As they talked, Penelope’s heart was in turmoil. Suddenly, her phone rang. She saw it was a call from Daisy and immediately pressed the end call button.
“Why didn’t you answer it?” Warren looked at her with suspicion.
“It’s just a persistent insurance sales call. Very annoying,” Penelope said, dismissing it with a wave of her hand.
“Have you eaten lunch yet?” He leaned down and kissed her lips.
He probably noticed the food on the table, prompting the question.
She nodded. “Not yet…”
“Let’s go.” He helped her up.
“Where to?” she asked.
“I’m treating you to a nice meal,” he replied. The better Warren treated her, the more she wanted to kill Ross instantly.
Damn! Can she kill Ross tonight? Then she could marry Warren as a widow!
He gently patted her face and asked, “What’s on your mind?”
Penelope paused for a moment, then smiled. “I was just thinking about what to eat.”
Warren hid his smile slightly. If he hadn’t noticed her distraction at this moment, he wouldn’t be the “Mr. Duncan.”
“You can have anything you want, even me…” He leaned down to kiss her forehead, his eyes twinkling.
Penelope’s cheeks turned red. She blushed and held his hand tightly.
He chuckled and led her to the car.

Daisy sat in the cafe, feeling upset, holding her phone.
Penelope invited her out but then hung up on her. They were definitely sisters!
“Miss, can I take your order?” the waiter asked her, smiling politely.
Daisy grabbed her purse and stood up with a stern expression. “No, thanks.”
The waiter watched her gracefully walk away in her high heels, her back looking enchanting. It should have been a beautiful sight… But why did he feel like the floor was about to break, and there was something intense radiating from her?

In a dimly lit, luxurious restaurant, a violin played a melodious tune as couples whispered sweetly and occasionally exchanged kisses.
Penelope felt uncomfortable, not because she was too conservative but because the couple at the nearby table was being overly bold.
She noticed the woman had taken off her high heels and rested her feet on the man’s crotch.
Warren finished a call and saw Penelope’s flushed cheeks and evasive eyes. He immediately knew what had caught her attention.
They sat facing each other, and when Penelope tried to whisper to him, she had to strain her neck, making it difficult.
“Look at the lady’s feet on the left and then on the right…” She pointed it out to Warren.
Warren glanced at the left and understood, then shifted his attention to the right.
“What’s going on on the right?” Warren furrowed his brow.
Penelope quickly explained, “I just saw the man put his tongue in…” She covered her face with a napkin like she had witnessed something scandalous.
Warren couldn’t help but laugh. He held her hand and said, “Don’t you often do this?”
Penelope clenched her teeth. “I do that at home, in private. It’s different… I’m not an exhibitionist.”
In the restaurant’s lighting, she looked stunning, her eyes sharp like a blue snake, slipping into his heart like a sly charmer.
“Are you finished eating? Let’s head back.” He held her hand with a meaningful look.
Penelope couldn’t take it anymore. She put down her napkin and stood up, about to move forward, but he pulled her into his arms.
“Are you a lone wolf?” He couldn’t help but ask.
Many times, after finishing her meal, she would leave immediately without waiting for him. She didn’t act like other girls who would cuddle up to their boyfriends.
Penelope paused for a moment, then held his hand and smiled. “I’m sorry. I’ll get used to it.”
“Silly girl!” He reached out and gently tapped her head.
Penelope tapped him back, retorting quickly, “Please don’t tap me. I promise not to do it and won’t do it again.”
She didn’t enjoy being overly affectionate with her boyfriend, feeling like she was reciting a pledge to her parents. He sighed, thinking that no one could be more reserved than her.
‘Forget it, just take it easy,’ he muttered to himself.

As for Daisy, she was so angry that she skipped dinner. After taking a bath, she managed to calm down a little.
Daisy put on a silk robe and sat on the sofa, watching TV. She had a remote control in one hand and a glass of red wine in the other. Her wet hair made her look charming under the dim light.
There was noise at the gate, and the servants sprang into action.
Jason King, Ross’s father, had just finished a business project and returned home. He was fifty this year, but his face had only a few wrinkles, and he stood at six feet tall. Staying in good shape gave him distinct muscles, making him appear more powerful than others when he wore a suit. The only sign of his age might be the few white hairs on his head.
Daisy didn’t move. She held her red wine glass, lost in thought.
Then, Jason kissed her lips and nuzzled her neck, causing her nightgown to slip slightly off her shoulder.
“Leave me alone. I’m annoyed,” Daisy said, taking a sip of red wine and closing her eyes.
Jason smiled, took off his coat, and tossed it aside. The servants promptly took care of his luggage and swiftly retreated, avoiding any potential trouble.
“What’s bothering you? What kind of problems have you encountered?” Jason sat on the sofa, wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her close.
“Your baby son, Ross! He always interrupts my business…” Daisy reached out and playfully wrapped his tie around his neck. Her voice was soft and sweet, like a gentle breeze on his heart, making Jason very excited.
“What’s happened with him now?” Jason playfully whispered, licking her ear and eventually giving it a little nibble.
The sudden pain made Daisy gasp. She turned over and exclaimed, “I’ve told you so many times not to bite me! You just never remember!”
Jason wasn’t upset at all; he chuckled heartily. “I can see you’re in a bad mood, so I thought I’d tease you. Feeling better now?”
“Much better!” Daisy sat up and pulled on her robe. “Tell your son that if he keeps causing me trouble, I’ll put a bag over his head and give him a good beating!”
