“Tomorrow, I have to return to the city,” Alexander placed his phone on the table, massaging his temples. Tired from arguing with Robert.
Robert forced Alexander to go back today because there was an important meeting he couldn’t miss. Alexander knew that the meeting was scheduled well in advance and it was only natural that Robert couldn’t take over as he was the one required to attend it.
So, reluctantly, Alexander had to leave for the city before the planned time.
“Alex, are you okay? Headache?” Casandra asked, placing a warm drink in front of Alexander. He requested it shortly after they arrived home.
Therefore, Casandra hadn’t unpacked the shopping items yet.
“Robert asked me to go back so that I can attend the meeting tomorrow morning. That means I have to leave today. Will you stay here or come with me?” Alexander asked.
Honestly, he still wanted to stay there with Casandra for the number of days they had planned before their departure.
“If you decide not to come with me, I will return here after finishing my business. But if you come with me, it’s better for us to stay there, and we can supervise the house renovation from a distance, how about that?”
“It’s up to you, Lex. I’ll go along with whatever you think is best. If you think it’s better for me to come, then I’ll go with you,” explained Casandra, not wanting to make decisions on her own. She also didn’t want to force Alexander to come back here again considering they had limited time. They would return to the city in just two days.
Rather than making uncertain trips back and forth and having Alexander neglect his work, it might be better for Casandra to go back to the city. As a wife, she should accompany her husband wherever he goes, especially since Alexander was the type not to rely too much on house assistants for personal matters.
“Alright, then let’s pack up. We’ll go back today, and I’ll arrange for someone to keep an eye on you here, so don’t worry. Everything will go according to what we want,” he said, stroking Casandra’s long hair. “Let me help.”
Casandra shook her head. “No, Lex. Just sit here and wait. I’ll do the packing inside. Let me handle it so you can rest after the tiring trip to the market earlier.”
“Alright, then. Hurry up and pack so we won’t be late on the road.”
The news of their return was quickly conveyed by Alexander to his mother, so that Casandra wouldn’t have too much trouble handling everything there, like food and such.
Thus, Mery was the first to hear the news of their return, and she informed the house assistants working there to prepare some meals to welcome her beloved son and daughter-in-law’s return. Mery also wanted to have a small celebration, even if it was just a family dinner, to mark the official union of Alexander and Casandra as husband and wife. She also invited Robert and Frans, of course.
Unknown to Mery, the news reached Alexander’s house assistants, and, consequently, Cesilia. One of them was Cesilia’s informant, someone she paid to keep an eye on Casandra’s actions during her time as Alexander’s lawful wife.
Cesilia took a deep breath, feeling relieved because Alexander finally returned home. That meant she could watch over everything that Alexander and Casandra would do in the future.
Cesilia hurried to meet Maxime in his office to ask for a day off, as she had promised to Alexander before.
“I want to collect on your promise, Maxime,” Cesilia said as soon as she entered Maxime’s room.
Without any hesitation, she sat directly in front of his desk and conveyed her request. Maxime had promised to grant her one full day with Alexander if she was willing to fulfill his request.
And Cesilia had done just that, to the point of exhaustion during the photo shoot because Maxime had really pushed her to the limit.
“So soon?” Instead of granting her request, Maxime responded with a question when Cesilia reminded him of his promise.
“Yes, Alexander returned earlier than expected. That’s why I want to collect on your promise.”
Maxime nodded his head reluctantly. He wanted to refuse, but doing so would only upset Cesilia and make her rebel against him again. So, he had no choice but to nod, agreeing to Cesilia’s request.
“Since all your photo shoot schedules are finished for today, and you only have an afternoon shoot tomorrow, you can go home today. Your photo shoot for tomorrow will be postponed to the morning after. So, please be in this office at 7:00 AM so that all the photo shoots can be done as originally scheduled,” Maxime explained.
Cesilia was overjoyed and happy to get that permission. It was something she had longed for since signing that crazy contract with him.
“However, before you leave, there’s one condition you must fulfill.” Maxime spread his hands.
“What else? Haven’t I fulfilled all the conditions?” Cesilia protested.
“True, you have served me according to the conditions I showed you, but before you go to meet Alexander, I need to make sure of something. So, come here, my dear.” He patted his lap, asking Cesilia to move to the seat beside him.
“Don’t play games, Maxime.” Cesilia squinted her eyes.
“Do as I say, or not at all.” Still arrogant, Maxime insisted on having his way and threatened Cesilia.
The thing that the woman always avoided, Cesilia approached and reluctantly sat on Maxime’s lap.
“I need to make sure there will be no intimacy between you and Alexander when you’re at home,” Maxime said firmly.
“Maxime, please. He’s my husband. How can I not fulfill my duties as his wife? I…” Cesilia protested, but her words were interrupted as Maxime grabbed both of her hands, locking them in place so she couldn’t move.
Maxime quickly pulled down the dress Cecilia was wearing so that her upper body was exposed. It’s easy because the woman uses a cup that blends with the dress. “I have to leave some marks here as proof that you are mine.” Without being able to be prevented, Cecilia let Maxime leave some traces of redness on both of her supple mounds. His eyes were closed, he wanted to bang Maxime’s head against the edge of the table, which was made of glass. So that the man died on the spot and no one else interfered with his life. Look what the man is doing now. She had left so many red marks that there would be no reason for Cecilia to explain to Alexander where she got them from. Just a little bit Alexander saw of course her husband would know what he had been doing outside the house.
