~Maya’s POV~
I checked my watch and saw that it was almost 10 p. m. I am worn out. M-City is a new destination for me; I’ve never been there before. The city is known to be the City of Gold. A playground for the Archers. Being Lady Archer comes with a price. What on earth did Zion make me wear? The soles of my feet are aching, the backs of my heels are throbbing, and those goddamn stilettos are torturing me to death. I turned my head and glanced at my husband. He was dozing. While he was sleeping, he had such a serene appearance. I looked across to the opposite side of the airplane and saw Lucas there. I gave him the signal, and he came running over immediately.
“I need some proper clothes to wear, Lucas.”
The man merely laughed at me and then informed me that he had brought what I had been wearing before. I walked into one of the rooms, and when I walked in, I noticed that my jeans and sneakers were sitting on a chair inside the room. But the bed was too inviting. I managed to get onto the bed, but before I could fall asleep, I had the nauseating sensation that I was about to throw up.
Holy shit!
Fortunately, I happened to spot a restroom and made my way in that direction. I proceeded to hurl all of the contents of my stomach onto the toilet. I was heaving and gagging all by myself as I attempted to soothe my uneasy stomach. After I had finished, I switched on the water in the sink’s faucet, and I made an attempt to wash my face and mouth with it. I felt abruptly frail. The first thing I did was start splashing water all over my face. Observing my reflection in the mirror. My body sags with relief as I step out of the restroom, only to be surprised by Zion, who has been standing there the whole time. Hell, I must have looked like a zombie. I couldn’t help but press my face against his, and the cretin was chuckling the whole time. He picked me up and planted kisses all over my body.
“Zion, stop.”
“I should stop, Lady Archer. Do you realize that you have just brought the biggest smile to my face and made me the happiest man in the world?”
“What on earth are you talking about, Zion Archer?”
He didn’t answer. Instead, he helped me lay down on the bed and warned me not to move about while I was there. He walked out and brought a bowl of soup with him when he returned.
“Zion, I can’t eat this. I’m sorry, I just need to rest.”
He didn’t push. After dozing off for an hour, we eventually awoke. He heated up the soup, and he immediately began feeding me. Because I was sweating profusely, I decided to take a shower before getting dressed in my jeans and sneakers. I exited the room and decided to seat a little distance from Zion. Don’t put the blame on me; my husband has an insatiable sexual appetite. Despite the fact that we were seated in different seats, Zion and I were facing each other the entire time. I regarded him as the jet soared over the sky.
The man was well aware of his own attractiveness, and he had no problem flaunting it. He was also aware that ladies salivated over him. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that Zion Archer was only interested in one particular woman. I, his wife. I have noticed that my husband has an attitude that can be summed up as “I’m sexy and I know it.” And holy hell, he had some sexy genes. It appeared as though he was aware that I was gazing at him because he suddenly threw one of his long, muscular legs on top of the other, with his right ankle resting on his left knee. The pants that he was wearing, your Highness! Hugged his rippling thighs. This man was dressed in all black, including a black shirt and black slacks, and he appeared to be dangerously hot. His left hand dug into the pocket of his black pants. The sight of Zion gave me goosebumps. I am thinking of the things this man has done to me. My spine began to tingle, and very immediately after that, I felt my body temperature drop. He then removed the left hand from his pocket and brushed his hair back.
“Why did you choose a seat so far away from me?” He inquired while rubbing his forehead. How can I let him know that I’m purposefully spacing myself apart from him since I anticipate that his hand will want to start touching me soon? I am not in the mood for sex or physical contact right now. I did not respond but fell asleep instead.
My eyes are greeted by the bright, burnt orange sunlight that streams in through the window. I give each of my eyes a few brief blinks. My eyes were hurting quite badly. After giving them a good scrub and opening them, I rolled around on the bed looking for my husband, who wasn’t in the bed with me. As I began to take in my surroundings, I noticed that the bed was monstrously large, much like the one in our house in J-city. I looked around and found a door that led to the restroom. I needed to purge my system. I couldn’t help but wonder whether or not this is what people mean when they talk about having morning sickness.
Wait a minute. Am I pregnant?
The thought of me being pregnant made me sick to my stomach. After taking a shower, I entered the walk-in closet. I saw a lot of clothes in my size. Without even having to ask, I immediately realized that those clothes belonged to me. I stepped outside the room and I was greeted by the workers.
“Good afternoon, Lady Archer.” Everyone that came over to welcome me did so with a smile on their face. The mansion was enormous, and there were a large number of people working therein.
“There you are. You look better today.” says an old man, more like the older version of my husband. He approached me, wrapped his arms around me, and said, “Oh my God, you look so much like her, princess.” Everyone is thrilled to see me, but there is one issue. I don’t know any of these people.
Just where the fuck is my husband? I yelled at the back of my head.
“Father, look at her; doesn’t she like your beautiful Chloe?” The man yelled while conversing with an elderly man who was reading a newspaper on the terrace.
“Oh my God, you must be Maya. I thought Zion would never find you. Look at you. You look just like Chloe. Elizabeth could have loved you.”
My God, I feel like screaming. Chloe, Elizabeth, and these two men have so much energy and I’m so frail. I feel like I’m about to pass out right now.
“Oh my, I thought this was a joke. She resembles Chloe a great deal, as Zee predicted.” The old woman immediately began sobbing. This is simply beyond my capabilities at this point. “Come here, let Grandma have a look at you,” she said. they have so much energy, and I am so frail.
I took a single step forward and the entire world went black. The last thing I heard was a woman yelling,
“Call the family doctor, little Lady Archer fainted!” that was the last voice I heard.
