Book:Alpha’s Regret: Chasing My Rejected Mate Published:2024-6-4

As the morning dews began to fade, Conrad and his men stride toward the dungeon. it’s time to feed Freya with a taste of her own medicine, she is wrong if she thought that she was going to escape the punishment. Freya has already accepted her fate, knowing fully well that Sarah will come for her later. Conrad sits in front of her while the pack warriors arrange the types of equipment that will be used for her torture.
“Freya, I thought you were a better person. No wonder I felt odd around you despite the mate bond that messed with my head, your aura was still not acceptable to me. You were the least expected person I wanted to see involved in this madness, you chose to work with Sarah of all people.”
“Sarah is a good lady, she helped me in times of need and encouraged me when no one wanted me. I will never blame her for the things she did because she only wanted me to be happy and even if it cost us everything, I still don’t regret it.”
“We’ll say, Freya. I wonder if Sarah thinks the same way about you or will she be blaming you solely for ruining her plans?” Conrad mocks.
Freya remembers her conversation with Sarah the previous night, Sarah was mad at her and even promised to be back once the opportunity came to kill her. Freya is irritated to admit in her mind that Conrad might be right about judging Sarah, maybe Sarah deserves a hotter punishment.
“Even if she thinks so bad of me, I won’t deny that what we had built together was fantastic.”
“Fantastic? you almost ruined Regina’s face and you blamed it on Emily! Now Emily’s life is in danger all because of your stupidity!”
“Scold me all you like, Conrad. You never liked me since anyways.”
“For your punishment, Freya, you will be given a severe pain that must be instilled in your body. I pray to the moon goddess that you die from it.”
He nods at his men and they set to work, first, her fingers are chopped off. Freya screams as blood oozes from her wounds, the pain is indeed high. Next, they lash her with a rope smeared with wolfsbane, this poison is good enough to kill her slowly. A slow and painful death is what Conrad wants her to see, this way she’ll never harm anyone in her reincarnation.
As if that is not enough, Freya is forced to sit on an electric chair.
“We would have been a perfect match together, Conrad, but instead you chose that poke-nosing blonde. You ruined my life even in death, tell me why I should not lay a curse on you?” Freya says.
“Your curse is in vain because you are being punished for your wrongdoing, you can try it if you wish.”
As Freya opens her mouth to speak, Conrad presses the button and the energy electrifies Freya thoroughly. Each time she opens her mouth to say anything, Conrad will press the button and shut her up.
He does it continuously until Freya is too weak to say anything, they abandon her there to take in the pains alone. The sturdy footsteps of Sarah can be heard, and Freya immediately knows that she has come for her. The cell is already open because it’s morning, Sarah and Stefan enter boldly with their weapons.
“Sarah, listen to me, you don’t have to do this. You can change everything soon all we have to do is stop this madness, I believe that you are still good.”
“Yes, I don’t have to do this but I have someone that can. Freya, I promised you that I’ll come for you. I’m here now, surprise surprise,” Sarah grins.
Without wasting time, Stefan pierces his dagger into Freya’s weak skin. Freya falls flat to the ground, her wild eyes are shocked that Sarah truly meant what she said.
Sarah watches with satisfaction until Freya breathes her last breath, she exits with Stefan and they prepare themselves for their second attack – Katherine. She had called Stefan that she would be coming to visit that morning, Sarah had already told Stefan how the plan would go on.
Katherine comes in a few hours later, and Stefan pretends to be happy with her. Sarah has to stay hidden to avoid any suspicion from Katherine, after Stefan and Katherine are done talking, Katherine leaves.
She is unaware that Stefan and Sarah are following her behind, they get to the warehouse and watch as Katherine enters.
“It’s weird because this warehouse looks empty,” Sarah mutters.
“Should we go and check it out?” Stefan asks.
“Yes.”
They alight and tiptoe inside the warehouse, Stefan is shocked to see Katherine serving Emily some food. he misinterprets it that Katherine saved Emily and is nourishing her, he feels infuriated and betrayed by her.
“Katherine,” Stefan calls.
Katherine is shocked to see Stefan and one other woman here, she knows that it’s the end for her because she dropped her defense weapons at the pack house.
“Stefan, it’s not what you think…”
“It is what I see that I think, I saw you feeding that traitor in our midst. That equally makes you a traitor, you have betrayed me, Katherine.”
“Stefan, hold on. I can explain…”
Stefan smacks her face instead, he does not want to hear any more words from her.
“I should have known better than you were lying to me, you won’t give up your pack for me, you’ll fight me with your blood – they are all lies you told me earlier and you wanna know the truth, I hate lies!”
Without being told, Sarah grabs Katherine and kicks her in her face. Katherine falls to the ground, and Sarah grabs her neck and begins to choke her.
Right in front of Emily’s eyes, Katherine drops dead on the floor. She is untied and dragged by Stefan and Sarah into the car, Sarah cunningly smirks at her.
“I’ve finally found you, Emily.”
