Daniel saw Benjamin’s confused look. He looked at him like he was reading him. He sighed, he knows now that Benjamin didn’t know how Kristi suffered.
His sister didn’t want Benjamin to regret himself or even blame himself.
“Benjamin, can you promise me one thing?” he asked him. Benjamin nodded his head in response.
“Don’t hurt Kristi. She looks strong outside but deep inside she is weak,” Daniel says. Benjamin didn’t understand everything.
“Daniel, don’t you know your sister very well? She’s stronger than me. I know her,” Benjamin told him.
Cassandra wanted to stop Daniel from saying anything.
“Daniel, I wanna go home,” she automatically changed the topic but Daniel wanted to tell Benjamin what he wanted to tell.
“You know her in the past, are you sure that she’s still the Kristi that you knew?” he raised a question again.
“What do you mean, Daniel? Are you telling me that she’s a clone now? She’s not the real Kristi that I knew?” Benjamin can’t believe his question.
It’s impossible that the Kristi that she married was fake.
“Where’s your brain? I’m not saying she’s a clone now. I’m saying that Kristi was not the Kristi you knew anymore. After all that she went through, she’s fragile,” he exclaimed. Benjamin purses his lips and doesn’t say anything.
“I won’t hurt her. I just wanted to know everything, I wanted to know why she left me when I needed her the most,” he whispered. He closed his eyes and the pain was evident in them.
“It’s not my story to tell. It’s Kristi,” Daniel answered.
Cassandra and Daniel decided to go home. Benjamin looked at his wife, who was sleeping on their bed.
“Why? Why did you leave me, Kristi?” he asked like maybe Kristi will hear him.
He looked at his wife’s phone and stared at the wallpaper.
The wallpaper was taken when Benjamin and Kristi decided to live together. They were both happy and wanted to build their family.
He thought everything was simple at that time. He looked at his wife and sighed.
Kristi had a dream, and she knows it’s part of her memories. It’s part of the memories that she wanted to forget.
She looked at her mother, Margaret holding a belt. She was a child at that time.
“Kristi, I told you that your emotion makes you weak! Why don’t you understand me? Why are you happy with your brother?” Margaret shouted like crazy and hit Kristi using the belt.
Kristi felt the pain in her body. But she keeps crying and pleads with her mother to stop hitting her.
“I want you to stop showing your emotions. You are the heir of the Velasquez company. And I want you to be more successful than me.” Margaret told her to hold her chin and slap her face.
She stopped her emotion. The more emotions she was exposed to, the more her mother would violently react.
Alessandro went near her and hugged her. She stopped herself from crying.
“Kristi, I’m sorry. I can’t stop your mother. It’s my fault,” Alessandro keeps saying sorry to her. She looked at her stepbrother.
“You don’t need to say sorry, It’s my fault,” she whispers.
“Your mother is not here today! Cry if you want to.” Alessandro told her and hugged her.
“I can’t Alessandro, promise me you won’t leave me,” she’s pleading with him. Alessandro nodded his head but she knew in reality that Alessandro left her.
Kristi woke up and she couldn’t stop the tears from coming out of her eyes. Her chest feels heavy at the thought of Alessandro.
“Alessandro, are you angry with me? You said you want me to be happy but you keep haunting me,” she whispers and cries in agony. She can’t fool herself anymore. She was not fine, and that’s the truth.
She sits on the floor and lets the heaviness of pain come out on her.
“Alessandro, I want to be happy but how?” she whispers again.
Benjamin heard a crying noise and went hurriedly to their bedroom. He watched how Kristi cried, he looked away.
His heart squeezed in sorrow.
He left Kristi alone in their bedroom because he heard her whispering her ex-husband’s name. He saw how Kristi cried while sleeping.
“Kristi, stop crying.” Benjamin walks near her and holds her chin. He felt weak when he saw Kristi’s emotionless eyes.
Is it normal when someone was crying but their eyes didn’t have any emotions? He feels something was wrong.
Is Daniel right all along? Is it true that he didn’t know Kristi anymore?
Kristi didn’t stop crying but her eyes didn’t have any emotions. Benjamin decided to leave Kristi, he can’t control the bitterness on his body.
Why does he need to fight with Alessandro’s memory?
He punched the wall and shouted in frustration. He accidentally glances at Kristi’s picture frame. He closed his eyes and remembered how he met her.
Benjamin that time was angry at Antonio because he was late. They decided to meet at the park and go to the basketball court near their town.
He stopped when he saw a beautiful lady. She has beautiful eyes and pink lips.
His mouth hung open at her appearance. A lady wears simple shorts and a blouse.
Benjamin knows his type but when he sees the beautiful lady, his standard is shattered.
The beautiful lady was walking but she was lost.
She keeps looking at the house. Benjamin feels his heart race. He touched his chest and was scared that maybe he had a heart attack.
He decided to talk to the attractive lady. She looked at him using her cold eyes.
“Are you lost?” He asked her but the lady shook her head. He sighed.
Maybe the lady thought he was a kidnapper?
“I’m not going to harm you, young lady. I will help you to find your house,” he said and smiled to make her uncomfortable. The lady turns her back on him. She feels uncomfortable with Benjamin.
“I’m Benjamin Bustamante,” he introduced himself and winked at her back.
“Stop talking to me. I don’t need your help, Mister Bustamante,” she coldly told him without even glancing at Benjamin.
Benjamin was amazed by her voice. It’s too cold but he loves it.
“But I want to help you, Miss Ice,” h playfully said. The lady looked at him. His heart was pumping like crazy. He can’t breathe.
“What do you call me? I’m not Miss Ice, Mister,” she replied. Benjamin thinks he was hypnotized by the lady in front of him.
“But I want to call you like that, I love how cold your eyes are,” he happily answers. The lady was shocked by his honesty.
“Stop flirting with me, Mister Benjamin,”
“I’m not a simple lady, who can fall into your trap,” she added. Benjamin smiled and felt amazed.
“I’m not flirting with you. I just wanted to help you, nothing more,” he defensively mumbled.
He pouted his mouth and he feels his cheeks numb because he feels embarrassed. He can’t believe himself, why is he acting like a woman now?
“I don’t need your help, stop following me,” she says, and turns her back on him.
“You can’t stop me, young lady! I decided to help you,” he smirked. The young lady looked at him again.
“Stop annoying me, Mister.” The tone of her voice sounds dominant and Benjamin enjoys it even more. He smiled at her and the young lady’s body stopped.
“Yeah, I’m a handsome man,” he said with full conviction. The lady shows her irritation on her pretty face.
“Alessandro is more handsome than you,” she said with a smirk. Benjamin gets jealous by hearing a man’s name in her lovely mouth.
“All right, maybe, your Alessandro will help you to find your house. Goodbye,” he says and leaves the young lady. He wanted to strangle his neck, why did he feel jealous easily?
“Wait, mister. Please help me,” the young lady shouted and he looked at her with a smile on his lips.
“I will help you, but first I want to know your name, Miss Ice,” He plays with her.
The lady sighed.
“I am Kristi. I am Kristi Velasquez,” the young lady answered. Benjamin tastes the victory in his heart.
He looked at the lady in front of him. He smiled.
Benjamin promised himself that he will meet her again and melt her icy heart.
“All right, I will help you now, Miss Ice,” he said with full confidence.
