Jared’s POV
I stamped my foot repeated on the floor as I waited for Janet to get ready. She took forever to get ready and at this rate, we may miss our flight.
” Janet!! You’ve been inside your friggin room for way too long!” I yelled on top of my voice.
” It has just been thirty minutes!” She screamed from her room. Did she really think that thirty minutes wasn’t long?
” If I have to wait for you for five extra minutes, I’m leaving without you,” I threatened.
” I’m coming! Geez!” She complained. I was the one who ought to be complaining not her, I’m not exactly sure how I withstood her for all these years.
” Calm down, Young Master. She’ll be out soon,” our head maid tried to make me relax.
” Yeah, right. I’m begging to think males and females live in a different time frame because I’m yet to understand what you people mean by fast and slow,” I smacked my face with my hand in frustration.
” Haha, girls just love to look their best at every point in time. You’ll soon understand it when you get married,” she laughed it off.
” Let’s not go to that side at all. I’m barely considering it,” I rolled my eyeballs. Marriage seemed more scary than blissful.
” Don’t say that, Young master,” she rebuked.
” And what if I say it again?” I questioned with twisted brows.
” You need to understand the need for marriage, how will you have kids that will take over from where you stopped?” She shook her head in despair.
” Ahh, about that,” I held on to my chin thinking. ” That’s easy, I can just get a baby mama. That works,” I snapped my fingers.
” This isn’t a joke, Young master,” she took things too seriously.
” I never said I was joking,” I picked my ears before sitting down on the couch nearest to me. ” If the reason for marriage is children and I don’t want to marry, I can just have kids with multiple women and still not have to worry about being faithful to one whore,” I let my head dangle from the chair top as I stared into the ceiling.
” It’s like I’m wasting my time trying to convince you otherwise,” she sighed.
” I’m glad you’ve realized it,” I replied without looking at her.
” I can’t believe you made me come down here without even getting my full make-up done,” I heard Janet’s voice accompanied with the sound of tiny wheels. Finally!
” It took you long enough,” I sat up straight.
” As if,” she turned her head away in annoyance.
” If you still feel you need an hour makeover, you can go back to your room and forget coming on this trip with me,”
” Tsk! Whatever,”
” We’ll be leaving now,” I sighed as I waved to nanny as I liked to call her. I was going home after what seemed like forever.

Tristan’s POV
As I sat down in the office, my phone buzzed. I rolled my eyeballs, it must be Dr. Luke trying to contact me at all cost. He really hasn’t seemed to realize that I’ve abandoned him there, has he? At least, I had taken care of one potential blabber mouth. My phone rang this time around and after the caller persisted and called me three times, I decided to answer.
” Who’s on the line?” I was irritated at this point from the persistent phone call.
” You still sound as rude as ever, Tris,” a very familiar voice came from over the phone.
” Jared?” Could it be my annoying older brother?
” Yes, did you miss me?”
” Why exactly are you calling me?” I went straight to the point, I had a bad feeling about this.
” Getting straight to the point now, are we? I just thought I should pay you a visit, ” he said in his regular annoying manner.
” Did you exhaust all your credit cards?” I had to find a way to make sure he doesn’t return home.
” Don’t look at me with that sort of eye, Tris,”
” If that’s the case, I’ll send you more money,” I went straight to the point.
” You seem to have forgotten your position,” his voice went cold.
” And what do you mean by that?” I frowned.
” You telling me what to do and all, don’t forget that you aren’t the heir,” he snapped. His words angered me to the point of squeezing my phone to crumbling. ” I also forgot to tell you that I’m nearly in the country,”
” And why is that?” I interrogated wide-eyed.
” As much as I love to chill and party with cute chicks, I still need to be present at least for Dad’s burial,” his words stroke me like a lightening bolt. Whoever thought that this idiot would watch the news?
” You didn’t need to come all the way here for that. I would have handled everything,” I tried to keep my cool.
” Yes, I know you can handle things. I’ve already seen your works,”
” What do you mean?”
” Aren’t you working tirelessly to take the hospital from me? I called to let you know that it’s not going to work out as far as I’m concerned. You better be prepared,” he talked in his usual stern tone before hanging up on me.
” Drats!” I banged my fist against the desk. Why did that moron have to come back? I didn’t account for this, I thought nothing in this world would make him leave his comfort zone.
Picking up my phone, I dialed a number which was at the top of my call logs. If he refused to step down peacefully, I’d have to do things the hard way. After all, if I could do that to my own father how much more to a brother I’ve always considered my rival?
” Yes, it’s me. Can you help me do a job?” I said to the leader of the Purple mafia. I was beyond willing to take Jared out.
