The moment that everyone has been waiting for finally arrives – The bride competition. Ladies in the pack are excited and ready to compete for the position of the Luna, the whole pack is aware of the competition that is about to kick off. Although some people are not convinced about Jax finding a wife this way, some are happy that he has finally decided on getting a wife. Emily is still in disapproval of the decision, she believes that Jax might be making the mistake of his life by doing this.
However, she has no choice but to be one of the judges of the competition. Conrad, Bill, and Nox are also some of the judges who will compete too. Jax organized a small meeting before the competition was announced officially to start.
“I want us to make final decisions before kicking off the competition,” Jax informs them.
“It’s not like whatever we’re going to say now will change your mind about this,” Bill grunts.
Jax chuckles, “Are you still in disagreement about this?”
“Yes, I am. Getting a bride through a public competition is the most unsafe thing to do, you’re putting yourself and the whole pack at risk,” Bill scolds him lightly.
Jax looks at others for help, Nox clears his throat to speak.
“The competition might be helpful if we rub our heads together to make stronger decisions. In this way, we can fish out the ones who have the bad energy and crown the right one as the bride… see, no mistakes made,” Nox suggests.
Jax looks at Emily who simply stares at a space, she does not want to say anything because she totally agrees with Bill and if Jax still doesn’t want to listen to them, so be it. Jax sighs, knowing how his cousin felt about all of this.
“You don’t have to worry about me, Emily. I’m certain that this is not a mistake that I’m making, all I just want is your massive support and wise judgment on the matter,” Jax tells her.
Emily tears up, struggling to stop herself from crying out. She scolds herself for not supporting her cousin in his decision to get married, she should stand by his side and make sure he chooses the right bride.
Jax, seeing Emily’s sour face misinterprets it for what happened earlier at the festival with Louis. He blames himself for triggering such emotions in his cousin, he leans closer to her and hugs her tightly.
“Can we all stop acting like this bride competition is a sensitive topic for us? Fine, Alpha Jax, we’re going to support you massively in this and you can trust us to make wise choices for you,” Bill says.
Jax breaks his hug and stands to make his final decision on the matter.
“Guys, let’s do this.”
They all step out and begin the preliminary process of choosing the best candidates first, only ten young ladies between the ages of twenty to twenty-five are eligible for the competition. Jax accepted all backgrounds and ranks of candidates for the competition, he did not believe in looking down on the lower ranks. At long last, ten candidates were selected for the competition, they made their way into the pack house where they’ll be staying for ten days for the competition.
The judges sit at a round table while receiving each of them and at the same time, taking notes of other things like their attitude, manner of conduct, and appearance.
“Good morning, I’m Nuella.”
“Alright, Nuella, welcome. You are contestant number one,” Bill says.
“Thank you.”
They take note of their observations before the second person comes in.
“Hi, I’m Gold. My daddy is also a wealthy man in this pack.”
Emily holds herself from bursting out into laughter, the girl’s audacious voice is cracking her up.
“Gold, you are contestant number two. Enjoy your stay here,” Bill says sarcastically.
“I’ll make their lives a living hell if they overthrow me,” Gold threatens childishly before entering inside.
“Good morning, My name is Bella.”
“Hi, Bella. Nice to meet you, you’re contestant number three,” Bill says.
“Thanks.”
“Nox, over to you. You’ll handle the next three ladies,” Bill says to Nox.
“Hi, I’m Elsa.”
“Elsa, welcome to the bride competition. You’re contestant number four,” Nox tells her.
“Okay, can I get my servants to handle my things?” Elsa asks.
“Are you implying that the Alpha’s servants cannot handle your things?”
Elsa gulps, “I’m sorry I asked.”
“Good morning, I’m Maya.”
“Welcome to the bride competition, Maya. You are contestant number five.”
“I’m Regina, thank you for having me here,” she says flirtatiously.
“Regina, you are contestant number six,” Nox says. Regina winks at him and he stops himself in time from smiling back at her, remembering the fact that he is dating Sarah.
“Conrad, over to you. You’ll be handling the next two ladies.”
Conrad nods and waits for the next person to come.
“Hi, I’m Charlie.”
“Good morning, Charlie. You’re contestant number seven,” he says to her.
“Thank you,” she says.
“Good morning, my name is Anna.”
“Hello, Anna. Welcome to the bride competition, you are contestant number eight.”
“Thank you.”
“Babe, it’s over to you. You’ll handle the last two ladies,” Conrad says to Emily.
“Yes babe,” she blushes at his face.
“Good morning, my name is Natalie.”
“Hello, Natalie. You are contestant number nine.”
“Thank you.”
“Hello, I’m Sarah.”
Emily is stunned to see Sarah in the competition, even Nox is surprised to see his girlfriend competing for the position of the Luna. Does it mean that she did not value their relationship over all these years?
Sarah stands indifferently, although she is pissed off that Emily and Nox are part of the judges. This will give her a minimum chance to win this, she could handle Nox but Emily will prove harder to get rid of.
“Hi, Sarah. You’re number ten,” Emily says at last.
The ten candidates gather around to hear out the rules and regulations.
Bill begins, “Good morning, lovely ladies and candidates. We are the judges of this competition and you must know that you have to put in your best effort to impress us, if not you’ll be evicted from this competition. You all will be addressed by your numbers and note that breaching any of the rules stated in the rule book given to you will cause not only an eviction but also punishments. Do you understand?”
“Yes, judge.”
“You can have your rest now, tasks will start from tomorrow. Welcome and enjoy your stay here!”
From the security camera, Jax watches the candidates as they are dismissed. He looks at them and is surprised that he does not feel anything about the ladies he just saw, he doesn’t even feel interested. He lays down on his bed and sleeps off, his dreams which are being haunted by Iris resurfaces again.
“You can’t leave me alone because we are tied, Jax…” are the words he hears from her before jerking back up from his sleep.
