew him.
He would always frequent the school for activities when Richard wasn’t available and he was always jovial and played with the children and helped around.
Thw teacher sta down with a heavy sigh and kept quiet.
She seemed to think that she could wear them out with her silence.
They also sat and started talking about their own things.
Richard was asking Ash how Imperial House was doing and he was praising it.
Imperial House was the artists management house and movie production house ran by Asher.
It ranked number one every year in every category be it the best actors, singers, models and such.
It only housed the best of the best in the industry and Richard had suggested several times that Asher take Macy under his wings for a long time but Macy always refused.
She always said that she wasn’t good enough for the number one entertainment company.
She had promised Asher that she would join him if the current movie she was shooting did well.
Every five minutes, the teachers phone would ding and she would cry in pain.
“It’s okay teach,” Asher teased. “A million dollars is a lot of money.
Seems like we will be here for a while,” he said and turned to Richard and now, he was talking about a new singer he had just discovered.
“I was just browsing Tiktok as I always do just scouting around and I found him.
He was doing Bob Marley’s cover of No Woman No Cry and brother, it was heavenly.
It was the voice of an angel.
My managers agreed with me after they heard him and we are currently looking for him.
We already messaged him but he thinks it’s a scam and won’t tell us where he is from,” Asher lamented sadly.
“I thought you are a comohter geek? Just track him!” I Richard looked at him as if he was an idiot.
“You think I haven’t thought of it?
He will think we are bad people.
We have to trace him in an honest way,” Asher said.
“Then use May,” and Richard said.
“She’s busy with Macy and Mel.
She won’t leave them. She refused,” Asher held his chin sadly seemingly at the point of tears.
“Say, brother, when will you pay me for all the favors I do for you?
Remember De La Lucia? And now this…?” Asher tried.
“No. I won’t do it,” Richard said as he stood up.
“Brother…. please…..?” Asjer started nagging as he packed his bag putting the laptop in place.
“Let’s go. I will treat you for dinner as payment.
Call us when she runs out of money,” Richard told the guards as Asher followed him.
“Pretty please brother…”
“I will talk. I will talk please. Just stop the money transfer.”
