He smiled softly, which seemed to mock, “I’m not her. How could I forget?”
“What are you going to do? Does Asher know?”
“She’d forgotten me. This matter is only clear to us. As for Asher, it’s better for him not to know.” He shook the glass and said, “She’d forgotten it. Maybe it’s a good thing.”
Phillip is half drunk, but he can still hear properly. He smiled and said, “Did you feel upset that she’d forgotten you?”
He glanced at him. “If you’re not drunk, finish it.”
He took the wine from the ice bucket next to him and placed it in front of Phillip.
Before he could drink anymore, Phillip passed out. Warren grunted, stood up, picked up his jacket next to the door, and left.
The waiter who stood in the doorway saw him out and immediately greeted him, “Mr. Duncan.”
“Take a quilt inside. Don’t let him catch a cold.” Warren put on his clothes, saying.
“Yes. We will take care of the master Phillip.”

Penelope looked out of the window. It is quiet outside, without any movement. She looked at the clock on the wall and smiled. She immediately went to the kitchen and told Mrs. Brown. “Mr. Duncan hasn’t come back yet. He might be entertained again today.”
Just then, the sound of the car came from the yard and gradually became clear.
Mrs. Brown suddenly uttered, “Look, he is back.”
Penelope’s shoulders slumped. She barely smiled, “He’s not on time…”
She has noticed several times that Warren always came back at quarter past seven.
Originally, she was ready to avoid Mrs. Brown and the butler to sneak some food for Ross. Now it seems that the difficulty has increased.
Penelope has a very sensitive nose. She smelled the wine vapors from Warren.
“Let me help you.” Penelope took the coat from him to hang it up.
He took a few steps and turned back. He saw her holding his coat and sniffing like puppies. She seems to be enchanted.
Feeling a buzzing in his head, he asked, “What are you doing?”
“What kind of wine did you drink? It’s so fragrant.” Penelope took a deep breath and reluctantly hung up his coat.
He lifted the corner of his mouth and said, “Do you want to drink?”
“When I’m not pregnant, I can drink two bottles of this kind of wine,” Penelope said proudly.
“Aside from proving that you are a wine-o, what else does it mean?” Warren blurted out.
“Is there any other wine-o as beautiful as I?”
He glanced at her and didn’t seem to be entertained by her.
Mrs. Brown duly served the dishes. She called him out, “Mr. Duncan, dinner is ready.”
“Great. Let’s have dinner then,” He staggered to the dining table and sat down.
Penelope also walked over and sat down.
Today’s dishes are delicious and nutrition-balanced with meat and vegetables.
Penelope and Warren finished their dinner almost at the same time. Warren put his fork down and then went to the living room to watch TV. She slipped into the kitchen under the guise of helping to carry the plate.
“Mrs. Brown, wait, I’ll take a bowl of meat.”
“Are you still not full?”
“Err…”
“How did you leave the table without getting full? Are you shy? Don’t be afraid. You are two people now. No one will laugh at you.” Mrs. Brown quickly said.
“Yes… when I stood up, I found I was not full yet. I will bring this meat to my room.” Penelope followed her words, which seemed to be more convincing.
“Are you a little bit afraid of Mr. Duncan?” Mrs. Brown glanced at her with the face of ‘I understand you.
“Huh huh…”
“Actually, he is a very nice person. You will notice it after some time.”
“Really…”
“Why are you afraid of him? The people at his business were afraid that they couldn’t do their job and would be kicked out. What are you afraid of?” One of the characteristics of middle-aged women is — gossip.
Penelope swallowed and said against her conscience. “I think he is too cold. He has a poker face all day, like death. It’s terrifying.” She shook her shoulders to increase credibility.
“Oh, poor girl, you’re pregnant, having to live in someone else’s home…” Mrs. Brown turned around and was ready to comfort her. As a result, she stopped her words immediately when she saw the man standing in the kitchen with a glass of water.
Seeing Mrs. Brown’s face, Penelope knew what was going on. She felt like she was being aimed at by a volley of arrows, which was about to fly through her flesh and strike her soul.
“Mr. Duncan…”
He gave her a deep look as if she were a corpse.
He turned away, but she didn’t have the courage to follow.
Seeing is believing. Those words really slipped out of her mouth.
Warren provided her with a free house and food. But at the same time, she said that Warren is like death. She considered herself an ungrateful villain.
Penelope pouted her lips, “Bah…”
“Why can’t you keep your mouth shut? If this kind of sin was put in ancient times, you would suffer the whip!” She deeply spurned herself and blamed herself for hurting a handsome man.

Ross licked the bowl heartlessly without knowing its master offended a big shot because of it. Without Warren, who will take care of them?
Penelope lifted Ross’s two hind legs to look at his injuries. “If you recover, I will put you in a shelter. You’ve become a big problem!” Penelope murmured.
Ross pushed the bowl with its paws in the direction of Penelope, meaning it was full.
“All you do is eat, you don’t care about me at all.” Penelope worriedly sat on the carpet.
“Woof, woof, woof…”
“Forget it, you shouldn’t say anything. I’m afraid that you’ll be discovered.” Penelope squeezed its mouth.
The dog obediently sat in front of her, staring.
“You may stay a little longer if you remain obedient like that. Good boy!” Penelope patted its head gently.
Ross stared at her with his wet eyes suddenly. He seemed to understand her and gradually quieted down.
“Are people and dogs that have experienced hard times more attractive? I am, you are too.” Penelope smiled and touched the dog’s head to comfort it.
Ross didn’t bark this time. He squatted under Penelope’s feet, quietly staring.
Penelope stood up and said, “I still have to apologize to him. I have gone too far.”
Ross squinted, glanced at the closed door, and buried its head under the blanket.
