“It looks good.” Hendrix Elliott didn’t even look back.
“What are you doing?” Pippa Evans saw Hendrix standing up and looked the other way without moving.
“You didn’t even look at it and said it looked good.”
It wasn’t until she went over that she understood the reason for Hendrix’s distraction. Hendrix saw Aubree Wilson.
“Aubree, is this your boyfriend?” Pippa sized up Sidney, clearly feeling overwhelmed by him, but still had to put on an act.
When Hendrix heard the words “boyfriend”, his eyes were fierce, and he just turned around and walked away.
When Pippa saw Hendrix’s action, she knew that she had said what Hendrix hated the most. However, she did it intentionally because she knew Hendrix’s feelings for Aubree. If it weren’t for Aubree, Pippa would have been Hendrix’s girlfriend by now.
Sidney had become completely impatient and called Steward Martin.
“Clear the place.” he was Indifferent, irritated.
“Uncle Sidney, don’t bother, I don’t want to stroll around anymore, I’ll just pick a few random pieces here.” Aubree didn’t want to upset Sidney with this kind of thing, so she went to pick out a few different styles of clothes.
And while she was picking out clothes, a text message from Sidney blacklisted Pippa from all Hudson’s businesses.
It was only after they had gone home that Aubree took the new clothes out and tried them on one by one, and each one looked perfect on her.
Sidney was sitting in the living room flipping through the newspaper, looking up at her from time to time with a smile on his lips.
When she was tired of trying them on, she laid down on the sofa and leaned on Sidney, then turned on the TV.
“Mr Robert’s education support activity has attracted the attention of society, and sending warmth to children in mountainous areas has become the hottest topic nowadays.” The reporter’s voice was heard on the TV.
Aubree looked at the person and felt that he looked familiar, but after thinking for a while she still couldn’t figure out who he looked like.
Aubree muttered, “This person is really kind.”
Sidney raised his eyes and put away his smile, “Never look at things only on the surface.”
“Uncle Sidney, you seem to have a strong opinion of this person, because of what?” Aubree recalled the last magazine that was thrown away.
“Some people are wolves wrapped in sheep’s hides.” There was hatred in his eyes, which then flickered away without being noticed.
Aubree felt that the man had nothing to do with him and didn’t bother to say anything more about him. Suddenly, she got in the mood for jokes and putting a smile on his face.
“Uncle Sidney, then what kind of wolf are you?”
“I never faked.”
“So you’re admitting you’re a wolf then?” Aubree was delighted that Sidney had fallen for her trap.
The corner of Sidney’s mouth was slightly pricked.
He was a wolf, a wolf who could not wait to gobble her up.
The next day, they flew to the UK on a private plane, so they were freer in terms of time, but it was good that Aubree didn’t wake up too late, so they left early.
“By the way, Uncle Sidney, whose wedding are we going to?” It was only when Aubree got on the plane that she remembered to ask the question, she was so engrossed in going to England for fun that the wedding became her secondary goal.
“You’ll know when you go.” Sidney didn’t seem to care much about the wedding, and the trip was merely a formal behaviour.
Sidney used to live in the UK but only returned to settle after adopting Aubree, so he still owned the house and car in the UK.
After getting off the plane, he took Aubree to his home in the UK.
However, when Aubree saw the castle-like buildings in front of her, she was surprised.
Although their home in China was large and imposing, it was not a third of the size of the one in the UK.
“Uncle Sidney… is this the home you lived in until you went back to China…” Aubree gulped, she couldn’t believe it on the outside, but in her heart, she was looking forward to living in it and then wearing a little English dress and having afternoon tea in the back garden.
It was fantastic to think about it.
“Knowing you like castles, I’ll take you to France next time.” When Sidney saw how intoxicated Aubree was, she was so lovely that Sidney really couldn’t help but want to offer her the best of everything.
Aubree cast a questioning glance, thinking she had misheard and was about to ask for clarification, but suddenly she was picked up by Sidney.
“Get some rest tonight. We have to get to the wedding there in the morning.”
Only Sidney understood that tomorrow would be a war without smoke, and he would be going to war, and so would Aubree.
