Chapter Thirty-One

Book:Billionaire's Captive: Sold For His Revenge Published:2024-6-4

Joanne-
I’ve never wanted to scream so badly.
It was Monday morning, and the weekends that had just come had already disappeared so fast like the wind.
Lying on my bed, as usual, like a prisoner. I still could not deny the fact that I had been thinking about Theodore’s words since last Friday.
It was weird that he and Trinity were on the same page about me seducing Hardy. And if I did, Magically. I’d have my way here.
What was actually wrong with them?
I scoffed out loud and turned to the other side of my bed.
And what’s been burning me up on the inside since Friday was when I took all I had in me and asked Theodore if he felt mad seeing me and Hardy that day. I explained that he had gotten the wrong idea and that me and Hardy would never do anything weird.
And how did he reply?
Theodore shook his annoying long hair and said he didn’t have any right to be mad, and then I asked why, because between us we kind of had something going on.
And then he said whatever we had going on was just to fill me up that he doesn’t have anything going on with me.
He doesn’t have a place to be mad because Hardy was seen with me, and whatever Hardy wants to do with me, he has every right since he owned me.
And if I could explain how much those words hurt me so much-the last words, to be precise-I don’t freaking belong to anyone.
And maybe the fact that I really, maybe sort of wanted something to actually go on between me and Theodore.
Do I actually like him? Yeah, he is a very nice gentleman.
Do I want a romantic relationship with him? Well, that is the case here.
I want something with Theodore, but at the same time I don’t want something serious; I just want something that would maybe complete me.
Who am I kidding? I am clearly just driven by lust.
With the way I’m sounding now,.
The sound of a gentle knock on my door got me on my feet, and in an instant, I was in front of the door, opening it.
Like a swarm of bees, maids rushed into the room with suitcases and boxes in their petite hands that came in different shapes and sizes.
“What is going on?” I had to ask, as they kept going out of the room and coming in with more boxes.
“Master Hardy’s orders,” a girl replied as she walked out of the room to get more boxes.
Okay, what the hell?
I knew it’d be no one other than Hardy, but I wanted to know what these boxes contained.
I raised my brows at one of the youngest-looking maids and asked.
“What are in the boxes?”
She shook her curly head. “We do not know, ma’am… The order we got was to bring them to your room.”
I breathed out a defeated sigh and took a seat on the edge of my bed.
After a few minutes, new maids and boxes stopped arriving, and they all left my room.
Just as I got on my feet, ready to peer into each and every box that had taken half of my room,.
The door opened, and Hardy walked in.
A knock wouldn’t hurt those long and hard fingers of his now, would it?
“Good, they’re all here.” He breathed out, seeing the boxes.
“What are all these? Are they for me?” I asked, picking up a small box.
“Who else would it be for?” One of his brows arched.
I silently sneered at him before focusing on the box in my hand as I tore it open.
My eyes gawked at the flat velvet box inside the cardboard box, and when I picked up the velvet box, I gasped at seeing the diamond necklace inside.
And I almost choked on my own spit when I saw the necklace price tag sitting at the bottom of the box.
“There’s no fuckin way,” I picked up the price tag.
I could buy six houses with this freaking amount of money.
And it just costs a darn tiny diamond necklace?
If this tiny thing could cost this much, then…
I raised my head to look at the rest of the boxes, and my stomach churned just thinking about what could be inside those big boxes.
Oh, good lord.
“I’m getting you prepared for Thursday,” Hardy said, clearing his throat.
“For the white Aleo house?” I breathed out almost quietly.
“Yes, and everything here today came with a price tag.”
Clearly, I could see it; he didn’t have to repeat it.
Receiving an expensive gift is one thing, but if you accidentally come across the price, you might want to return it.
Gosh, this feels hard.
“I got not just the finest and best quality of materials for you but the most expensive in the country. And with everything here today, Joanne, I want you to memorize every material and the price it came with.” Hardy sounded almost quiet but dead serious too.
And memorize the prices of these gifts.
That is nothing hard; the numbers and amount of zeros on these necklaces might chase me tonight in bed when I go to sleep. It is surely impossible to forget.
“Women love to talk about what they’ve obtained from their partner and how much it costs. I don’t know about other women, but the women of Ale-o House. They don’t miss out on showing off, and you have to be part of that clique.”
“Wait!” I gawked at Hardy.
“So you bought all these in simple English? You want me to show off?” I scoffed, because it felt like something from a soap opera.
“In an even non stressful word ‘brag’. Brag about the tiniest thing and be full of it. Nobody likes a new shining threat and the ladies from the Ale-o house are no exception. You are going to be knowing storm they never expected”
Hardy had this darkness in his eyes as he spoke and it made me shudder so bad.
“But what if they start hating me”
I asked.
Hardy slowly wore a smirk. “That means everything is going according to plan”
Fuck.
What is he up to?
His voice was clearly giving me the chills.
“So the plan is to make these ladies hate me?” I tilted my head at Hardy.
“Giving them a reason to” He retorted.
“And bathing in expensive things is going to do the trick…” My voice slowly faded as I took another look at the place.
These boxes are crazily numerous.
I slowly gasped to myself when my head told me what Hardy was up to.
Of course according to him. I am a tool being used to fill Lisa’s place not in his heart or mind, but in the white Ale-o house and looking at these. He wants me to breathe in success and happiness to put these women on the edge, Damn I’m crazy curious about Lisa now.
How did it actually go with her and these women?
No wonder it’s called The Ale-o house, such a horrible name that weirdly suits them.
Hardy cleared his throat as he pulled out a small box from his pants pocket.
He passed it to me and watched me open it.
“There’s a private party we’ll be attending tomorrow night and three women from the Ale-o house will be there, and this is a brilliant chance to begin with”
Hardy elaborated.
My eyes fell on the diamond ring inside the box and I slowly picked it up.
“This is beautiful” I slowly gasped.
“That is all for now” Hardy gave a nonchalant reply before walking back to the door.
“I’ll see you tomorrow”
And with that, He left the room.
Admiring the ring , its tiny and hard price tag fell out and I instantly fell to my knees.
What the hell?
These zeros cannot be real, they can’t actually be real.
Wearing a ring with seven zeros , I need water before I actually pass out.
This doesn’t seem real.
I’d have to sell six of me to try to get this ring myself.
And I’m pretty sure Getting me all these will not even quake Hardy’s bank account a bit.
Lucky him.

That Monday night, Trinity and I spent our entire time opening all boxes and dramatically gasping, choking and silently screaming at every price tag.
“Why would a Dress cost this much?” Trinity sniffed.
“Should I steal something, refund it and keep the money to myself?” I crouched, staring at the glassy shoes in front of my eyes.
Trinity laughed. “You’re not stealing if it’s already yours”
“Such expensive items cannot belong to me… I mean, it just feels unreal” I scoffed.
“Well you better learn to start seeing things differently, as long as you live under or with Hardy Bensimon… Your life will gleam with crazy expense” Trinity shrugged.
I gaped.
I mean I kind of didn’t see this coming..
