It was on a Monday morning and the father and daughter duo were already settled at the dining table ready for breakfast. However, someone was missing.
Just when David was about to open his mouth and inquire about Sheila’s whereabouts, she emerged from within the kitchen.
She carried a bowl of something steaming as she walked towards the table.
David broke into a sweet smile seeing his little woman had taken the initiative to cook for him.
His daughter however snorted upon seeing his father smile.
‘ Just you wait. I will wipe the smile of your face’ she swore Inwardly.
Sheila walked to the table and placed the bowl of noodles and fried eggs before Lily before taking her seat.
” Sorry baby, I had to make sure the noodles were well seasoned so it took some time.” She apologised.
” It is okay, beautiful sister. It is worth the wait.” Lily said sweetly, her eyes travelling to her father’s face suggestively.
Sheila turned to look at David and the smile on her face fell.
” This looks so delicious. I’m gonna eat to the last bite.” Lily added, rubbing her hands together before picking the chopsticks and started eating her food.
Sheila looked between the father and daughter awkwardly. Why did it sound like there was an ongoing war between the two and she was stuck in between?
The look on David’s face was enough to give her goosebumps. The man looked like he was owing the world millions of dollars.
She poured herself a glass of orange juice and sipped on it while cutting her bacon.
A loud stabbing sound echoed in the room making Sheila jump in fright.
She turned to look at Lily who seemed unfazed and was busy slurping the noodle soup.
Sheila then turned to look at David and the guy was brutally stabbing the food on his table.
His actions surprised her.
She could not help but wonder what was wrong with the man?
Why was he moody when he woke just fine in the morning?
They had even made out so the cause of his displeasure was unknown to her.
Choosing to ignore him, she encouraged Lily to hurry up and finish her food.
After Lily was done with her food, Sheila ensured that she had everything on her backpack for school.
Clutching her porch, the two made their way outside.
David followed them, albeit begrudgingly.
The chauffeur was already waiting for them.
With Lily in her arms, the family of three drove towards Lily’s school.
” Thanks beautiful sister, the meal was very delicious.” Lily started.
Her adorable self making Sheila pinch her chubby cheeks.
” You liked it that much?” She asked. She had made a simple meal for the girl because she didn’t have the time to make any complex meal.
” Yes, I like it very much.” Lily answered. Anything made by her beautiful sister was delicious.
” Then I will prepare it for you everytime you want. Just let me know when you want to eat noodles again.” Sheila replied dotingly.
She had come to love Lily like her own daughter. She is wise and adorable, anybody could fall in love with her.
David snorted at her words, his eyes remained trained outside.
Sheila did not know what the deal was with him.
He seemed annoyed with her, but Why? She didn’t know.
Deciding not to tire her brain cells trying to figure him out, she ignored him totally and concentrated on making little talks with Lily.
Twenty minutes later, the two arrived at the kindergarten.
Sheila helped Lily down before stepping down herself.
” Be a good girl okay? Remember what I told you?” Sheila asked and the girl bobbled her head.
” Yes, I should be good to my teacher and friendly with my classmates.” The little girl narrated earning kisses on her cheeks from Sheila.
” That’s my Sweet girl. I will pick you from school later.” Sheila promised.
The two bid goodbye and Lily ran inside the school gate.
Sheila turned to look at the car. She did not want to drive with David especially when he seemed annoyed with her for reasons well known to her.
They would be heading to the office together.
It’s been a month since David recruited her to take up the position of the company auditor.
With her degree in finance and business management, he gave her the position when his previous auditor betrayed him by stealing from the company.
Walking to the car, she opened the door and flopped on the chair.
Immediately the car started moving, David pressed the partition button before pulling Sheila into his arms.
He made her sit on his lap before he roughly tugged her shirt to reveal her sexy collarbones.
Without saying a word, he bit her neck before soothing it with his tongue.
Sheila could feel that he was venting his frustrations but from what? She did not know.
Feeling that it wasn’t enough, David slammed his lips on hers. He nibbled and sucked on them while his hands travelled underneath her shirt, cupping her bosom.
” Do you love Lily more than me?” David asked out of the blue, surprising Sheila.
She did not know where the talk came from or from where he got that Idea from.
Sheila frowned, pushing David’s face at an arm’s length before observing him.
” What are you saying? Where did you get that idea from?” She asked.
” It’s not just an idea, I know it.” David declared. There was a hint of pain in his voice making Sheila’s heart clench painfully.
” That’s not true. I love you just as much as I love Lily.” Sheila replied with all seriousness.
Where did he get such an absurd idea from?
The two of them were the most important people in her life. Not even Vanessa could compare to them anymore.
The two of them are her world now.
” You made her breakfast and did not bother making mine. Am I your man or not?”
It was until he uttered those words that realisation finally hit her.
So this was all about the bowl of noodles she made for Lily?
Can the man be any more petty?
” Don’t be childish, Lily is your daughter.” She reprimanded but the look on his face told her that those were two different things.
Sheila facepalmed. She knew that David was a petty man but she did not expect his pettiness to be to this extent.
” I am your man.” David asserted his claim, making Sheila roll her eyes at him.
” Okay, I will make you noodles when we go home.” She promised.
Seeing that she was dealing with a childish man, Sheila could only placate the man by promising to cook for him.
She did not know whether to cry or laugh at her man’s behaviour.
” Really?” David was sceptical about her promise. Seeing his nonchalant she seemed, he suspected she was just brushing him off to appease him.
” Yeah, I promise.” Sheila said with a smile making David pull her into her kiss.
When they pulled away, Sheila was breathing heavily. His kisses were addictive and she found herself unable to breathe.
” I love you.” He said, his thumb caressing her now swollen lips.
” Love you too.” Sheila said, burying herself into his chest.
David smiled hearing her words.
Who would have thought that he, a man in his early thirties would fall in love with a little woman called Sheila Masons?
Before he met her, he knew nothing about passionate love but she came and rocked his world, creating a storm in his rather peaceful life.
Falling in love with Sheila had to be the most beautiful feeling and the biggest achievement was making her his.
When the car came to a stop at the company parking lot, David helped Sheila tidy her clothes before he helped her step outside.
The two then headed towards the presidential elevator.
When Sheila arrived here for the first time, she came with Lily and the employees assumed she was Lily’s maid
She did not try to correct them, making them think however they wanted. That’s until she was introduced as the new financial manager and auditor of the company. Those who looked down on her were forced to eat their words. Ofcourse, David did not fail to act like the protective boyfriend he was. He would shoo away any male species trying to get close to his little woman.
Due to that, many employees assumed that the two were related.
Sheila was glad that they did not get to know about the relationship between the two. She was the one to keep her professional life away from her personal life.
