Benjamin was stunned by what he heard. He looked at his wife who was looking at Catriona without sentiment. Benjamin gulped like he was feeling guilty for something.
He did something like that when she found out that Kristi married Alessandro. Is that considered cheating? For him, yes, but he thought that Kristi left him without even knowing the true reason.
Catriona’s lips shiver, she was dumbfounded by what Kristi said. She feels like Kristi was humiliating her even more. She thought that Kristi knew her plan from the very start.
Kristi chuckled but her laugh was cold like her stares. She smirked and turned her sexy back to the woman in front of her.
“I remembered, I have a meeting this time,” she said. She looked at Benjamin and raised her eyebrows.
“Relax. You should be guilty if you’re doing something nasty behind my back after we get married,” Kristi told her husband.
Benjamin gulped when he thought that Kristi was fierce even more. Her aura was full of ruthlessness and the desire in his body evolved even more.
Benjamin followed his wife. He didn’t even glance at the woman who was kneeling in front of him. He was amazed at his wife.
“Kristi,” Benjamin called his wife but the woman didn’t even look at him so he pouted his lips.
He quickly entered the driver’s seat and looked at his wife. He pulled her and gently grabbed her neck. He tasted her lips and sucked them without even thinking.
Kristi was stunned. She didn’t know how she would react after what Benjamin did to her.
“Why did you kiss me?”
“I’m your husband. I am the only one who has the right to kiss you,” Benjamin bluntly said. He looked away but his ears were red. He was embarrassed and he didn’t want Kristi to know it.
“Let me drive you to your company,” Benjamin said but he shook his head when he thought about his choice of words.
Thirty minutes passed when they reached their destination. Kristi went out in the car while Benjamin couldn’t believe that Kristi didn’t even give him a chance to behave like a gentleman. He went out in the car and decided to follow her.
Kristi didn’t even mind that Benjamin was following her. She sighed.
“Don’t you have important things that you need to manage today?” Kristi asked him. Benjamin pouted his mouth like a kid.
“I don’t have, our business was done competently. I’m not busy today,” Benjamin said.
“But I am busy today, why don’t you visit your company now?” Kristi snapped back. She rolled her eyes.
“Are you hiding something behind my back? Why don’t you want me to stay in your company today?” Benjamin feels something was wrong with how his wife acted. He feels like she was hiding something from him.
“Think, whatever you think. I know in myself that I’m not hiding something,” Kristi rolled her eyes again.
The secretary saw them.
“Madam, Mr. Antonio is here. He said he will wait for you in your office. He’s too persistent,” The secretary spoke.
Kristi calmed her nerves after hearing it but Benjamin was confused about what his best friend was doing in his wife’s office! He feels something was wrong, did Antonio know that they both married?
“Alright,” Kristi answered. Her voice was cold again. She looks at Benjamin with a lot of confusion and frustration at his good-looking face.
“Do you still want to stay in my office? Did you hear that your friend is in my office today?” she spoke to him. She wanted him to know that his friend kept hitting her. She wanted him to know Antonio’s true colors.
Benjamin’s face paled and looked at her using his a jealous look. He keeps remembering how Antonio and Kristi got close to each other.
“Are you having a relationship with Antonio?” Benjamin can’t stop himself to ask. He wanted to know the truth, he didn’t want to get jealous of a simple misunderstanding.
“If I’m in a relationship with him, why do I need to marry you?” Kristi can’t stop herself from being sarcastic. Does Benjamin use his brain to think?
“I’m just asking!” Benjamin defensively says. He walks toward her office and opens the door.
His gorgeous face was grim, he felt like he didn’t know Antonio after growing up together. He was sure that his friend kept hitting on his wife.
“Kristi-” Antonio stopped calling Kristi when he saw Benjamin’s grumpy face.
They both looked at each other like they were rivals. They stared at each other like no one was gonna stop them from punching each other.
“Antonio,” Kristi called his name. She looked at him without excitement. She elegantly walks toward her expensive table.
“I didn’t know that Benjamin would be going here,” Antonio says. Of course, he didn’t want Benjamin to know what he was doing. He wanted to chase Kristi without his knowledge.
“I was thankful in myself that I went here with Kristi,” Benjamin’s voice was too serious. He realizes his friend’s intentions are for his wife. He wanted to punch him.
“Oh, I thought you and Catriona were in the same house. That’s why I visit her,” Antonio playfully said, making Benjamin’s face darken.
Antonio told it like he was joking around but his words made Benjamin furious.
“Oh, where did the information come from? You make me shocked, Antonio. I don’t even know that you cherish talking about someone’s life,” Benjamin says sarcastically.
“Dude, don’t get me wrong. A lot of our friends talked about you and Catriona. Why are you mad at me?” Antonio was taken back, he didn’t want Benjamin to know his intentions.
“Ah, if you heard that our friends talk about my life then you should ask me first to clarify everything right?” Benjamin rebutted.
Antonio just smiled and looked at Kristi with desire in his eyes. He doesn’t care about his friend, all he cares about is his plans and Kristi.
“Kristi, you know I missed hanging out with you. You always decline my invitation,” Antonio acted like he was unhappy whenever Kristi declined his invitations. He wanted to know her, he didn’t care if she was married to his friend. All he cared about was his ambitions to get on top.
Kristi stopped herself to show disgust on her gorgeous face. She knew that Antonio had a thick face and didn’t even acknowledge her husband’s presence.
“I’m too busy, that’s why I always decline your invitation. Antonio, I have thousands of employees that I need to take care of,” Kristi reasoned.
Antonio’s smile widened. He accepts her reason because Kristi was the CEO of a big company! His desire grew big when he heard how Kristi was concerned for her employees.
“Woah! Of course, I understand you, Kristi. But I hope you still enjoy your youthful years,” Antonio sweetly said.
Benjamin’s eyes widened in disbelief. How dare his friend flirt with his wife in front of him! He can’t believe that Antonio dared to do that.
“Alright, I’ll leave, for now, maybe some other time you’ll accept my invitation,” Antonio added. He didn’t even glance at Benjamin, he went straight to the door and left them.
Benjamin looked at his wife with determination and decided to follow Antonio who was walking slowly to the elevator.
Kristi’s eyes darkened but she smirked when he saw Benjamin’s reaction to how his friend flirted with her. She shook her head and chuckled.
Benjamin followed Antonio who was waiting for him in the elevator. Their faces were glum and full of seriousness. After Benjamin entered the elevator, he faced his friend who was looking at their reflection.
“You dare to flirt with my wife, in front of me Antonio,” Benjamin started their conversation. He feels betrayed by what his friend did to him. He treated him like his brother in blood but Antonio decided to betray his trust and love for him.
