Jacen’s POV:
Noah charged forward in a blink of an eye. That’s when I heard a lot of noise outside the room. All the prisoners are escaping at the same time. We can leave the academy while mingling with the others.
” Ahhh,” I heard a girl’s scream in the disastrous prison. Amelia got shot. Dammit.
” Oh my god, Amelia,” Noah shouted and headed towards Amelia, leaving Kassidy alone. Okay. The situation gets worse. She’s shot at her hand and she can’t heal like us.
” We need to leave the Academy,” I told Kassidy as I untied her in a hurry.
” What? Where’s the Queen? I am not leaving,” she refused as she struggled to walk on her feet.
” It’s not the right time to discuss this,” I yelled as she leaned on me for balance. She can barely walk. How are we going to escape from here?
” Don’t let them leave. Call Dorothy now,” Pamela ordered in a desperate situation. She can rather die. I hope we get out and she dies here. She doesn’t deserve this life. Before the bodyguards stopped us, we mingled with the other prisoners. We helped them. Now it seems like they are helping us with or without knowingly. My brother and I helped Kassidy and Amelia as we ran out of prison.
” What are we gonna do now? Dorothy won’t let us escape,” Amelia whispered, holding her bleeding hands.
” Let’s not waste thinking about it. Getting out is our only option,” Noah said as we took the stairs to reach the first floor. I can hear many footsteps behind us. But we didn’t stop a single moment to turn back. Within minutes, we are out of the Academy. I am out of the place where I wanted to get in so badly. It’s so dark outside. It’s 2 pm right now.
I started in the dark sky. I felt this cold weather after a long time.
” Oh my… my hands hurt like a bitch. I can’t take it anymore,” Amelia complained, holding on to her hands.
” One last chance. Time to steal a car,” Noah muttered under his breath, looking at the parking space. There are many cars and fewer people who are leaving the Academy in a calm state of mind. They can’t be calm anymore.
” Good job, bro,” I uttered as we headed to the direction. I can hear the warning sounds of the bodyguards who still didn’t give up on catching us. Now, who’s going to be the bait. Anyone with a brand new car. I spotted a man in forties in a full black suit.
” Give the keys and get the fuck out of here,” I shouted without looking at his eyes. I didn’t use the compulsion. Who cares?
” What the… Who the hell are you?” he shouted back in his rough voice.
” Why do you care? Buy a new one. You won’t get it back,” I said opening the door.
” Security, Get them,” he yelled again without knowing they are already after us.
” Jacen, Dorothy’s here,” Kassidy pulled my arm in a shock. I looked back to see her and Cassie. It’s funny to look at their faces when they are running after us.
” So what? Get in the car. Fast,” I urged everyone. Amelia and Kassidy took their seat. Before Noah can make it inside the car, the same man grabbed his shirt and shouted at him.
” Get the hell out of my car, thieves,”
” Get your hands off my brother or I will shoot you right now,” I pointed the gun directly at his head. He slowly raised his hands and his hands started trembling.
” Cool. Now hand over the gun, bro,” Noah asked, showing his hands. I handed it without asking any further question. Unexpectedly, Noah handed the gun to the man. What the fuck?
” If anyone tried to stop us from leaving, you need to shoot them. You are going to shoot them. No matter whoever it is,” he instructed the man through he’s a compulsion.
” Start the engine,” Noah told me after he got inside safely.
” Close the gates, Guards,” I heard Dorothy’s strong and loud voice from the distance. Suddenly, the guards started to move by itself.
” Dorothy’s doing it. Just drive the car. We need to make it in time,” Amelia nervously said from the backseat. I started driving with my eyes straight on the view outside the gates. I need to make it out of here. I drove off in full speed. The next moment, I heard glass breaking noise.
” Heads down everyone. Don’t you dare stop the car, Jacen,” Amelia shouted as the bullet broke all the glass windows.
” I won’t,” with a short gap, I drove the car out, passing the entrance gate.
” Are they following us?” Noah asked, looking out of the window.
” No. We are out of reach. For now,” Amelia let out a sign in relief.
” Yeah. Now could anyone tell me why we left the Academy? Where’s Victoria and Peter? Why are you taking me with you?” Kassidy shouted in anger instead of thanking us for saving her life.
” I will explain. But first, get me a cloth. I need to stop the blood from my hands. It hurts like a bitch. Didn’t I told you that already?” Amelia shouted.
” Yeah. I will help you with that. But please explain it to me. I can’t take it anymore,”
” We left the Academy because Victoria wanted us to do it. We are going heading to my house. You are going to help us find another portal to enter the hell. Is it enough?” Noah yelled with irritation.
” What about the Queen? Where is she? She’s not safe in the Academy,”
” She can take care of herself. Stop asking nonsense questions. Don’t make me regret saving you,” I snapped and silence followed after I spoke. Did Kassidy got hurt by my words? I looked at my brother who’s looking back with his jaw open.
” What’s wrong?”
” Everything’s wrong. Dorothy’s following us,” he replied and I looked at the rearview mirror. That bitch is behind our car. I pressed the gas pedal and increased speed.
” Stop it, Jacen. Red signal,” Kassidy warned me instantly. Oh no, I can’t stop now. Let’s break the rules. The car is already damaged. I am going to bring further damage to it.
” Everyone don’t freak out because I am not going to slow down,”
