Warren was wearing a black suit, sitting opposite her. He was so handsome that he effortlessly attracted the attention of most women in the restaurant.
Penelope looked at the environment of the restaurant and said to him, “I have wanted to have dinner here for a long time.”
“I thought you chose this restaurant at random.”
Penelope smiled embarrassedly and explained, “I didn’t deliberately choose a luxury one. I was just really… curious.”
With her economic conditions, she couldn’t afford dinner in this restaurant.
He lifted his chin up and said, “It’s okay. Just order whatever you want.”
“Thanks,” Penelope said as she opened the menu with a smile.
Halfway through the meal, Penelope shifted her attention from the food to the resident singer in the restaurant.
The singer, dressed in a suit, was closing his eyes and holding a microphone. He hummed and immersed himself in his own world.
Penelope gently followed his tune, although she had never heard this song. After singing half of it, she could keep up with the rhythm.
Warren looked at her with not only curiosity and tenderness but also exploration and love.
What kind of woman was she?
She could be in the dust or in the clouds. No matter where she was, she could integrate with everything around her, making others feel like she had always been there.
After a song was finished, all the customers immediately got involved in their respective topics except her, who applauded at the proper time.
Because they were sitting near the table, her intoxication and appreciation fell into the eyes of the singer. He handed her the song list with a smile, inviting her to choose the next song.
“Me?” Penelope was a little surprised.
“Yes, you,” the singer said with a smile.
Penelope turned to look at him and said excitedly, “He asked me to choose. I’m so honored.”
He said, “Your singing is as beautiful as his.”
“Really?” Penelope flipped over the song list with a smile. She looked up at Warren and then quickly lowered her head to hide her smile.
“Yes.”
Penelope flipped through the song list and then returned to the first page. She pointed to the song title and said, “I want this one.”
He glanced at it and said, “I can sing this too.”
“Do you want to sing for me?” Penelope’s eyes lit up like a multi-watt light bulb, twinkling.
He had only said that he could sing, but he didn’t want to display it in public. Penelope’s words left him stunned.
“Your voice is so nice, and your singing must be very good,” Penelope praised him as if he really would appear on stage.
“When we go back, I can sing for you,” Warren coughed, looking around. People seemed to be very quiet.
“It sounds better here,” Penelope said as if she had turned off her radar for recognizing expressions, pretending not to see the embarrassment and reluctance on his face.
The singer came to retrieve the list. Penelope said with a smile, “My boyfriend will sing for me. Can you make him sing?”
The singer looked at the well-dressed man a little unbelievably. “Are you sure?”
Penelope turned her eyes to him. “Will you?”
His scalp began to tingle. He didn’t have experience singing on such occasions.
The singer had seen lots of similar scenes. He smiled and tried to thaw the atmosphere. “I probably sing better than your boyfriend. Why don’t you continue to enjoy it?”
Penelope chuckled with apparent disappointment. “Okay.”
Looking at her reaction, Warren swiftly stood up, feeling somewhat helpless, and said, “Only this time.”
“Great!” Penelope was excited, seeming to predict that he would compromise.
It was the first time for Warren to sing in such a place. Fortunately, he was singing for the one he liked. In this case, it didn’t feel too crazy.
“The Way You Look Tonight, thank you.”
He nodded to the accompaniment.
Penelope put her phone down and looked seriously at the stage.
Whether or not he would belong to her in the future, the moment of him singing this song was truly only for her.
As she thought about it, she felt absolutely excited, and goosebumps covered her entire body.
Some days when I’m awfully low
When the world is cold
I will feel a glow just thinking of you
And the way you look tonight
Yes, you’re lovely with your smile so warm
And your cheeks are so soft
There is nothing for me but to love you
And the way you look tonight
With each word, your tenderness grows
Tearing my fear apart
And that laugh wrinkles your nose
Touches my foolish heart
Lovely, never ever change
Keep that breathless charm
Won’t you please arrange it
Cause I love you just the way you look tonight.

Penelope’s eyes had been fixated on him. She didn’t notice the guests in the restaurant slowly moving their heads along to his low voice.
His suit jacket was placed on the back of his chair. He was only wearing a white shirt and black pants on the stage. Even the most common combination showed his glamor.
With one hand in his pocket, he held the microphone with the other hand. His pose was casual and calm, unlike a man who had never sung in public.
Penelope finally believed that some people were born to be the focus of the crowd. No matter how many dozens of people, hundreds of people, or thousands of people watched him, for him, it was just a breeze that was casually passed by. It didn’t influence him at all.
The last time she had been on the stage. He had been in the audience. She had sung with her eyes closed, and her heart had been full of him.
This time, she was in the audience. He was on the stage. He looked at her and never looked away.
He was so attractive.
She stood up suddenly and walked onto the stage under the gaze of all the dining guests, giving him a deep kiss.
This was her man, always the best.
The whistles sounded from the audience. Warren hugged her and deepened the kiss.
The light hit them like it was isolating them from others. In their world, only the two of them were left.
