CHAPTER-13

Book:Queen of Hell Published:2024-5-28

Jacen’s POV:
The bodyguard blankly stared at me as he’s hypnotized. Noah compelled the other bodyguard. The next moment we entered the prison, glancing at many cells.
” Is it a place to study or what? Why there are many prisoners? I don’t think they are all guilty,” Noah complained while looking at every starving and pale face.
” Dorothy may have kept these innocent persons here in the cell. But why did Victoria allowed to have a prison in the Academy?” I questioned like the fault lies on Sydney’s mother.
” Victoria must have had this place for Dorothy and Pamela like bitches. It’s not the Queen’s fault, Jacen,” Amelia said as we walked down the long hallway.
” Please get us out,” someone spoke in a whisper. We three turned to see a man. He looked so thin. He must not have eaten anything for days.
” Why are you all being kept here?” Amelia asked a question, keeping a hand on the rusted cell bar.
” We did nothing. Most of us are bodyguards. We refused to act on any Dorothy’s order. She’s ready to kill anyone who’s refusing to do whatever she says. She will execute anyone who supports the Queen,” he still said everything in a whisper. I don’t know how many days he’s been in the cell. Amelia tried not to give a pitying look on her face. But she can’t control herself.
” Where’s the key to open the cell?” Amelia uttered those words. What?
” What are you saying? We can’t release him. Then all others will ask us to help them. We don’t have that much time. We need to save Kassidy,” I remembered her. We can’t save everyone. That’s not possible.
” I am going to help them all. Tell me, where are the keys?” she said determinately without looking at my mad face.
” It’s with the bodyguard in the entrance. Please help us. I saw you three get inside with ease. Please get us out,” he pleaded. Amelia and Noah looked at me at the same time.
” Fine. Let’s get everyone out. I will get the key. You both go and find Kassidy,” I ordered and made my way back to the entrance. They are acting like we have unlimited time to save Sydney.
I walked right over to the two bodyguards who forgot that that three students entered the cell without their knowledge.
” Hello there. How are you doing?” I patted one of the bodyguard’s shoulders, giving him a small smile.
” How… how… did you escaped from…” he stammered.
” Me… I didn’t escape. You are the one who let me in. How can you forgot that?” I asked as I looked at both of them calmly.
” Handcuff him,” the other one said in his rough voice. He tried to catch me. But before he did, I spotted the keys in his pocket. I moved faster by snatching the keys away in a flash of seconds.
” Knock him out,” I compelled the one from whom I stole the keys. He knocked the other bodyguard just like that.
” You are going to forget that you are working for Dorothy and head outside the Academy and never get it again,” I ordered again to him as he nodded and ran away. Now I got rid of two bodyguards. I spun all the keys with my finger.
” Jacen, Kassidy in there inside a room. She’s going to be executed to death right now,” Noah shouted from a distance.
” Dammit. I told you so,” I replied in frustration.
” Take the keys and get the hell out of here,” I told the man as I threw the keys inside his cell. He gratefully took it and started unlocking his prison cell.
” Where is Kassidy?” I asked Noah and searched for Amelia. She’s not here too.
” Follow me. I hope we get there in time. Kassidy will get shot at any moment,” Noah said as he leads me to the end of the hallway. We both slammed the door open. Amelia is standing in the edge with her hands above her head. A man is pointing his gun at the direction where Kassidy is tied up. She looks like she has beaten up so badly. There are three to four bodyguards. Then I spotted Pamela. The person I never wanted to see again or I wanted to see her ending up dead.
” Shoot them if they take one more step,” she ordered the bodyguards. All the guns are pointed at us, leaving Kassidy alone. That’s one good thing. But I don’t need to be afraid. This gun is not going to kill me. There’s no reason to be afraid.
” Shoot us. I don’t care. It’s not going to kill me,” I said, taking another step.
” Stop, Jacen,” Noah warned me, pushing me back.
” We won’t die. What if they shoot Amelia? We can’t risk her life.” I am an idiot. Why am I forgetting about others life?
” You are in time, Jacen. But this girl is going to die. You can’t do anything to stop this,” Pamela said, taking another gun from behind her back.
” I am glad to kill this girl like how I killed Lydia,” she smirked as we did nothing but standing helplessly. But I have a plan too. Unexpected plan.
” Kill her. Do it now,” I said it out loud as my Amelia and my brother looked at me in shock. Kassidy tightly closed her eyes, waiting for her life to end.
” Oh, wow. Didn’t see that coming. Let’s finish it now,” Pamela said without knowing that I got a gun before compelling the bodyguard to leave the Academy. Before Pamela pulled the trigger, I pulled the trigger. I pointed my gun straight at her. She didn’t dodge from the bullet. She doesn’t expect that her niece will be born ready to kill her. The bullet hit straight at her heart. There’s a lot of blood on her dress as she dropped the gun down. Everyone’s attention’s on Pamela.
” Noah, hurry, get Kassidy,”
