Joanne-
The maids awakened me up as usual, storming into my room and carrying out their daily tasks.
That morning, as I was eating breakfast, I was still really drowsy. because last night Trinity and I stayed up really late.
Just as vibrant and animated as ever, Trinity burst into the room as I was barely conscious and had food in my mouth.
Why does she have such a flawless appearance? I feel like a flavorless cereal that has been soaked.
“Good morning” Trinity’s calm voice made me roll my eyes.
“How much sleep did you get last night” I had to ask.
“Enough to keep me alive today” she beamed.
Okay not fair.
“Anyways I’ve got information” She closed the door behind her and rushed up to the two -person dining table, where I was, and took the only vacant seat.
“Information?” I raised my brows. “About what escaping?”
Trinity sighed. “You’re difficult”
I laughed.
Now that I think about it, I believe that running away would be the last thing I would want to do at this moment because it seems like doing so would increase my risk of getting hurt.
First of all, it’s a good thing that everyone speaks English even if I have no idea what state or nation I am in.
Second, I kind of wanted the whole thing with Lisa and the Ale-o housewives to end because I had no intention of having a child at twenty-four, and I also thought that escapism would be unhealthy for a pregnant woman.
It was not my place to know, I knew that. However, I was still damn curious.
“I’m talking about the party you’ll be attending with Hardy tonight” Trinity whispered, stretching out her hand and wiping the corners of my mouth.
I bit on my toast and raised my brows at her.
“Oh my Gosh Tri… I am not a child I can wipe my own mouth geez”
I didn’t hate it, it just felt too much.
“Sorry, I couldn’t resist, I am kind of what people call a busy body” She smiled.
“No kidding” I scoffed.
She shook her head, “Anyways, I heard the prime minster’s son and the mayor’s son will be there tonight”
“Okay” I muffled, strangely now enjoying my food.
So it is true… eating with an other party that talks a lot helps a person enjoys eating.
“What do you mean just okay… Have you seen these men?”
She giggled.
“Trinity you seem to like men a lot, I’m shocked you still haven’t gotten yourself one… I mean, you’re pretty good looking” I took a sip from my hot chocolate.
She rolled her eyes, but I could see her cheeks getting flushed and rosy.
“That’s not the point”
She brushed it off.
“And what is the point? That the president’s son is hot and so is the governor’s son?” I shrugged.
“Oh my Gosh, are even listening to me?” She was trying not to laugh. “I said the mayor’s son and prime minister”
“I tend to classify the people of politics under one bridge” I added.
Trinity sighed. “Like I said earlier, you’re difficult, anyways just brace yourself up. They’re going to be a lot of big and fancy people here tonight”
“You have a knack for trying to make people nervous Trinity… I was fine minutes ago, did you really had to go and make your research?”
“I’m sorry, I’m just looking out… you know a busy body”
“Right,” I shook my head, staring down at my empty plate.
Who the hell ate my toasts? And drank my chocolate tea?
Cause it’s still feeling like I just ate a pea.
“Anyways…” Trinity got on her feet and gently wiped off the bread crumbs on my shirt .
I glared at her.
“Why don’t you buy me a bib next time mom?” I snarled and she laughed.
“I am so sorry, I honestly couldn’t resist. It’s best I leave”
And like that, with her dark hair swaying behind her, Trinity left my room.
Well I’m kind of insanely enjoying her company these days.
She’s so nice…. To me. But annoyingly so loyal to Hardy.
And the whole master thingy they call him is annoying .
Trinity would never let a word consciously or not slip out her mouth that isn’t her place, she would straight up tell me, it’s Hardy’s place to tell not mine.
And you can never force it out of her mouth.
But either way.
I’m good.
She’ll come around I feel. When the time is right.

At five pm, a knock on my door interrupted my reading. I quickly got up, already anticipating what was about to unfold.
As soon as I opened the door, a group of maids rushed in and began preparing me for tonight’s party.
After three excruciating hours, the sun had already set and I appeared completely transformed. And in a captivating manner.
Last night, I decided to wear the ring that Hardy had given me. Surprisingly, despite its initial lightness, it felt quite heavy on my finger.
It seemed like the weight of those hefty zeros on the price tag was starting to show.
And let’s not even begin to discuss the total cost of all the rest of my outfit.
As I stepped out of my room and into the open air, the gentle breeze of the early night invigorated my senses.
The sensation it provides on my skin, gently flowed into my pores.
Does this capture the emotions experienced by individuals upon their release from prison?
Theodore graciously opened the car door for me, and I noticed his gaze briefly lingering on the silver mini dress I was wearing. He quickly averted his gaze as soon as our eyes met.
He drew a line, making it clear that any attempt to start something would be completely unfair.
Despite his eyes.
My hormones are fluctuating, and it’s important that he doesn’t misunderstand me.
I entered the car and, as usual, Hardy was already seated, patiently waiting for me.
Thanks to the bright light in the car’s backseat. I saw as His gaze briefly landed on me, but he quickly averted his eyes.
He wore all black attire, complemented by an ashy silver tie that perfectly matched my dress. He was wearing the exact same ring I had on, and wow.
We appeared as if we just got married, exuding happiness and making an effort to present ourselves as a united team no matter what.
He glanced at the ring on my finger and gave a subtle nod, acknowledging its presence.
The ride was uneventful and quiet. During the entire ten-minute drive, I found myself humming a song that I couldn’t quite place.
Hardy seemed visibly bothered by something, constantly stealing glances in my direction. However, he struggled to express his frustration directly.
He should suit himself.
–
We got to our destination and before Theodore could get the car door for me and make some weird eye movement, I got it myself and boy, Hardy looked hard.
“You could have let him get the door for you” He pressed, walking closer to me.
“It’s okay,” I shrugged.
“It’s basic etiquette, if people here saw that they would literally talk and twist it”
Since when did he care what people say?
Oh wait, we were trying to fake all these images for the women of the Ale-o house.
I gaped seeing the expensive looking cars and please tell me that was not the blade of a helicopter sitting on the roof of the building we were supposed to walk in.
“Aren’t we going to link arms like happy couples?” I pushed my brows up at Hardy when we got to the entrance and made our way to the elevator taking us to our final destination for tonight.
Hardy looked down at my arm and scoffed.
“You’re really getting into this aren’t you?”
I rolled my eyes.
“Are you linking arms or not?”
He locked arms with me and a smug appeared on his face.
“Don’t tell me you’re already falling in love with me”
Oh my gosh
He did not.
I scoffed, “Don’t flatter yourself, why would a tool fall for its handyman when it can easily be tossed, and has other tools to look at, a tool is just there to make the Handyman shine, I would rather swallow tiny bolts than fall in love with you. And men like you are not my type. I am just doing this to help your image”
From the corners of my eyes, I saw Hardy’s jaw clenched in anger.
Oops, looks like I kind of said too much.
“Nicely said” Hardy quietly grumbled as we both walked out of the elevator and walked into the room filled with dashing, rich people.
Someone hold my fuckin purse.
