Aubree finished the shower and came out of the bathroom to see Sidney sleeping now.
Actually, Aubree appreciated Maia for what she had done. Without her, Aubree did not expect herself to have the night with Sidney.
She got on the bed quietly and lay by Sidney freely just like she was a child. They were close enough that Aubree could feel his body temperature.
When she was trying to cuddle Sidney who was sleepy to say, “Aubree, stop please. You are a big girl.”
Aubree was some of angry with him and moved off him on the bed.
Sidney smiled slightly and touched her head to please her. In fact, he knew for sure that Aubree just would like to sleep in his arms.
Aubree was too young to think much about them sleeping on a bed tonight. But Sidney himself was not so young.
He had to make himself clear what to do before Aubree.
If he failed, she would be greatly fearful by him.
In the next morning, Aubree got up to find Sidney was out. Now she still felt headache for being drunk last night.
Everly prepared some tea instead of milk to help Aubree feel better.
In the car, Aubree was memorizing some articles on the way to school. When she raised her head to look out, there was someone familiar to her. She turned back to look for him to know, he was not the one she thought.
Two years had passed. She was not sure whether Hendrix stopped hating her.
Now she was reading the word “hurt” that appeared at the right time.
The driver stopped the car to see the stunned Aubree. He said, “Miss. Wilson. We are here.”
Aubree did not think more. There were only several days before the examination. To keep living in the city and stay with Sidney, she had to get performance good enough to be admitted by the A University.
Pippa had already transferred to another school; nobody in her school dared to bully her. Even if somebody took a risk to do it, Riley would go to protect her. So, she enjoyed the two-year school life.
In the classroom, Riley sat behind her and asked, “Aubree, yesterday was your birthday?”
Aubree nodded and felt some of sorry to him. Riley was one of her friends but not invited to her birthday party.
He said, “You know, my mommy is too fond of you. She knew it was your birthday yesterday and went to buy a gift for you.” With saying it, Riley looked around to find everyone was reading their book, thus taking out the gift to Aubree now.
This was an amazing box wrapped carefully.
This was the first time for Aubree to accept a gift from the other one; she was too excited now. As Sidney arranged her daily life too well and gave her gifts so often, she could not be surprised by anything from him.
Riley said, “Would you like to open it to see what’s inside?”
Aubree was happy to open the box. There was a fantastic bracelet with stars.
She loved it very much and answered him gently, “Thank you, Riley. It was so nice. Please tell your mother it is really what I want!”
Riley saw Aubree preferred the gift and let his worry go. He continued to say, “My mommy said girls should receive a pair of high heels for eighteen years birthday. But I think they are too eye-catching for you. I asked her to buy the bracelet of which the stars wish your dream come true. Hope you can pass the examination and go to A University. Oh, besides, here is another gift from myself to you.” He got out another box.
Aubree had never expected her to accept two gifts from Riley and his family.
Now he was some of nervous and stopped talking more, just saying, “Please open it after home.”
Though much curious about it, Aubree agreed. Today she got back the happiness to accept a gift as normal people.
As soon as leaving the school on the car, she could not wait opening the box.
It was a simple necklace with the initial words of her name.
Aubree wore both necklace and bracelet.
When touching the words on her necklace, she mumbled a couple of times, “AW.”
The driver heard it to say, “Miss. Wilson, AW? What’s this? Every day lately, I listen to your reading in the car and improved much myself. It might be some short name?”
