Chapter 50: You Don’t Want Me To Be With Your Uncle?

At eight in the morning, Warren brought breakfast and opened the door with the spare key that Asher had given him.
The house was quiet, and the living room was messy.
Asher grabbed his hair and opened the door of the bedroom. He stumbled when he saw Warren and nearly tripped himself.
“Morning, Uncle Warren!” Asher rubbed his eyes.
He put the breakfast on the table and pushed one of them toward him. “Brush your teeth and then eat it.”
Asher stretched his head to look at it and snorted. “You differentiated between us.”
“Pregnant woman breakfast,’ do you want to eat?”
“No.”
“So why are you still standing here?”
“Fine.” Asher walked to the bathroom, ignoring him, trespassing into Penelope’s room.
The heavy curtains kept the room dark.
Sitting in front of her bed, Warren smiled and squeezed her face time after time until she woke up.
“You are so childish,” Penelope said and covered her face angrily.
“Mrs. Brown made breakfast for you, and here is your favorite cake,” Warren said with a smile.
Penelope had been eating fast food for a few days. She finally began to miss Mrs. Brown’s cooking skills.
“Pull me up,” she reached out.
Her stomach was too big to move easily.
Warren put his hands on her waist and pulled her out of bed.
Penelope fell firmly on the ground. She swallowed and said, “You were strong. Can I touch your pectoral muscle?”
This blunt turning point did not hide her purpose, and Asher, who had been listening to the conversation secretly, almost slammed into the door.
He patted the top of her head and said, “I couldn’t have any alternate intentions for you. You couldn’t either. Understand?”
Penelope nodded and went to the toilet inside.
He was preparing to withdraw the curtains when Penelope turned back and reached out to touch his chest.
“It’s really hard…” With her gaze fixed, she touched his body.
He looked down at her breasts, which looked very seductive because she was pregnant. They were much bigger than before.
“It is impolite not to reciprocate,” he chuckled, trying to touch.
Penelope looked at him without screaming or stopping.
He had originally just wanted to tease her, but her reaction made him feel awkward.
Penelope laughed and said, “Look. Dealing with men is like this. Constant refusals just make them more excited. Just say, ‘Come on! I’m not afraid,’ and they may lose interest.”
He felt his cold sweat coming out. “Where did you learn these tricks?”
Penelope supported herself on his shoulder and on her tiptoes. She gently dropped a kiss on his cheek and said, “It is important for a woman to maintain mystery at the right time.”
Then she left with a sexy pose, without the clumsiness of a pregnant woman.
Warren looked at her figure shaking on the frosted glass. He sighed, smiling.
After Penelope finished washing up, Asher had nearly eaten up her cakes, with only one left.
“Will you die if you eat less?” Penelope patted his head and almost pressed him into the soup bowl.
Ross licked his leg eagerly.
“Ross, come here.” Penelope clapped her hands.
Ross shook its tail and stretched its tongue, asking for feeding.
“Ross?” Asher laughed lightly with an interested look.
Warren came back from the balcony. He had taken a business call and was now getting ready to go to the company.
“Uncle Warren, do you know what her ex-boyfriend’s name is?” Asher pointed to Penelope, laughing.
“I’m not interested in it.” He patted her head and said, “I should go to the company now. Will you go with me?”
“What will I do while you are busy with your business?” Penelope said, “I have something to deal with here. You go first.”
Warren blinked and nodded.
After Warren left, Penelope put down the spoon and asked, “You don’t want me to be with your uncle, right?”
Asher’s grin faded, and he wiped his mouth before saying, “It’s for your own good. Do you know how difficult it will be to be with him?”
“I can imagine.”
“He bears too much responsibility, including the Duncan’s Company, as well as the pressure of the Duncan family. You are not the best wife candidate. If you just date, I have no objection. But if you want to go further, it will be difficult.”
Penelope pulled her mouth down and said, “I understand all that you said. I just can’t resist trying to get closer to him.”
“If there is no result, the closer you get now, the more pain you will suffer. Do you want to experience this?”
Penelope remained silent.
“I know that what I say is nothing but a superfluous thing. You definitely know it, so you didn’t tell him that your child is his, right? You are not only afraid of him being angry, but you are afraid that he will feel pressure. Then, even if he loses interest in you in the future, it is also not easy to break up with you. Am I right?”
“Yes,” Penelope couldn’t deny it.
She could enjoy the time with him, desperate to approach him, but she would never use a child to tie him.
She was poor but never lacked ambition.
To love someone was to make him better and more perfect. It was absolutely not to struggle to pull him down to the same level as her.
However, if love was so easy to withdraw, was it really true love?

Penelope sat on the windowsill and looked at the pedestrians passing through. Occasionally, there were some old couples, and sometimes, there were children who played and laughed with each other.
She couldn’t help but look down at her stomach. She thought that if she were to have children in the future, she must keep them in a sound family.
She wouldn’t take drugs. Her husband wouldn’t have affairs. Perhaps they may quarrel occasionally or face difficulties, but she would certainly be content and happy.
She sighed lightly and got down from the window. Her movements were still agile. Asher sat in the living room, looking puzzled after he hung up.
“What’s wrong?” Penelope asked.
“My grandma asked me to take you to their house,” Asher said, looking at Penelope unbelievably.
