“Don’t tell Uncle Sidney, I’ll just have a meal and go home.” Aubree blushed a little. She felt strange mentioning Uncle Sidney in front of Hendrix Elliott.
Aubree had always been spoiled by Sidney, and no one dares to disobey her, the driver was worried and left helplessly.
As soon as the driver left, she realized that it was going to rain, so she felt scared. Since she had promised to have dinner with Hendrix, she had no choice but to go with him.
The first thing he did was to grab Aubree’s hand and run down to the security booth.
When Hendrix held her hands, her mind went blank, and she ran after him.
Suddenly, he took off his school uniform and held it up to shelter Aubree from the rain. He drenched himself, but still smiling as if all this was just playtime for him.
Aubree was startled, her heart was pounding, and she instinctively avoided Hendrix’s gaze that did not hide his thoughts.
They got into a taxi, but it was a little late, and it would take a long time to go from school to downtown. It was the first time Aubree went out with a guy, and he was someone she barely knew. She started to regret it as the sky darkened, and the rain got heavier.
“Aubree, who is the Uncle Sidney that the driver just mentioned?” It was the first time that Hendrix was chasing after this type of good girl, and he had no experience, so he could only think of this to ask.
“Uncle Sidney is Uncle Sidney.” Aubree didn’t like people talking about Sidney Hudson.
Hendrix was deflated, but instead of taking it to heart, he laughed. He always thought Aubree was a good student in the eyes of her teachers and a “neighbour’s child” in the eyes of other parents, but after a few days of interaction, he realized that she was not so alike as what he had thought.
“Hendrix, is this the way to downtown? Why does it feel like it’s getting further away?” Aubree was like a child who had left the house for the first time and was afraid of the unknown.
Hendrix looked and saw that something wasn’t right.
“Sir, are you on the way to the city? Aren’t you going the other way?”
Instead of answering, the driver sped up the car.
It was only then that Hendrix realized that the driver was really going the other way when the taxi driver took them further into the suburbs.
“Shit! How dare you ruin my plan!” Hendrix got annoyed when the driver ruined a dinner date with Aubree.
“Stop the car!” Hendrix stretched out his arms and strangled the driver, “You dare to kidnaped me. Do you know who I am?”
The driver was strangled. His body seemed to be shaking and he couldn’t breathe. His face was red. When he was struggling, the steering wheel was also turning wildly.
Aubree had never seen such a scene before, she had been very well protected by Sidney, and had never gone out on her own, so she looked at what was happening in front of her with fear!
The car braked abruptly, and Aubree’s head hit the front seat straight on, she was sobered suddenly. She secretly took out her cell phone and dialled Sidney’s number. Looking at the cell phone screen all the time in ‘on-call’, Aubree’s body trembled with nervousness and cold sweat.
All of a sudden, a group of middle-aged men came around the car. When they saw Aubree from the car window, they all smiled wickedly and whispered.
Aubree put her phone in her pocket and clenched it. She was wary of what was happening.
“Don’t be afraid. I’ll protect you!” Hendrix didn’t think that so many people would show up, but he was good at fighting, and he was not afraid of them. He brought out Aubree, so no matter what, he couldn’t let her get hurt.
When the car door was opened, they pulled Aubree out of the car. Aubree couldn’t avoid it and fell on the floor. The muddy rain swept over her body in an instant!
“Aubree!” When Hendrix saw that, he immediately got down the car to snatch Aubree back, but he was beaten to the ground instead by them. Although Hendrix was good at fighting, they were holding bats, and he eventually collapsed when he got hit by it. Hendrix couldn’t do anything about it while watching Aubree being taken away.
Aubree was dragged into a nearby factory and thrown onto the concrete floor, gritting her teeth and clenching her phone in her pocket without making a sound.
She suddenly remembered seeing her mother tortured to death when she was a child and realized that if she wanted to live, she had to rely on herself. She knew that no one would step forward at the moment of danger, only someone would cheer and shout to make the torture a little more violent.
Hendrix was also brought in, tied to a chair, with blood streaming from his forehead, which caught the eye of Aubree.
The moment Aubree looked at Hendrix, her hair was pulled up by someone, and she moaned instinctively, the pain of the tearing almost brought tears to her eyes. She was on her knees, and the person locked her by the waist with his legs, she was unable to move at all.
