Shit.
I cussed under my breath.
Since when did Hardy open the door and how long has he been standing there?
Did he actually see how Theodore and I kissed without actually saying anything?
But the most eerie question I would like to keep asking is, how the hell did Hardy open the fuckin door without me or Theodore knowing.
Hardy just kept getting creepier.
I turned to Theodore to see if he had the same freaked out expression as me, but I was surprised to see him throwing Hardy a questionable look.
His brows arched like, what-do-you-want?
“I need to speak with Joanne, personally and privately,” Hardy stepped inside the room.
Theodore looked a bit mad, but didn’t try to show so much.
“Sure” He sighed, getting on his feet.
Throwing me a small smile, Theodore exited the room, closing the door, leaving me with his not looking happy boss.
I swallowed.
I didn’t know what I looked like, but I was sure my face was as red as ever, because I was crazily heating up on the inside since the kiss.
I got on my feet.
“You want to speak with me?”
Hardy arched his brows like I didn’t have the right to ask him any questions.
But well I did anyway, so he shouldn’t sulk about it too much.
“Sit” He ordered.
And I sat.
He sighed, “I don’t want to care about whatever is going on with you and my bodyguard, but I do not want to get involved”.
Then why was He saying so? Just ignore without a trace.
I almost rolled my eyes.
“Okay” Was all I could think of and utter at that moment.
“You’ll be leaving with me for a gathering this weekend,” He informed me.
I nodded.
“And you’ll be meeting Anna there for the first time, I just got information that she’ll be attending, and instead of meeting her in the Ale-o house for the first time next week, you’ll be meeting her this weekend.”
Hardy took a step forward.
“I want you to start a conversation with her, no problem with that, she might want to start a conversation with you seeing how you’re with me. Of course Aneesa might have run her mouth about you being my fiancé, but let me give you some information. She’s definitely going to ask about a woman named Lisa, and you will play along saying you know this woman. ”
Lisa… isn’t that Hardy’s dead wife.?
I nodded, still listening to Hardy.
“You’ll say you knew Lisa, you met me through her, you both never got along, and that you never liked her.”
“What?” I found myself blinking super fast.
“Did you grab everything I just said?” I asked.
“Yes…” I nodded.
But why would he want me to say such a thing about his ex wife. Wouldn’t that make me seem like a bad person to the women?
“Speak ill about her and how you never liked her, you never knew her that much, and give a fake sympathetic comment about her with a smile at the end.” Hardy breathed out, not looking at me, but at something behind me.
Clearly even trying to get someone to talk about his wife like that was hurting him and I could see it.
I didn’t think he knew I already knew who this Lisa was, Trinity already let me out in some parts.
But to keep playing the clueless game, I go The hard way to ask.
“Who… Is Lisa?”
His eyes fell on me and his pupil got swallowed by his eyelids instantly.
“And that is definitely none of your business.” and with that he exited my room.
Leaving me to try to grab everything he had just told me to do.

.
As the weekend arrived, it swept in with ease. And on that Sunday, as soon as I finished my dinner, I quickly prepared myself by taking a bath and getting dressed.
I found myself wearing a light blue dress that almost resembled white, which complemented my brown hair and eyes. To my surprise, my hair was styled in an updo, neatly gelled and packed in a full manner.
I wore minimal makeup and delicate jewelry…
The maids had done an exceptional job, despite their youthful appearance and more relaxed approach compared to the ones at the previous villa.
Within minutes, I found myself outside, ready to meet Theodore, who would guide me to the car located behind the villa.
“You look amazing,” Was the first thing that escaped his lips the moment his eyes fell on me…
I couldn’t help it, I blushed like an idiot. compliments always got the best of me.
“Thank you” I giggled like a school girl.
“You ready?” He asked, taking his hand out and letting me clasp them with mine.
I nodded and he pulled me and led the way down the hall, until we came to an opening where the dark night sky greeted us with stars and cold.
I got into the car, and Theodore got in, ready to drive.
“Where’s Hardy? I thought we were leaving together.” I had to ask.
Theodore sighed, “He said he would drive alone, we’ll meet him there”
“Of course.” I nodded, a bit mad.
He wouldn’t want to ride with his prisoner.
“Then would you like me to sit in the front then?” I asked, referring to the driver’s seat.
“No, let me be your chauffeur for tonight.” Theodore beamed and I just let him do whatever he suggested…
I was quiet during the entire ride, and was also getting a bit sleepy.
I wasn’t supposed to be moving around so much..
If Hardy wanted to use Me so much to get to some bunch of women, he wouldn’t have let me get pregnant. He should have just let me be spirited, free, alone and not puke when I don’t want to, sleep when I don’t want to and get really bad sexual arousal.
Because pregnancy does the least you’d expect.

Theodore pulled up in front of a skyscraper and, after looking around, parked in a spot with the name “Bensimon” on a nameplate.
I was astounded to see how many vehicles were lined up in a single row with their names in front of them. They were all gleamingly new and expensive-looking under the streetlights and nighttime illumination.
I felt somewhat among, I don’t know if among was the right feeling, but that feeling of royalty hit me, but I told myself not to get ahead of myself because Hardy wasn’t giving me the life every woman wanted, he was basically using me and keeping me until Bailey’s been found.
As I walked alongside Theodore, we didn’t take the door that the other ladies did; instead, we took the back elevator until we came to an empty hallway where Hardy could be seen from afar.
As usual, he was dressed in all black, but this time, to describe how alluring he was, he wore a thick black turtleneck shirt that hugged his torso, revealing not his broad chest and shoulders, but his slim waist.
The belt around his black pants stabilized his waist. I wanted to photograph it so desperately.
His hair appeared darker, matching his dark eyes and the long dark lashes that encircled them.
Finally, we arrived at the spot where Hardy was standing, and although I was unable to determine the precise nature of the look he cast my way, I can say that while it wasn’t particularly pleasant, I was aware that it was somewhere between neutral and negative
“You can leave now,” Hardy said plainly to Theodore.
“Good luck,” Was all Theodore said to me before leaving Hardy and I alone, In the empty hallway.
I was small compared to Hardy’s height even with the very tall heels on my feet, I still felt small.
He was simply enormous.
He eyed me before he spoke again.
“Are you nervous?” He asked.
Is he worried? About me?
“No… Maybe… Kind of,” I replied.
“Well fuckin shove it inside, only criminals get nervous” He seethed and I cussed on the inside.
Hardy? Worried about me? Yeah well, maybe it’s high time I quit dreaming.
“Now remember everything I said?” He asked.
I nodded
“Good, act like you’re in love with me and act like you hate Lisa, only in front of Anna,” His last words came out as a whisper and I found my head nodding too much.
“Put your best” He added
“Sure,” I added.
He pushed out his elbow and looked down at me. I paused, hesitating, looking at him to see if he really wanted to link arms with me.
Yes, me.
Joanne.
He nodded, and in no time I linked arms with him and we walked inside the room, like a perfect happy couple.
