The two made their way to the hotel and for some reason Sheila felt her heartbeat fasten. A nagging feeling started to creep into her, racking her brains. It was eerily quiet here which was of course not normal. This was one of the most prestigious hotels and most visited since it offered a variety of amenities so why was there nobody in the vicinity?
” Are they closed today?” That was the only logical explanation Sheila could come up with. She expected the hotel to be bursting with life at this time of the day.
” I don’t know, let’s go and check.” David answered calmly while he berated Jordan inwardly. He only asked for a surprise proposal, and not clearing the whole hotel. He would deal with that man after this was over.
” Wait!” Sheila halted in her steps and tugged David’s hand that was holding her. ” I think we should just go back. It’s illegal to trespass private property.” Sheila said with all seriousness. Seeing her looking so adorable, David felt warm inside.
” Are you afraid?” David asked with a smile. Sometimes she was too ignorant for her own Doom. He was David Brown, one of the richest people in this city and country. Even the State House was something he could enter with ease and talk less about a hotel.
” No, I just don’t want you getting into unnecessary trouble.” Sheila uttered softly with a worrying expression on her face. Her words were as sweet as a dessert in David’s ears. He couldn’t believe she was worried about him. He felt a tingling sensation hit his heart.
” Who dares seek trouble with me?” He asked, caressing her sexy cheekbones. ” Don’t worry, this hotel belongs to a friend and a business partner. We can tour without anybody stopping us.” David said casually and Sheila’s eyes widened. She always knew that he was a well connected person but it still surprised her to know he knew the owner of the Davoon hotel personally.
Seeing her all surprised and flustered, David felt like kissing her plump pink lips. He put aside his anxiety and claimed her lips in the middle of the reception hall not caring who could be watching secretly. At this point, tasting her sweet and addictive lips were the most important thing.
He thrusted his tongue into her sweet mouth, tasting every corner of her mouth. Sheila moaned into the kiss, loving the feeling of his lips wrapped with hers.
The two finally moved apart to catch their breath. Sheila could feel her legs turning to jelly. She almost slipped and fell if it was not for David who reflexively caught her with his strong hands before caging her in his embrace. Looking at her clear hazel eyes, David thought that he was definitely bewitched. Everything about her pulled him towards her like a siren singing its enchanting songs lulling one to come closer to its trap. That’s how he always felt looking at her. He, of course, was willing to be trapped, as long as it was her trapping him, he had no problem with that.
Sheila who was suddenly kissed out of nowhere could feel all blood in her body rushing to her face making it red as a ripe tomato. She felt butterflies flapping their beautiful wings on her stomach. No matter how many times David kissed her, she always had the same feeling crawling in her stomach. Excitement. Bliss.
That’s what he always made her feel.
She looked up and was met by his sinfully beautiful face. The face that always threw her off the hook. She could never get tired of admiring his face. She thought that being this beautiful was a sin. She found her fingers trailing his facial contours like they had a mind on their own. She could never keep her hands to herself in the present of this beauty.
David who found her touch pleasing leaned towards her hand enjoying her little acts. She was the woman who captured his heart wholly and could do anything, anytime to him and he would not complain. He was helpless when it comes to her, only that his helplessness gives him bliss.
After almost a minute of their silence as they got lost in each other’s eyes, David finally snapped the reason why he was here in the first place and broke the pleasant silence.
” Come.” He said, holding her hand and leading her towards the big ballroom. He had asked his assistant to decorate this room and turn it into his love confession sight. His anxiety kicked in yet again after approaching the room.
” Let’s check this room, it’s a banquet hall.” David said, leading her to the ball room and pushing it open. Sheila stepped inside and was met by the most beautiful sight she had ever seen. The room was dimly lit and rose petals were scattered all over the place. A huge circle lined with red scented candles stood at the centre of the hall. A bouquet of white tulips was placed at the centre of the circle. Sheila walked in admiring the whole setup. It was everything a woman could ever ask for. She was no different.
Seeing the arrangement, she could tell that whoever made such a setup must have put a lot of effort in it. The room was blinded and only the light was from the candles . It illuminated the whole place. It was simply magical. The blinds were red coloured and Sheila gasped in wonder. For some reason the place seemed to be in her taste. The red carpet leading to the circle erected, to the red coloured candles and blinds. Even the flowers were her favourite.
“Seems like someone will be proposing today.” She said but David still felt the longing in her voice.
‘ silly girl, ofcourse I am proposing to you today.’ he said inwardly. Sheila was about to turn back and urge David to leave the place when a big White screen lit in the podium. What surprised her was not the screen but the words displayed on the street.
” SHEILA MASONS, WILL YOU MARRY ME.”
That was what was displayed in the screen making Sheila gasp in shock. Turning back to look at the man standing behind her, she was shocked again seeing David on one knee, holding a sparkling small ring in his hands.
